Chapter 350: Episode 33.1 Yanyan’s Love

As it turned out, Bai Tingfeng was more shaken than he let on after Shen Yuan swallowed his baby batter. By the next morning, he had already decided—they were going to see a doctor that very day.

The alpha rose unusually early, dragged Shen Yuan out of bed to get ready, and even lent a hand with breakfast prep. Well... "lent a hand" might be generous. Shen Yuan still did all the cooking, while Bai Tingfeng only managed to wash the rice, crack the eggs, and set bacon on a plate.

Pretty useless, sure—but as the saying goes, it’s the thought that counts.

Besides, Shen Yuan seemed to have woken up on the right side of the bed. He was humming while stirring the pan, and Bai Tingfeng wasn’t about to ruin his pregnant husband’s good mood by adorably messing up their breakfast.

"Wake our son up," Shen Yuan said, turning off the stove.

Bai Tingfeng didn’t need to be told twice. He bounded upstairs and fetched their son from his room.

Unfortunately, while Shen Yuan’s mood had brightened, little Yanyan greeted the morning with a tiny, adorable scowl plastered across his face.

"Looks like someone woke up cranky. What happened?" Shen Yuan asked, glancing between his husband and son.

Too bad Bai Tingfeng had no clue either. He only shrugged as he set Yanyan in his chair. "I walked into his room and saw a wall of pillows separating him and his panda. Maybe..."

Bai Tingfeng let the word trail, but Shen Yuan already pieced it together. His boy and his panda were having a spat. As ridiculous as that sounded, it was the only explanation for Yanyan’s sour mood.

The little boy confirmed it the next moment, his tiny mouth firing off like a cannon.

"Daddy! Yangyang is being bad! I asked him to keep you company when I go to school, but he just grunted and shook his head! He doesn’t like you—even though you bathe him and keep him bug-free!" Yanyan’s face scrunched in righteous indignation. "I don’t like anyone who doesn’t like my Daddy and Papa! That’s why we’re on a break now!"

With his arms crossed and his pink lips jutting out in an exaggerated pout, Yanyan looked like the very picture of five-year-old fury. Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng exchanged a look before breaking into quiet laughter.

"Okay, okay, calm down, little man," Shen Yuan soothed, patting Yanyan’s head. "But tell me—how sure are you that your panda hates me? Did he actually spell it out for you: ’I hate Shen Yuan’?"

"Daddy!" Yanyan sulked, puffing his cheeks when he realized his dad was making fun of him.

That only encouraged the celestial fox spirit further. Shen Yuan smirked mischievously and poked at his son’s dumpling cheeks. "Oh? My baby is standing up for me? Not bad at all! This old man is touched."

"But Daddy, you’re not that old!" Yanyan grumbled in protest.

Bai Tingfeng stepped in, his tone gentle but matter-of-fact. "Your Daddy’s the one who takes care of Yangyang. There’s no way the panda hates him. If anything, Yangyang is more scared of your Daddy than angry."

A celestial fox spirit compared to a mutated panda—basically a god facing a mortal. It was no wonder the poor creature felt uneasy around Shen Yuan.

"Your Daddy’s strength and presence are just too overwhelming. It triggers Yangyang’s instinct to run away."

"Is that so?" Yanyan asked innocently.

This time, Shen Yuan stopped teasing his son and answered seriously. "Yes. Plus, you know my mood hasn’t been the best these past few days, right? Your panda must’ve sensed the threat I was giving off; that’s why it didn’t want to stay near me."

Yanyan looked down, deep in thought.

"Make up with your pet, Yanyan. You’ll regret it later if you keep holding bad feelings toward your friends," Bai Tingfeng said wisely.

"We don’t hold on to anger, son—we act on it," Shen Yuan chimed in. The words sounded villainous, earning him a sharp side-eye from his husband, but he pressed on anyway. "We either take revenge or forgive them if they deserve it. In your case, it’s best if you and Yangyang both forgive each other and make up."

Bai Tingfeng sighed, rubbing his temple, then nodded. The revenge part was a bit much for a five-year-old, but Shen Yuan wasn’t exactly wrong.

Yanyan seemed to have decided. He hopped off his chair and dashed away.

The two parents exchanged knowing glances. They didn’t even need to guess where their son was going.

"Yanyan!" Bai Tingfeng called after him, his voice booming from the dining room to the second floor. "Don’t take too long! You still need to eat breakfast if you want to come with us to your Daddy’s first doctor’s appointment!"

"Okay, Papa!" Yanyan’s cheerful chirp came back in reply.

Shen Yuan slowly turned his gaze to his husband. "You really think it’s a good idea to ask the doctor if pregnant omegas can swallow cum—while our son is sitting right next to us?"

To drive the point home, he reached for a fried hot dog and took a slow bite, never breaking eye contact.

Bai Tingfeng flushed scarlet. He had, in fact, messed up.

Regardless of Bai Tingfeng’s blunder, two hours later, the family of three left the house together.

It is already too late for Bai Tingfeng to convince his son to stay at home. When he told Yanyan that he could stay home to bond with his panda, the little boy only politely declined while his eyes were shining. "I will go with Daddy! He might need me for emotional support!"

Needless to say, Bai Tingfeng was floored. What do five-year-olds know about emotional support?

In the end, Shen Yuan decided to take Yanyan with them.

"Couples usually schedule their first prenatal check-up around six to seven weeks, just to make sure we can hear the baby’s heartbeat. Do you have any concerns, Master Bai, Master Shen?"

Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng glanced at each other. They both had plenty of concerns, but now that the question was asked, all of them suddenly felt... embarrassingly small. Each waited for the other to speak first.

"...Okay..." the doctor said awkwardly when neither responded.

Thankfully, someone stepped up—not the parents, but the little boy they’d brought along for moral support.

"My Daddy always wakes up feeling sick these days. Sometimes he runs straight to the toilet to throw up. I always hear him going, ’Urk! Uwak! Ak! Ak!’" Yanyan reenacted with dramatic flair. "And most of the time Daddy’s in a bad mood. His eyebrows crash into each other whenever Big Brother Jinpeng shows up. Daddy never hated Brother Jinpeng before—he’s his loyal dog! But now, Daddy looks at him like he’s one of the bad guys he’s supposed to catch!"

Shen Yuan’s face went beet red. Oh heavens. Hearing his son recite his "symptoms" like that made him realize just how awful he’d been these past few days. He feels shy because all this time, he thought he was doing a good job portraying a tough mama who is unbothered by his warring hormones.

"Baby, thanks for saying that," he said, hoping his son would stop there.

Too bad—Yanyan was just getting started. "Plus! Daddy hates being the bad guy. He always frowns whenever he snaps at someone when he’s in a bad mood. That’s why we need Mister Doctor to fix it for us!"

"Okay!" Shen Yuan quickly clamped a hand over his son’s mouth. Seriously? If he let the boy keep talking, everyone would think he was some moody tsundere! He was a kuudere—calm, collected, cool as a cucumber!

"There’s nothing to be ashamed of, Master Shen," the doctor said kindly. "Pregnancy in male omegas is one of the most unpredictable. Beyond the chaotic hormones, your body is transforming to accommodate the new life growing inside you."

He continued, "Your womb, dormant for years, is now swelling and becoming tender as it resumes its original function. Your chest gradually develops as the glands begin producing milk. And that’s only part of it—male omegas undergo even more changes, but if I list them all, we’d be here for hours."

The doctor leaned forward. "My point is: Master Shen’s pregnancy is bound to be intense, and your A-class physique won’t shield you from it. No medicine or therapy can erase those symptoms."

Finally, he turned to Yanyan. "The best thing we can do now is a thorough checkup, to make sure your daddy and your baby sibling are both in good health."

"We will test your blood and pheromones to make sure that you and your baby are developing normally." The doctor said to Shen Yuan. "And since you are already here, we will also do a deep check, see if your awakened powers impact your pregnancy. It will be a long, arduous test. I ask for your patience, Master Shen."

"If it’s for the baby, I don’t mind," Shen Yuan answered, a true kuudere.

Everyone thought that everything was settled. That is, until Bai Tingfeng suddenly covered Yanyan’s ears with his humongous palms and asked the doctor. "I am sorry for this out-of-pocket question. But will it impact the baby if his mother eats something he is not supposed to swallow?"

"Fucking Bai Tingfeng. Seriously?" At this moment, Shen Yuan is looking at his beloved as if he had grown an extra pair of heads.
