Chapter 1266: Chapter 1266: The Truth and Old Master Li’s Attitude Are…
As soon as Chi Enen handed a cup of warm milk to Old Master Li, the servant seemed to be petrified, staring this way. Hearing Old Master Li’s command, they hurriedly brought over the cube sugar.
And cleverly placed the cube sugar on Chi Enen’s side.
Seeing the cube sugar placed beside Chi Enen, Old Master Li then picked up his warm milk in peace. Habitually sipping it as though it were tea, only realizing after that he was drinking milk, not tea!
He then put down the cup and looked at Chi Enen who added the sugar cube for him, saying, “Beijue returned from Country S, did you know?”
“I know.”
“He came back but didn’t look for you first thing, don’t you find it strange?”
Chi Enen didn’t understand what he meant.
Old Master Li furrowed his eyebrows, seemingly unsure how to say these things to her, but still looked at the clueless Chi Enen and said, “I’ve heard about the Scarlett incident, and I know how you resolved it. I called you over today, not to talk about Scarlett, but to tell you. When you had the ‘car accident’ and your whereabouts were unknown, Beijue heard about it in Country S and was incredibly worried! To come back and find you as soon as possible, he rushed to finish matters in Country S and return. Ignoring the danger, he led a direct assault to the building where hostages were being held. While rescuing the hostages, his shoulder got shot, and he passed out.”
“When my men found him and took him to the Hospital, upon waking, the doctor discovered he…” Old Master Li paused, his voice turning serious, “had been hypnotized.”
“Hypnotized? What does it mean? What does being hypnotized entail?” It was Chi Enen’s first time hearing this term.
Li Beijue was hypnotized?
Chi Enen’s heart started racing.
Old Master Li, however, appeared very calm. He had already spent enough time digesting the news, so now he remained composed and calm. “It means some method was used to temporarily seal off a part of his memory.”
Chi Enen opened her mouth, her throat dry. After a moment, she softly asked, “That part of the memory is… me?”
Old Master Li nodded, “Yes, it’s you.”
He also didn’t know who hypnotized Li Beijue, nor could he understand why they went through the trouble to erase the part of Beijue’s memory that involved Chi Enen.
His eyes narrowed sharply.
He would have people investigate all of this.
But before that, he temporarily couldn’t deal with the hypnosis on Beijue, “I’ve already arranged for expert doctors from Country S to conduct a comprehensive medical checkup on him. The good news is, likely due to insufficient time, Beijue is only temporarily hypnotized. The bad news is, despite it being temporary, the experts and doctors haven’t found a way to break the hypnosis.”
Because hypnosis, though part of the medical area, is quite a niche subject, there are very few outstanding talents in this field.
Also, hypnosis is more about the psychological aspects. If it was an injury or sickness, at least you could see where the problem is. For psychological issues, you can’t exactly open up someone’s brain to see what’s wrong.
So, even if it’s temporary, recovering from it becomes a big problem.
It might resolve immediately, or it could take some time.
Old Master Li was straightforward, “I hope you can try to help Beijue recover his memory because you might be more useful to him than any expert!”
Chi Enen thought he would tell her to stay away from Li Beijue, but unexpectedly, what Old Master Li said was entirely different from what she imagined!
