Chapter 1277: Chapter 1277: Suddenly Lends a Hand

Chi Enen had no idea she was already on someone’s radar.

When she went out, the gossip outside wasn’t as intense anymore; probably the initial excitement had faded.

She just reached her position and was about to open her laptop to take a look at a proposal sent over from Ryan’s side during her downtime.

Just as she sat down, her female colleague from the next door seat handed her cup in her direction, "I want a cappuccino, two and a half cubes of sugar, remember, not two, not three, I want two and a half."

The female colleague on the right also handed over her cup, a bit more politely than her colleague on the left, "I drink lemonade; I don’t have any special requirements, just lemonade will do. Thank you."

Chi Enen had worked at a radio station before, understanding that the bigger the company, the clearer the hierarchy. Apart from the distinction between leaders and regular employees, there would be a distinction between newbies and old hands.

Generally, every new hire in the company, aside from handling their official duties, would also need to be a part-timer helping others with some trivial tasks, even helping with making tea and organizing office desks. Once the next group of newbies arrived, the former newbies turned into seasoned employees, requiring the next batch of newbies to do the same tasks.

Chi Enen knew this rule, but she wasn’t planning on doing it.

She was just contemplating whether to refuse.

Then she heard a voice interject.

"You, come to my office, help me send the meeting materials to the 88th floor, I have to wait a bit before I can go up."

The male voice was clear and sunny, making people feel very comfortable upon hearing it.

Chi Enen turned around, surprised to see who was helping her out, only to find it was someone completely unknown to her.

The man was about 1.8 meters tall; though his height and build didn’t match up to Li Beijue, he still gave off a overall nice vibe, dressed in a suit and leather shoes, looking every bit like a business elite. Apart from that, his eyes were particularly captivating; generally, men working in big companies, due to stress and workload, would often wear glasses or have weary-looking eyes. He had none of that; his eyes were bright and clear.

Though Chi Enen knew the man must be over 20 years old, his eyes had a surprising clarity akin to that of a 20-year-old teenager.

He had a youthful presence.

Chi Enen was still wondering which colleague came to her rescue when she heard the two female colleagues who had earlier asked her for water respectfully call him, "Director."

Director?!

Chi Enen hadn’t linked him with the title of director.

She thought someone who could reach a director’s position at Li Headquarters would at least be around forty years old; this man didn’t look forty at all.

She thought he was at most a team leader or something.

"Hm, notify others to prepare; once I finish the meeting upstairs, we’ll hold our morning meeting below." Kang Hao naturally instructed.

Despite his youthful appearance, his words carried significant weight.

The two female colleagues promptly replied, "Alright, Director."

Kang Hao turned to leave, then turned back around, glancing at Chi Enen who was still standing in place, "You, come to my office."

With that, he turned and walked ahead.

Chi Enen followed behind him, wondering if she had just imagined it; she felt this director’s attitude towards her was quite friendly, much friendlier than the two female colleagues earlier. Yet, she hadn’t met this director before—did the Master give him a heads-up beforehand?
