Chapter 1720: Chapter 112: The Closest Farce to the Truth
Ashen Castle.
The Dwarf King, who had failed to abstain from drinking for the one hundred and eighty-sixth time, had just woken from a slumber and was about to have a small drink when the bad news arrived.
Whether it was the Frank Empire or the Iberia Kingdom, both were stronger powers than the Dwarf Kingdom.
The reason he could sleep well was because the minor Human Kingdoms served as a buffer, preventing direct contact with these giants.
"Is the news true?"
The Dwarf King asked in terror.
Facing attention from the two most powerful Human nations would make even the Elf Race feel headachy, let alone the Dwarf Kingdom.
Worse, one of their good neighbors was already a kingdom.
Since breaking free from the control of the Clergy, the Kingdom of Rusenia had launched a massive anti-reform religious movement, achieving significant success in recent years.
With three major enemies surrounding them, it seemed like the Dwarves had no way to survive.
"Your Majesty, although this news is hard to accept, it is indeed true.
The Frank Empire and Iberia Kingdom have both started acting under the banner of resisting the Different Races, and their armies have already begun mobilizing. It won’t be long before we have two more hostile neighbors!"
Moyi replied with a grave expression.
As the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he couldn’t escape responsibility for such changes.
But some things were beyond their control.
In enemy territory, the Department of Foreign Affairs didn’t even have the chance to execute their strategic maneuvers.
No matter how clever the plan, as long as it was proposed by them, the Human Race would automatically view it as having "evil intentions".
Apart from outright sowing discord, there wasn’t much they could do to divide the relationships among the Human nations.
"No way to stop it?"
As the Dwarf King finished speaking, the hall fell into silence. Even the sound of heartbeats could be heard clearly.
If they could stop it, then the leader of the Anti-Human Alliance wouldn’t be the Elf Race but the Dwarves.
Frankly, the Dwarves don’t look much different from Humans.
If there is a difference, the Dwarves fully exemplify "good things come in small packages".
The average height of an adult Dwarf is only around 1.23 meters, with a bit of grooming and makeup, they could easily pass as Human children.
However, in terms of strength, cultivation talent, and lifespan, the Dwarves surpass the Humans.
At the dawn of Human dominance over the continent, the pride of the Dwarves skyrocketed, once believing themselves to be the Children of Destiny.
Unfortunately, their innate talent in metallurgy also comes with significant drawbacks.
Years of working with geothermal energy and minerals have led to a high percentage of infertile clan members within the Dwarf Race.
This issue directly propelled the Dwarves to advance in the medical field of infertility.
Even though postnatal treatment helped recover to a certain extent, the diminished fertility was inevitable.
Their road to dominance ended prematurely before it even began.
"Your Majesty, the Frank Empire and Iberia Kingdom have never been on friendly terms, yet this time they are acting together, clearly indicating a prior conspiracy.
According to Human world norms, stationing troops in another country without invitation is a serious violation of sovereignty.
The best way is to stir up neighboring countries, escalate the issue, and draw in Human Alliance intervention.
Given the current situation, the chance of this happening is next to none.
My neighboring countries have publicly stated that they refused the stationing of troops by the two countries, but still couldn’t deter their resolve.
If they had no way to appease the Human Alliance, the Franks and Iberians wouldn’t dare to act this way.
Considering the continental situation, I suspect that these two countries have either made a deal with the Five Nations Alliance or with the Alpha People!"
Prime Minister Aaron analyzed calmly.
The Dwarf Race was powerless, and the entire Anti-Human Alliance had no capacity to stop this, and intervening meant war.
The Elf Race, as the leader, did not currently even want to engage in a decisive battle with the Humans.
Stuck with an unreliable leader, these minor players were destined for misery, with no confidence to act tough.
If a new continental war were to break out, it’s likely the Elf Race would choose to observe first, waiting until everyone was almost exhausted before making a move.
Whether other races could endure, it’s uncertain for now, but the Dwarves certainly cannot.
Thinking about facing the alliance of Human countries from the South Continent during war, Prime Minister Aaron lost his confidence.
"There’s no need to doubt, they have certainly made a deal!
Only a few countries in the Human Alliance actually have any say.
If the Franks and Iberians dare to act this way, they must have first persuaded some of those countries to support them.
Without making deals with the Alpha People, who else could they negotiate with besides the other three great kingdoms of the South Continent?
It appears a new continental war is on the verge of breaking out again.
The Kingdom of Alpha annexes the Orc Empire, the Frank Empire, and Iberia Kingdom annex us, and then ally with the Three Kingdoms in the Central Continent to split the Central Region.
The Human Race seizes dominance of the continent, with the three leading Human superpowers feasting, leaving the remaining Human Kingdoms to pick up the scraps.
Once the enemy’s plan is complete, this will be a perfect grand strategy of the ages!"
Viewing political issues from the perspective of interests can simplify many things.
With limited information, the Dwarf King managed to piece together most of the truth through deduction.
The subsequent plan to divide the continent hasn’t been finalized yet, but it’s only a matter of time.
Seeing the truth, however, doesn’t change the awkward current situation of the Dwarf Kingdom.
