Chapter 1316: Chapter 1316: Cooking Personally

The other side.

Chi Enen first drove to the supermarket, bought the necessary items, and then drove back to the villa.

Quan Dongting had already taken Nuonuo out, and Baby Chi was ready for school, leaving only Aunt Wang at home.

The servant was extremely surprised to see her return, "Miss, why are you home from work so early today?"

Chi Enen took the things she bought from the car, closed the car door, and said while walking inside, "I still have to go to the company later. By the way, Aunt Wang, I remember there’s a new thermos bucket at home that hasn’t been used yet, right?"

"There is a thermos bucket..."

"Could you please find it for me? I’ll need it later."

"Uh..." Aunt Wang saw the dishes in her hand and, although she didn’t understand what she was up to, immediately said, "I’ll find it right away."

"Okay."

Chi Enen carried the dishes into the kitchen.

She had bought tomatoes, eggs, and noodles, and besides that, she also bought a piece of frosted Country J’s beef, broccoli, and so on.

It had been a long time since she last cooked. After turning on the faucet, she first found an apron and put it on, only then starting to systematically wash the tomatoes, green onions, broccoli, etc.

After washing, she chopped the broccoli, threw it into boiling water for a while, then took it out, and placed it on a plate for later use.

Found an unused empty wine bottle, placed the steak on the cutting board, and began to pound it.

This was a method she found online, supposedly making the steak more chewy when cooked.

Li Beijue was particularly picky about food, so even though this method was time-consuming and laborious, Chi Enen decided not to skip this step.

Because the noodles, once cooked, would quickly become greasy if left there, she started with the steak.

She added cooking wine and edible salt to the pounded steak, then poured oil into the flat-bottomed pan, waiting for the oil to heat before letting it cool slightly, and then placed the steak inside... The pan immediately erupted with sizzling sounds, and hot oil splattered everywhere.

Chi Enen’s cooking skills were as average as they could be, and faced with such a situation, she didn’t know how to handle it, having no choice but to bravely turn the steak in the pan amidst the splattered hot oil.

When the steak was almost done, she poured in the red wine she had prepared earlier.

It might have been because she fried it for too long earlier; even after adding red wine for coloring, the steak didn’t quite match the image she found online. Others looked perfect in every aspect, while hers just looked... not so great.

"Forget it, it should be fine."

She shifted her gaze, deciding it’s out of sight, out of mind.

After washing the pan, she began making the tomato egg noodles.

Aunt Wang had already found the thermos bucket. Seeing the red wine... steak she had placed aside, she was surprised but didn’t want to discourage her, so she voluntarily said, "Miss, should I pack this up? Let me help you with it."

"Okay."

Aunt Wang helped her pack up the steak.

Chi Enen then methodically began to make the tomato egg noodles.

Compared to the red wine steak, which she was not familiar with and which required more precise cooking skills, Chi Enen could make tomato egg noodles with ease.

In a few quick moves, she pan-fried the golden brown egg, added water, tomatoes, noodles, and green onions. Each step was smooth and effortless.

Because she was worried the noodles would become greasy quickly, she deliberately added a bit more water while cooking. The milky white broth submerged the noodles, with a layer of pink tomato color and a sprinkle of green onions on top, making it look much more appetizing in the thermos bucket than the red wine steak.
