Chapter 360: Back to School
The Veil’s End festival went down without a hitch, even in the capital nothing catastrophic happened. Not even a minor incident. Not unless you count drunken fights as an incident that is.
That said, the following morning, there were several people lying out cold on the streets when I came out.
I simply slinked past any I came across, making my way to a massage parlour that I’d heard about in passing some time ago.
And I didn’t have to worry about making an appointment beforehand because for the next couple of days it was first come first serve. Another thing I didn’t have to worry about was the fee also, since they would just open whenever they were fully staffed and ready for the next couple of days starting today.
Which luckily for me, just so happened to be shortly after I arrived.
"Welcome, I see that you’re up bright and early. That because you wanted a massage?" The woman opening the store asked with a cheery smile.
"Yup. Even went to bed earlier than everyone else. Not because of this though, this was decided on a whim when I got up." I affirmed with a nod.
"Come on in then." The woman slid herself aside and gestured for me to come inside, to which I graciously accepted and entered the establishment.
Upon entering, I was greeted to the sight of a pristine white tiled room that smelled vaguely of lemons and incense.
I was then ushered deeper into the facility where I would receive my free massage and a complimentary spa bath afterwards.
I entered a room where a lady awaited me. She bowed and asked me what kind of massage I wanted. I replied just a basic one to help with stress.
She acknowledged my request and asked me to lay face down on a long board, with my face, breasts and cocks slipping through a couple of holes in them.
Once that was done, she began to massage my body, starting with the base of my neck.
And my Goddess, was it amazing. The way she pressed into my skin and rubbed my bones, making them pop and crack.
Ah, it was just amazing. And it felt right too, the way that it caused my muscles to loosen up and relax. And my bones also felt like they were being realigned into position from being out of position for who knows how long now?
Either way, it was a heavenly experience. And she had only done my upper body. She had yet to do my tail, which was hanging off the end a little bit.
And that felt even better than everything she’d done so far.
She began by coating my tail in a layer of oil, making sure it soaked in everywhere that she could reach. Then, she used some sort of technique that did something to the insides of my tail that just made it go completely limp. Something I’d never experienced before.
When she was done with my whole tail, she turned me over herself with expert delicateness, making sure that none of her work was undone.
And then she did everything again but to my front side this time. And now that she had finished massaging my whole body, she left me to lie there for an hour, periodically checking in on me every fifteen minutes to make sure I didn’t fall asleep.
After the hour was up, she forcefully made me get up, despite me not wanting to, and guided me to the baths, where she cleaned me up and left me to rest further and soak in the perfectly warm waters.
I let out a deep sigh, filled with absolute peace, as if all the worries of the world are none of my concern because they didn’t exist.
Of I knew they did, but for a brief moment, I allowed myself to feel as if they didn’t. And for the first time in ages, I actually was able to just enjoy myself, not caring about anything going on in the world.
I spent the next few hours in there, with more people coming to join me every so often after their own massages.
Eventually though, I had to get out. It was a bit sad as I wanted to stay for a bit longer, but I didn’t make a fuss. I’d stayed long enough. Plus, I had to go back and let my friends know that I was okay, and that I wasn’t mysteriously kidnapped again.
After that, it was business as usual for the next day. Then the day after that, it was finally back to school.
And I couldn’t be happier.
It had been so long since I’d been to school, or had a schedule or any sort of consistency in my life. Or at least it felt like that anyway.
Regardless, I was happy to return to some semblance of normality. Even if it only lasted during the time I was in the academy, it was still nice to know that this place could take my mind of all my worries by replacing them with different ones.

Several weeks had passed and it was now the end of the month. And we were doing a standard test in each of our chosen classes.
And just like last time, I managed to pass each and every one of them. Though I did fall behind in my Etiquette class compared to the rest.
It was also said that the Duchess’ nephew went missing, but I of course knew the truth and that he wouldn’t be returning. He was gone forever, not even a chance to reincarnate.
Not that I cared of course, he was an absolute piece of scum that didn’t deserve the gift of life, nor a second chance. Plus, he was incredibly stupid and conceited too, letting a demon take hold of his very being like that.
Either way, it was now time for me to come and test my [Astromancy] skills. This kind of came out of nowhere last week.
He said that he wanted to test my abilities in combat. And not just like when we sparred against one another, but in actual combat against other people or against dungeon monsters.
According to him, this was the best way for him to determine whether or not he should continue training me at this point, because my powers had become far greater than his.
I thought it would take many more years for me to reach this stage with my powers, but apparently my talent was greater than anything he could’ve ever expected.
Either way the day had arrived for me to complete this test.
Eric brought me to a secluded space in the middle of nowhere out in the dune seas. Beneath the place we were was a secret dungeon that could only be accessed by those who had an affinity for [Space].
The rules for this dungeon test were to only use my [Space] affinity to get to the fifth floor of the dungeon. I could use my other powers as well, but only as supplementary additions to my space skills. So, unfortunately for me, no [Lust] unfortunately. I could use [Fire] though.
Either way, it was now time to begin the test.
