Chapter 856: Knight and damsel (3)

Chapter 856: Chapter 856: Knight and damsel (3)

Frost grabbed hold of the rod handed to him, he could feel a heavy tugging as the ship crashed through the water. Just that alone would have caused anyone with D-rank strength to be pulled from their station and sent flying into the protective barrier.

"Keep a strong grip, the waves alone are part of the battle but make sure not to waste too much before the war." Khione guided him from behind, using her big strong arms to improve his stance and press her chest against his back in support. An action that immediately boosted his strength by at least 30%.

"Un" He nodded his head and leaned back further, spreading the soft enveloping pressure across his entire frame.

"Pervert." Khione chided him and pushed his head forward subtly telling him to keep his focus on the fishing rod not her....an almost impossible task given how strong her allure was.

"That’s 100% true and I have no intentions to change my big, beautiful knight." Frost chuckled and arched his back, increasing their bodily contact. He even lightly hummed in pleasure, greatly enjoying the feeling of having Khione’s huge breasts pressed against his back while her strong forearms brushed up against his own....so comfortable.

Khione was embarrassed, she rapidly turned head from side to side to see if anyone was watching but thanks to her earlier display each and every one of them were either keeping their heads down or purposefully doing their best to look in the other direction. Thankfully no one saw but she was still a little miffed.

’Who was the one that asked to tone down the flirting? Damn hypocrite.’ She didn’t say a word in response to this damn pervert, instead she drew her arms tighter together, letting this bastard feel everything and then some.

Initially it was blissful but soon came the pain, pain that continued to increase and increase until the pleasure was completely erased.

"Crk crk." Frost’s body groaned in protest his bones creaking under the pressure, threatening to snap with just a little more force.

"Still enjoying it you pervert?"

"....A little." At least the beginning and middle stages were nice, a little pain wasn’t so bad now and then but now it was so intense that he couldn’t even feel any softness, just unmoving iron....those muscles of hers were no joke.

"Haaaa you’re impossible...." Khione felt like she was up against a brick wall, convinced that Frost would only submit after being thoroughly broken and even then he might still remain stubborn. She released him from her iron grip after seeing that his stance was correct and picked up her own rod.

"Keep your guard up, it only takes a moment for a bite to take hold." She gave one last bit of advice before focusing on her own line.

"Yes teacher hehehe." Frost had his fun, some pain still lingered but it was more than worth it.

’I didn’t know they could get that big and that dense.’ His mind lingered on the sensation, keen to dive right back in.

Fishing was not a very active sport at least for the majority of the time, it was a game of patience.

Frost sat on his chair with rod in hand, his eyes peeled and focus for even the slightest sign of movement that wasn’t caused by either him or the waves, but nothing seemed to be biting.

Beside him he saw more than a few fishermen get a bite despite not being more than a few metres away from his own position. Their muscles tensed and bulged to the point that their clothes seemed to be on the brink of tearing.

Some remained seated but others had to stand and use their whole body weight as well as a few support systems just to hold on. This was a war, a violent struggle between humanoids and giant sea monsters. The tension around them was palpable and a common accord was shared between all fishers never to distract one another when the prey was biting.

Just from the expression on their faces and the sweat dripping down their necks Frost could tell it was an extreme battle, one he even somewhat feared, anxious that he’d make an utter fool of himself just like what the staff member thought would happen.

Khione was sitting by his side with her own rod in the water, but she too didn’t seem to be catching anything. She repeatedly recast her line, clicked her tongue and shifted in her seat and unbeknownst to Frost was purposefully lowering her chances to catch anything just so she could be ready to help him out when the time came.

After 15 minutes of inaction and spirits being dampened by the more lucky ones Frost finally felt a slight tug. His body reacted instantly, his muscles tightening until they became like wrought iron and it was a good thing he did because in the next second he felt a weight that could only be described as a mountain. A force ripped him from his station, nearly breaking his wrist because of his stubbornness in holding on.

Support systems activated a beat later, chains conjured by magic wrapped themselves around his waist, pulling him back towards his assigned station while the gravity around him multiplied to give him better traction.

The support systems helped keep his feet on the ground and slow the pull that was dragging him towards the ocean, but it didn’t reduced the level of force he was holding onto. That mountain wriggled, bent, pulled and thrashed in protest, determined to not only get the bait on the end of the line but drag the fisher down into its domain for an added bite.

"Shit Frost what the hell did you catch!" Khione reacted quickly, pulling back her line and dashing to his side to help him pull.

"Not yet Khione I still got this." He wasn’t afraid to rely on his woman when the situation called for it, but he also wasn’t one to give up without putting up a fight. He waved her off before planting his feet firmly on the deck and using not just his physical prowess to pull up the rod and reel in the line but also his aura to give him an extra boost. His chakra even leaked out, forming armour around his body to give him greater weight and stability. He was willing to go all out against this mysterious fish.

’You better be something spectacular otherwise you’re gonna wish you never crossed paths the one and only Frost.’ He donned his battle hat and fought with his life on the line.

A battle between titans, sweat flying across the deck, stomping of feet, grunts of exertion, a smile like a wild barbarian and a presence that forced everyone in the vicinity to stop what they were doing and look in his direction. At this moment, despite his weak strength Frost had earned their respect as fisherman, he wasn’t half assing the battle nor was he immediately relying on his stronger partner like a pathetic beta or useless rich boy....he was a warrior.

Unfortunately despite his efforts Frost was still losing, every metre of the line he managed to reign in the closer he got to the soft barrier that would prevent him from falling into the ocean. The rules were that if he couldn’t reign in his prey before he hit the safety barrier he had to release his catch.

He was just short of the endline, and knew deep down that he couldn’t reign this sucker in. He turned his head toward his beautiful protector and gave her a signal with his eyes; he had reached his limit and needed her help.

Annoyingly however Khione acted dumb, like she never saw his signal, even to the point that she casually whistled.

’Mischievous vixen.’ He knew instantly what she wanted to hear.

"Khione can you please help me out, I’m not strong enough to do it alone." He felt his skin cringe as the words left his mouth, he wasn’t all that fond of being weak after all.

"No problem what good’s a knight that can’t save their damsel when they’re in distress." A naughty smile donned Khione’s lips as she sauntered over to her date and placed a single hand on his rod and pulled with such extreme force that the beast he was wrestling with was wrenched out of the water without warning, the look on its gnarly scaled covered face one of shock.

It’s opponent was losing momentum, the delicious bait almost ripe for the taking, the battle, moments from being won, what the hell happened? Where did such strength come from? Was its opponent merely playing around or did someone else interfere. The massive monster that spanned almost thirty metres and was covered in sharp, poison tipped spines felt a degree of fear in it heart. Something that could tear it out from the ocean’s depths with such force and swiftness was not something it could beat.

Desperate to flee and return to the safety of the ocean’s depths the massive sea monster even tried to remove the barb lodged in its gums by tearing it out forcefully, pain and delectable food be damned, its life mattered more.

"Oh hell no! Now that I’ve gotten involved we’re finishing this thing." Khione bellowed before placing both hands on Frost’s rod and swinging upwards with so much force that the protected deck creaked under the strain, such was the strength of woman who had half a step into the S-rank.
