Chapter 1772: Chapter 1775: The Child Was Kicked by Tara Hammond
“Jeremy, be careful…” A figure suddenly rushed onto the stage, shielding Jeremy.
Jeremy looked closely and discovered that the person holding him, taking the hit from Tara Hammond’s foot for him, was Tiffany Cooper.
“Tiffany, save me… Please save me…”
“Jeremy, don’t be afraid. Tiffany will save you now.”
Even though Tiffany took the hit for Jeremy, she, being a weak woman, stood no chance against the bodyguards Tara brought.
However, after delaying for a few seconds, she was pulled away by Tara’s men.
“Bitch!” Tara went up and slapped Jeremy in the face.
“Trying to seduce my husband and dare to flaunt yourself here? I’ll beat you to death!”
Tara knew Robbie Bright was also downstage, but she wanted to gamble, bet that Robbie wouldn’t dare to come up and lose face at this moment.
If in the past her beauty was still intact, someone as scheming as Tara would never do something so reckless and disgraceful.
But now things have changed; her looks are gone, and this woman is actually pregnant with a bastard.
Leaving this woman and the bastard in her belly will only threaten her and Evelyn’s position.
Tara had thought it all through.
She wanted to use this opportunity, taking advantage of Robbie not daring to step up and lose face, pretending not to know that this woman was pregnant, and in front of everyone, abort her child!
Tara grabbed Jeremy, swinging her arms, slap—slap—slap—
Three slaps landed on Jeremy’s face.
Jeremy’s arms were held by two bodyguards, forcefully pressed, kneeling on the ground.
Tara kicked her without even needing to lift her foot high.
From an angle where no one could see, she brutally kicked Jeremy’s lower abdomen with the sharp tip of her high heel.
“Ah—no—no—” The piercing pain hurt Jeremy so much that cold sweat covered her forehead.
Tiffany cried out, wanting to rush to save her, but was mercilessly suppressed by the bodyguards.
As for Robbie Bright, he stood on the steps, unable to go up or down.
He desperately wanted to rush over, push Tara aside, and save the woman carrying his flesh and blood.
But he couldn’t.
The celebration today had attracted numerous prominent figures; influential individuals from B City’s political and business sectors had complex ties to both him and Tara.
Take His Excellency, Mr. Frank Chamberlain, for instance.
If it weren’t for Tara and Evelyn acting as intermediaries, he would never have associated with such a figure.
Compared to twenty years ago, Robbie indeed wielded much power.
But simultaneously, he greatly relied on the upper echelon resources Tara provided.
To face Tara down, in front of so many people, he couldn’t do it.
So…
“Robbie, Robbie save me… Save our child…” In Jeremy’s most helpless and painful moments, she finally saw Robbie Bright on the steps, looking worriedly at her.
She reached out to him, hoping he would save her.
But the man she thought capable of anything, the biological father of her child, her lawful husband, stood there indifferently.
Watching her fall, seeing the blood pouring from beneath her, staining her dress, yet afraid to step forward.
“Hmph, dying vixen, at this moment still trying to seduce a man!” Tara went up again with a heavy kick.
“You all, beat her severely. Let this vixen know that stealing someone’s husband will have divine retribution!”
The bodyguards obeyed and immediately started punching and kicking Jeremy as she lay on the ground.
And Tara, contemptuously dusting off her hands, gracefully walked down.
Passing Robbie Bright, she proactively took Robbie’s hand, and in an elegant tone said, “Husband, is that little floozy on stage the girl who has been pestering you lately?”
Tara had half her face covered by gauze, exposing the other half.
Robbie focused his gaze on the unmarred half of her face, momentarily taken aback, “Yes, it’s her who’s been pestering me.”
He had protected Jeremy well, having no idea how Tara discovered it.
But it’s okay; since she had already found out, the child was also aborted.
Robbie Bright was a man who calculated well; he knew what was most important for him now.
So, without hesitation, Robbie Bright sold out Jeremy.
