Chapter 325: There Is A Way
The Yin Mirror paused for a while, then softly added, [Please forgive me for not asking your or that young lady’s consent before establishing the partnership contract.]
Now that he was her Master, Feng Xiyan could tell the Yin Mirror was sincerely apologetic.
After a moment of silence, he said, "Gui Ying told me your last owners were a couple."
[That’s right.] The Yin Mirror hesitated, then asked, [Master, do you wish to know if you and that young lady are destined as a couple?]
At her words, the tips of Feng Xiyan’s ears turned red. He coughed lightly, trying to hide his embarrassment.
Sensing his emotions, the Yin Mirror continued, [You and that young lady are indeed fated to be together. Unfortunately, the two of you are from different worlds. To go against the will of Heaven and cross space and time will not be easy.]
Feng Xiyan’s faint smile vanished after listening to what the Yin Mirror said.
Sensing the shift in his emotions, the Yin Mirror pondered for a moment before adding, [Although it is difficult, there is a way.]
At her words, Feng Xiyan’s eyes lit up immediately. "What is it?"
Feng Xiyan waited, but the Yin Mirror remained silent for a long time.
Just as he thought she would not answer his question, the Yin Mirror finally said, [Fulfill your fate, and seek the Gui Clan’s aid.]
When her words fell, the golden glow on the red mark slowly faded away.
Realizing she would not answer further, Feng Xiyan sighed, closed his eyes, and sank into deep thought.
While he pondered the Yin Mirror’s words, the carriage sped through the heavy rain toward the Great General’s mansion.
Forty minutes later, the horse carriage finally stopped in front of the Great General’s mansion.
When the young servant tasked with cleaning the main gate saw the insignia of the Feng Clan on the carriage, he quickly picked up the paper oil umbrella leaning against the wall. Opening it in haste, he hurried toward the carriage.
The moment Feng Xiyan stepped out, the young servant held the umbrella over him and bowed, "Young Master, you are back."
Feng Xiyan noticed that the young servant’s clothes were already soaked from the rain. Without saying anything, he leapt down from the carriage and walked toward the main entrance in a few strides.
Before leaving, he said, "After you finish your work, go to the kitchen and have a bowl of ginger soup."
Hearing this, the servant’s eyes lit up, and he quickly bowed. "Thank you, Young Master."
"Mhm." Feng Xiyan nodded, then took the paper oil umbrella from him, and made his way back to his courtyard.
As he stepped into the courtyard, he saw Bai Hanyun sitting on a stool, quietly watching the rain. The sight made Feng Xiyan unconsciously smile.
Not wanting to disturb the tranquility, he stopped outside the moon gate and gazed at Bai Hanyun for a long time.
Hidden in the shadows, Feng Wu and Yi Bai watched as their master stood under the heavy rain, holding an umbrella and staring at Bai Hanyun.
Seeing that Feng Xiyan had no intention of interrupting Bai Hanyun, Feng Wu kept silent, while Yi Bai pulled out her small notebook and writing brush.
After dipping the tip of the writing brush in ink inside a small bamboo tube, Yi Bai calmly wrote down the scene before her.
"Holding a paper oil umbrella, Master stood in the heavy rain, gazing at Fairy Bai with clear infatuation in his deep eyes. As time slowly slipped by, his expression softened."
She paused, thought for a few seconds, then added, "If Master had one wish, it would be for time to stop in this moment, so he could engrave Fairy Bai’s figure into his soul."
After she finished writing down the last sentence, Yi Bai nodded in satisfaction and muttered, "Once I publish the next volume of Master’s Daily Life, I should earn even more snacks. With his love story added in this volume, my brothers and sisters will go crazy for it."
Pleased with the material she had gathered, Yi Bai turned her attention back to her master and Bai Hanyun, with notebook and writing brush ready to record anything interesting.
Just then, as Bai Hanyun’s gaze shifted from the heavy rain, a deep, lazy voice came from Yi Bai’s side.
"What are you writing?"
The instant Yi Bai heard the male voice, her instincts kicked in. She drew her dagger from her boots and struck at the man squatting beside her without hesitation.
Within three seconds, they had already exchanged more than a dozen moves.
Before Yi Bai could draw her sword, the man caught her wrist and pushed the half-pulled sword back into its scabbard.
Shing~!
Realizing she was no match for this stranger, Yi Bai’s eyes flickered warily.
Seeing her about to speak, Gui Ying tapped her body, sealing her meridians.
Instantly, Yi Bai froze, unable to move or make a sound, glaring at him furiously.
Shaking his head, Gui Ying sighed and said with a hint of helplessness in his voice, "What a short-tempered young lady. This young master only wanted to see what you were doing. Why do you attack this young master all of a sudden?"
When Yi Bai remained silent, Gui Ying lightly tapped her again, unsealing her voice.
"Who are you?" Yi Bai coldly asked the moment she could speak.
Pointing toward Bai Hanyun, Gui Ying lazily replied, "This young master is an acquaintance of Fairy Bai."
After answering Yi Bai’s question, Gui Ying’s gaze fell on Yi Bai’s small notebook lying on the rooftop.
Picking it up, he noticed it was wet and snapped his fingers. In an instant, the water evaporated, leaving the notebook dry.
Not wanting the heavy rain to wet the small notebook again, Gui Ying snapped his fingers and created a barrier around him.
Yi Bai’s eyes flickered in surprise when she saw that the rain was blocked by something invincible around Gui Ying’s body.
’Who is this man?’ she thought as she vigilantly studied Gui Ying.
