Chapter 857: Chapter 263: The Little Devil’s Temptation

“Thank you for bringing me over, David.” Little Emma said cheerfully as she got out of the car once it was steady at the hotel entrance.

“It’s my pleasure to serve you, Miss Watson.” The driver, nearing his fifties, replied politely.

This driver and the Fiat were specifically arranged by Adrian for Little Emma. He was very familiar with all the streets and alleys of London, making it suitable for Little Emma to travel discreetly. As long as she wasn’t making a big fuss, she generally wouldn’t be caught by the paparazzi.

After entering the hotel elevator, taking advantage of no one being around, Little Emma adjusted her clothes in the reflection of the elevator door. Thinking about the surprised look that might appear on Adrian’s face, she couldn’t help feeling a bit proud. Little Emma ultimately didn’t call Adrian; she wanted to give him a surprise. As for the possibility of him not being in the room, since contact is easy now, a phone call would suffice. Would it be troublesome? She couldn’t care less.

However, when she arrived at the suite door, after pressing the doorbell three or four times, it finally opened and Little Emma’s expression turned sour because Adrian appeared at the door wearing only long pants and a shirt, which looked rather disheveled. A closer look even revealed faint kiss marks near his neck.

“Emma?” Adrian’s expression turned peculiar as well, then he instinctively looked to the side. From this perspective, Little Emma’s “surprise” indeed served its purpose.

“Who’s here, Ed?” A woman’s voice came over, confirming Little Emma’s unwelcome suspicion, making her expression even worse.

Two arms reached over from the side and wrapped around Adrian’s neck, followed by a rather pretty blushing face from moments of intimacy appearing at his shoulder. Upon seeing Little Emma, she quickly exclaimed, released Adrian, and hid behind the door. Although Adrian blocked most of her, Little Emma could still tell the woman was only wearing a shirt and underwear, confirming what they had been doing before.

“Put your clothes on, Louise.” Adrian said quietly and then pulled a smile towards Little Emma, “Hi, Emma. What’s up?”

“Wanted to come over and see you, and ask a few questions.” Little Emma said grumpily, not hiding her displeased expression at all.

“Alright, come in then.” Adrian glanced to the side and then ushered her into the room.

“No wonder you haven’t seen me these couple of days.” The young girl muttered softly. Once Louise changed her clothes and came out from the inner room, Little Emma immediately switched to a smiling face, feigning curiosity as she observed her.

“Let me introduce you, Louise, this is Emma, Emma Watson. Emma, this is Louise, Louise Bourgoin.” After saying this, Adrian fell silent, scratching his head and seemingly unsure of where to start.

The two, big and small, just stared at each other. After a while, Little Emma awkwardly cleared her throat, proactively extending her hand, “Hello, Louise.”

“Hello, Emma.” Louise replied, shaking hands with Emma whose expression was full of puzzlement, then both glanced back at Adrian; what kind of introduction was this?

“Okay, um, you should know Emma, right, Louise?” Adrian first posed the question to Louise.

“Of course, I know the famous know-it-all Hermione Granger. I love the Harry Potter series whether in books or movies, that’s why I auditioned for this role.” Louise said excitedly.

Adrian chuckled and turned to explain to Little Emma, “Louise is about to play Fleur Delacour in the upcoming ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.’ The production spent quite a lot of time confirming her for the role.”

“Is that so? Congratulations, Louise.” Little Emma graciously shook her hand again, “Looking forward to acting alongside you in the movie.”

“As for Emma and me, it’s quite a long story.” Seeing Louise’s lingering confusion, Adrian added.

“Oh, come on, Ed, you always say stuff like that, leaving people in suspense and being all mysterious. This time, let me tell it.” Little Emma unceremoniously shot him a side-eye and quickly began recounting the story between them to Louise.

She spoke quickly, not getting bogged down in trivial details, but hit a few key points, like the car accident long ago, his care for her, and meeting Rowling, among others.

“I never expected such unfortunate events, meeting Ed was a stroke of luck.” Louise was easily moved to sympathy, her gaze towards Adrian drastically shifted. Adrian merely sighed, pretending not to see the mischievous gleam in Little Emma’s concealed smile.

“I came by today to consult Ed on a matter. Because I wanted to surprise him, I didn’t call ahead; I didn’t expect you to be here; hope I haven’t disturbed you.” Little Emma stuck out her tongue, feigning exaggeration as she stood up, “Since you still have things to do, I’ll come back tomorrow.”

“Oh, it’s alright, I was just about to leave,” Louise cheerfully vacated the spot, “Although I’ve enjoyed spending time with Ed, I’m heading back to France this afternoon, so you don’t need to leave.”

With that said, she stood up, slightly tipping her toes to kiss Adrian: “Sorry, Ed, I’ll head out first.”

“Let me escort you.” Adrian didn’t ask her to stay.

“No need, I can manage just fine on my own; you stay with Emma.” Louise gave a sweet grin. She didn’t have much to pack, and she was already properly dressed, ready to leave anytime.

Adrian accompanied her to the door: “I’ve arranged for someone to take you back; remember what I told you, Louise.”

“I remember, to be more alluring,” Louise coyly swayed her hips in front of him, exuding the boldness of a French woman, “I promise to do that next time we meet.”

With that, she kissed Adrian again before leaving the room. Adrian let out a sigh, turned around back to Little Emma who was staring at him, and spread his hands: “Are you satisfied now?”

“What’s the matter?” Little Emma feigned a clueless look, “Did I do something wrong?”

“Emma!” Adrian emphasized seriously.

“Alright, alright,” the girl stuck out her tongue and waved her hand, “I’m helping you, Ed, didn’t you notice? After I finished telling our story, her eyes towards you changed quite a lot.”

“Let’s not talk about that,” Adrian raised his hand and then sat down next to her, “Why are you in such a hurry to come see me?”

“Can’t I come see you without a reason?” Little Emma immediately retorted, folding her arms, leaning her body forward while tilting her head back, half-squinting her eyes, displaying some dissatisfaction. Familiar with her, Adrian knew she was making a fuss over nothing again.

“Of course not,” Adrian looked at her exasperatedly, “Since you came so urgently without even a phone call, I naturally assumed you had an urgent matter.”

“I told you, seeing you hadn’t come by for two days, so I wanted to surprise you.” Little Emma shrugged, slightly pouting, “Of course, if I knew you had other women around, I definitely wouldn’t have done so.”

“Oh?” Adrian raised an eyebrow, intrigued as he pinched her chin, pulling her face closer to his, “Who said they didn’t care back then?”

Little Emma furrowed her brows, remaining silent but raising her chin, just staring at him. Adrian laughed, also saying nothing, leaned down and captured her lips, and began kissing her. The young girl closed her eyes, following his rhythm while gently humming. They kissed like this, not too passionately but deeply, and separated only after a lingering moment.

“Satisfied?” Pressing against the girl’s forehead, Adrian chuckled softly.

“Not bad,” Little Emma said earnestly, smacking her lips before puckering again, “How about another round?”

“No way.” Adrian straightened up immediately.

“So stingy, not willing to give even one more kiss.” Little Emma hummed, turning her head away, seemingly very dissatisfied.

“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking, Emma, you promised me.” Adrian gently pinched her tender cheek.

“Fine, fine, I got it,” the girl said unhappily, “I’m not even worried about this, why are you so afraid.”

Then, without waiting for Adrian to speak, she quickly changed the topic: “By the way, what does Louise mean by saying she needs to be more alluring and sexy before she left?”

“A little guidance about acting,” Adrian was glad she didn’t mention that, “As I’ve said before, Louise is going to play Fleur Delacour, a Beauxbatons’ Triwizard Tournament contestant in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.’ You know Fleur has half-Veela heritage, so she’s very enticing. Louise is cute, and quite pretty, but lacks in seductive allure, so I asked her to practice more in this aspect.”

“And also to please you.” Little Emma mumbled.

“What?” Adrian couldn’t hear clearly.

“Nothing, I was saying…” The girl was about to change the topic but suddenly froze at the thought of something, a shallow smile appeared at the corner of her mouth, then grew more and more proud.

“Wow, wow, look, what cunning idea did you come up with now?” Noticing this, Adrian exclaimed exaggeratedly.

“Cunning idea? I don’t have one!” Little Emma laughed dismissively, bouncing up from the sofa and hurriedly preparing to leave: “I’m going back, Ed, I’ve got things to do.”

Saying the last sentence, a blush inadvertently crossed her little cheeks, but she quickly adjusted: “I’ll come over again tomorrow afternoon, remember to make time for me, Ed, and during this time, you can’t hang out with other women.”

“Not even Innie?” Feeling strange, Adrian asked half-jokingly.

“You figure it out yourself.” Little Emma huffed, turned, and left the suite in a blaze of anger.

Came to the hotel silently, found a loophole and quickly dismissed Louise, but after exchanging barely a few words, she ran away again, really frustrating. Despite this, Adrian could only sigh about the matter; he knew Little Emma was definitely planning something, but so what? So, apart from making a call to inquire the girl a little later, he spent the rest of the time dealing with work.

For example, learning through the internet about the post-production progress of ‘Walk the Line’ and ‘Brokeback Mountain,’ analyzing the situation based on the information compiled by Ivanka, considering what the Harry Potter series crew should do next, and asking his secretary assistant to politely turn down some invitations. Since he promised Little Emma to make time for her, he couldn’t break his word, of course. Also, Ivanka wasn’t brought to bed that night.

This situation lasted until the next afternoon when the girl arrived as promised.

“Hi, Innie, good afternoon.” Little Emma appeared in the suite with a backpack and a baseball cap, and first greeted Ivanka.

“Hi, Emma, is there anything you need?” Ivanka, who just reported some of ABC’s second-quarter data to Adrian, was somewhat surprised.

“Yes, I have a date with Ed, I need to discuss something with him.” Little Emma said with a cheeky smile.

Ivanka smiled and casually asked, “Do you need me to step out?”

“That would be great if you could.” The girl nodded vigorously without any courtesy, causing the female secretary to be a bit flustered until Adrian coughed, indicating he needed to be alone with Little Emma for a while; then she left with curiosity and some hesitance.

“Why in such a hurry?” Adrian looked at her with a mix of helplessness.

“I prepared and practiced for a night, of course, I hope to perform it as soon as possible.” Little Emma justified herself while slipping into the inner room, but quickly poked her head out: “No peeking!”

After saying that, she closed the door with a bang.

A real headache of a girl. Adrian sighed inwardly, tidying up the table. What exactly did she want to show him? The answer was soon clear, as the door to the inner room opened, and when Little Emma came out, even Adrian couldn’t help but take a breath.

Her long golden-brown hair fell softly, she wore a gray long-sleeved sweater with a white shirt inside sporting a yellow and red striped tie, underneath was a slightly darker gray pleated skirt and black low-heeled shoes, plus a black cloak with a red edge, identical to the Gryffindor students’ attire from the Harry Potter series.

The only difference was that in the first two films, due to considering child audience acceptance, the skirt was paired with gray woolen socks reaching the calves, but by the third film, the style began to transition towards adulthood, thus the related clothing also underwent modifications. In the upcoming ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,’ the gray woolen socks reaching the calves became thigh-high black stockings, undoubtedly adding a few more touches of allure, for instance, Little Emma in front.

However, this wasn’t the primary reason for Adrian’s deep breath, aside from this outfit, Little Emma was also holding a thick book in front of her chest, making a timid face, looking at him with a fearful and anxious gaze. Even knowing she was performing, even with Adrian’s rich experience, he inevitably felt a stirring sensation.

“S-sorry, Professor… I… I didn’t mean to…” Little Emma timidly started, her eyes turning red, seemingly about to cry, “Please… Please… don’t tell Headmaster Dumbledore… Please… don’t expel me…”

The voice tinged with sobs and the upset yet fearful expression combined to make her appear particularly fragile and helpless, like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, causing Adrian to swallow involuntarily.

“Why so careless, Miss Granger? Don’t you know how badly this could affect Hogwarts?” Adrian sighed, speaking softly but with an authoritative tone, portraying a perfect predator playing with his caught prey. Since Little Emma enjoyed this game, then he would accompany her in it.

“I… I don’t know… I don’t know why this happened…” Little Emma’s eyes reddened more, clutching the book tightly to her chest, looking like she was driven to a desperate situation.

“That’s not something a know-it-all would say,” Adrian chuckled lightly with a sense of superiority, “As one of the most famous girls at Hogwarts, this is not a mistake you would make. Yet, it happens to be a fact, an Unforgivable fact, neither your Savior friend nor Headmaster Dumbledore can change it! So I’m sorry.”

“No, no, Professor,” Little Emma cried out, the book in her arms fell to the floor with a thud, panicked and terrified gaze not at all like an act, “Please, Professor, as long as you don’t tell anyone, then… then no one will know… and… and…”

“Ha, Miss Granger, who always follows the rules, also says such things?” Adrian sneered, increasingly believing he had the potential to play a big bad guy.

“Please, Professor,” Little Emma sobbed, “As long as… as long as… whatever price I have to pay will be fine…”

“Oh?” Adrian deliberately elongated the sound, sizing up the girl.

Little Emma immediately blushed, it was unclear how she managed it, biting her lip, her body slightly trembling, then extended her hands to grip her skirt.

Despite this, he took another deep breath, pretending to say: “That’s not alright, Miss Granger, you’re too young, and could easily cause undesirable consequences, let’s leave it at that.”
