Chapter 594: +Chapter 594+
Angelo wasn’t kept waiting for long, Rosie walking up to him with a smile. "I hope I didn’t keep you waiting?" She asked to be polite, leading the way up the stairs.
"Not long," Angelo answered directly.
"Davian ordered in breakfast before he left, I hope you don’t mind." Rosie went on.
She had a very high opinion of the quiet Omega, she needed to run down to the company to handle some things so she was grateful he had agreed to keep Lake company.
"I don’t... Is Lake alright?" Angelo blurted out.
Rosie nervously laughed, "He is actually, we are just a little worried."
Angelo took that in stride, "You’re not staying?"
She shook her head, heading to Lake’s bedroom, "I have a few things I need to do."
Angelo didn’t mind much, he was also very free. Even when he accompanied Nikolai to he bar, all he did was nap and lounge in comfortable chairs.
"Here he is," Rosie announced, stopping in front of one of two doors in a completely isolated hallway. "The order should be about here, I’ll go bring it up."
With that she left Angelo behind, disappearing around a corner. Angelo knocked lightly, opening the door when he got a response from within.
Lake was bundled up in bed with bright eyes, "Hi, I’m so sorry my mate roped you into this."
Angelo awkwardly stepped into the sunny room, the gold theme of the room was soothing despite how bright it was, it brought out the warmth in Lake’s eyes. "I don’t mind."
Lake sat up and patted the bed next to him, "I had a brief hot flash episode this morning," He didn’t hold back, "So I get to lie in bed all day and watch shows, join me?"
Angelo had been fully dressed for the day, complete with his knives strapped in. He awkwardly shuffled over to the bed, experiencing a situation like this for the first time.
Lake just patiently waited for him to walk over, his expression open even as he watched Angelo come to a bit of a confused stop next to his bed. "You can put your knives on that nightstand."
Angelo did as he was told, methodically taking out far more knives than Lake had been expecting, placing them next to the colorful hairpins already on the nightstand.
Lake’s eyes widened as he watched Angelo take out more knives from the least expected places, reminded all over again that the quiet Omega was incredibly dangerous.
When the knives were all carefully put away, Angelo took off his combat boots and got on the bed, black hair a halo around his concerned face.
Lake already turned on the large screen television on the far wall, big enough that the distance didn’t hinder watching. "Do you want a hairband for your hair?" He offered, pointing at the plain black one in his hair.
Angelo’s expressions were very minute, and unless one was paying attention, they would think he didn’t have any. "Yes, thank you."
Lake was out of bed with a little hop at his affirmation, going over to the large drawer specifically for his hair accessories. "What color do you want?" He asked generously, not quite sure what would suit him.
"Blue," Angelo absently replied without much thought.
Lake grabbed a pastel blue headband and made his way back to the bed.
By the time Rosie returned with the order of food, completely with trays and everything else they would need on a mobile tray, they were both cozied up in Lake’s bed, both sporting headbands.
Rosie paused at the door, a growing smile on her face as she took them in. "You both look like you’re having fun."
Angelo and Lake fit right in with the delicate ambiance of the room, at least right until you looked past Angelo’s delicate face to the dangerous-looking black shirt he had on.
"Sure you don’t want to join us?" Lake teased, knowing she couldn’t.
Rosie pouted as she pushed the tray closer, "Call me right away if you need anything, Davian would probably be too busy."
Lake accepted even though he knew that he wouldn’t be calling her. The only thing he wouldn’t be able to handle by himself would definitely involve the baby, and then calling Doctor Perez was a far reasonable option.
Rosie left after saying her ’byes’ and reassuring her boss that she had packed up her portion of breakfast to take with her to work.
Lake turned to Angelo when it was just the two of them again, "Is there anything you would like to watch?"
"I’m fine with whatever you pick," Angelo said hastily. He simply didn’t have any suggestions; the only piece of media he had watched were the cartoons at Nikolai’s penthouse apartment.
"We can just take turns then," Lake decided, tone gentle. "We might be here all day."

The location that Jael sent to Davian was at the edge of Asher’s turf, practically all locations were, so it didn’t take too long to get there.
The sound of gunshots going off long before the club came into view wasn’t at all surprising, if anything, it sounded far too quiet, like things were wrapping up.
Davian slowed down as they approached, cars parked haphazardly around the entrance to the club. Even before the club came into view, there was a large neon sign board of the silhoutte of a woman with a large bow pinned to the small of her back.
It was morning so the neon sign held little of the brilliance it did when the sun set.
The parking lot of the nightclub was a battle ground as expected but things were a little off. Jael was standing in a corner with a small group of women and men who looked to be the workers at the club crowded behind him.
Asher’s men were also at the parking lot but they were spread out, completely idle. Most of the shooting came from within the club, and the only person missing was Asher, so it meant that the Mafia King had to be in there with all the members of the raiding gang.
