Chapter 853: Dance

Chapter 853: Chapter 853: Dance

The elevator Frost and Khione used to travel through the different levels of the ship was restricted to those with at least platinum and gold grade status. For those with silver, bronze and iron grade there was a different lift, larger, less private and far less smooth in its transition but still considered high quality amongst the average Niflheim citizen.

In practically no time at all, the young couple arrived on one of the bottom floors, an area designated for musical entertainment. Such practises could get rather noisy and rowdy thus they were sequestered far away from the peace and tranquillity expected higher up.

Khione led Frost by the hand, dashing passed a few large ballrooms where gallantly dressed men and women danced very formally and with well-trained elegance.

"Ignore that, the hells would freeze over before you see me dancing in such a stiff and dull manner." She loudly scoffed and scrunched her nose, refusing to even pop her head in and check out the scene.

"Really I think you’d look absolutely ravishing, something about that kind of dance style just feels romantic and special don’t you think?" Frost wasn’t as against it as his partner, finding his eyes lingering on a few moves being displayed.

’Sure it’s a bit rigid and free of individual expression but I’m sure that doesn’t apply to all the forms.’ Such thoughts formed after he caught sight of a couple bodacious women dressed in rather revealing attire that focused on showing off their long, thin legs.

"You’re wrong, I look no better than a clumsy ogre when dancing like that."

"Come on it can’t be that bad right?" Frost didn’t believe her for a second. Sure her physique was quite a bit different from the women he saw dancing in those halls but that was part of her charm, a unique strength that set his heart ablaze.

"Trust me even my mother can’t offer me a single compliment when it comes to my ballroom dancing skills. The best she could come up with was ’Well you managed to stay on your feet at least.’ That from a woman who praises practically everything I do to the point of it being overbearing." She was so intense in her denial that she had stop in her tracks and glare at Frost menacingly so as to hide her shame. She wasn’t proud of the fact that she failed at something so spectacularly.

Her intimidating glare, instead of invoking a sense of fear in Frost made him smirk mischievously. This naive woman really had to stop giving him free ammunition, now all he could imagine was her flopping around in a gaudy dress, stepping on her partners toes as she failed to follow the set beat. Such images resulted in his expression warping.

"Wipe that damn smirk off your face before I do it for you." Khione was having none of it, this shame would stay buried, never to see the light of day.

"Ok, ok I’ll stop picturing it....now...now.....now.....ok sorry I really can’t do it, I need to see it." He tried, genuinely tried to erase such thoughts from his mind but ultimately failed in the end.

"Fuck no! Not happening ever, you got that!" This time her voice was laced with aura, and it pressed down on his body showing that she wasn’t kidding around. No matter what even if the hells froze over she would never do ball room dancing ever again. That picture in his head would stay as nothing more than a figment of his imagination.

"Fine." He shook his head and shrugged. "Then why are we here if not to dance?" They had passed more than three ball rooms designated for different forms of dancing, none of which were apparently Khione’s style.

"Oh we are, just not this crap hmph!" She loudly hmphed dismissively, completely rejecting ballroom dancing before dragging Frost to the other side of the floor where the music being played was of a much more energetic beat and the guests instead of quietly moving to the music were loudly singing, jumping, yelling and even screaming in joy. A stark contrast to the earlier halls but no less popular, in fact when it came to pure numbers there were far more here.

The room was expansive, stretching almost 40 metres in each direction. The ceiling was lower than the ballrooms, but the layout was simpler, more open. And instead of towering chandeliers and bright lighting that left nary a shadow on the floor this place was darkened, the lights flashing on and off with a myriad of colours.

The guests present primarily consisted of people Frost and Khione’s age, young adults brimming with life and vigour.

The beat of the music was fast, electric and so loud that it invaded ones heart, making it reverberate and echo within the body.

"This?" Frost was blown away by the sight playing out before him.

"Welcome to a night club Frost, a place for people of our age to unleash our emotions without any threat of censorship and or mocking." Khione was already smiling, and her shoulders were already moving up and down in response to the music. This was her scene, ever since she flopped out of ballroom dancing, and refused to entertain such ancient tunes for a moment longer.

When she was fourteen and already taller than many of her sisters her siblings took her out to a famous night club and she experienced an epiphany.

The music being played spoke to her, it made her feel alive and full of energy. Before she even knew what was happening she was jumping up and down, pumping her fist in and out of the air alongside countless strangers with an ear spanning smile on her lips.

Since then she would occasionally join her elder sisters on their nights out, relishing in the beat, using it to completely erase her trauma with ballroom dancing -a skill that members of royalty were usually required to learn before adulthood, archaic rules/traditions of the nobility.

"A night club?" Frost felt the beat pass through him, and he liked it, his leg tapped against the floor as his heart thumped loudly in response. He scanned the room and saw dozens if not hundreds of guests similar in age to himself singing, jumping and moving in whatever manner they saw fit. Their friends egging them on, praising their unique skills rather than mocking their faults. Open acceptance was the trend.

"Come on let’s dance, I love this song." Khione already feeling the mood dragged Frost through the animated crowd and towards the stage where the band was playing as loud as they possibly could.

"I don’t really know how." Dancing was not something he’d done often and this kind, never.

"Doesn’t matter just do what feels right, let your instincts take over, jump, swing, punch, kick, spin whatever floats your boat. As long as you’re having fun that’s all that matters." Khione was full of support, encouraging Frost to let loose before starting her own style of dance, one that was pretty much all over the place, a downright mess but one that was full of life and excitement. She even started chanting the chorus of the song alongside the other passengers.

She was free spirited and in the zone, but she made damn sure Frost didn’t feel left out of the party, dragging him by the arm, forcing him to dance alongside her.

Frost felt a little out of sorts in the beginning but as Khione gyrated her hips and rubbed against him he started to get into the flow, dancing in an erratic manner dictated by his instincts.

"That’s it Frost shake that thing." Khione wooed as Frost shook his ass to the beat.

"Compared to what you have I’m rather lacking but it’s still fun." His ass was rather pert for a guy but nothing when compared to the gargantuan cheeks Khione possessed. When she shook that thing he swore he could hear them slapping against each other, turning his gaze heated.

’Damn she’s sexy.’ The two of them stayed for a few songs, moved to different beats and grooves with Frost quickly improving his skills as a dancer, he had a skilful teacher and a vast array of examples to learn from after all.

The main feat however was the fact that they had fun and got to move their bodies around, something both of them benefited from given their penchant for activity.

"What next?" Frost asked through rapid breathing, his heartbeat even faster than when he and Khione were about to lock lips.

"Since we’re on the open ocean how about we view what lives within it." Khione suggested, her breathing also quicker than normal, causing her massive chest to rise and fall making Frost struggle to restrain himself.

Now that the arrow had left the bow, he was finding it harder and harder to keep his desires in check. His mind was awash with things he wanted to do to her and to do for her so she could feel the epitome of pleasure.

"How do we do that?" He couldn’t exactly dive into the waters and swim alongside the fish and other marine life.

"Bottom deck, there’s a specialty viewing platform that resides under the water. In it we can see the marine life that inhabits Niflheim’s ocean upfront without the threat of death." Keen to see as much as possible in the limited time Frost was once again led by the hand through the ship’s hallways and down the elevator to the bottommost floor -accessible by guests- where half the walls were completely transparent, allowing guests to see into the silverly water’s depths as if they were looking through a glass window.
