Chapter 202: Chapter 202 Training
"WHAT??" Drake’s jaw dropped as his little chubby body started shaking. He hugged his notebook tighter and crouched down on his chair
"T-t-teacher, SAVE MEEE!!" His amber eyes were wide, sparkling with pure terror as if Dante might swallow him whole on the spot.
The whole classroom erupted.
"Boo, stop saying such things!" Luna growled, smacking the desk with her little hand. "Principal won’t eat anyone, especially not that noisy dragon!"
"Yes yes, he doesn’t eat babies," Felix said earnestly, though his ear twitched nervously.
"Maybe..." Vlad Jr. muttered., leaning back with his arms crossed. His lips curved in a smug line. "Maybe he’ll only eat Drake."
"VLAD JR.!!!" Drake shouted, almost in tears. "Why only me?? I didn’t do anything!"
Kelpie splashed a little water droplet on Drake’s wing and whispered, "Because you’re the tastiest and fatest one..."
"NOOOOO!!!" Drake howled dramatically, flopping flat on his desk as if he had already been eaten alive.
Dante’s cold eyes swept across the room. He said nothing, but the faint twitch of his lips made it look as though he was secretly amused. His sharp aura filled the classroom, and the children went quiet one by one except Boo, who still clung to his desk upside down, whispering loudly enough for everyone to hear:
"Evil principal... so scary... Boo will protect teacher from him..."
Alina sighed, pressing her palm against her forehead, though her lips curved with helpless laughter. "Boo, Drake—enough drama. Principal is not here to eat anyone. He’s here to tell us about the trip."
The room instantly changed. The word trip lit up their eyes like fireflies, and the shivering dragon perked up, already forgetting his fear.
"Trip??" Drake gasped, his eyes turning into golden stars. "Principal, where are we going?? Can you pack extra snacks just for me?? Pleaaase??" His little hands clutched the edge of his desk, wings twitching in excitement. His earlier terror was already long forgotten.
Dante gave a slow nod.
Drake let out the loudest cheer, bouncing in his seat. "YAYYYY!! We will love the trip!! I already asked Mom and Dad for permission!!!!!!! They said yes!!" His voice rang through the classroom like a trumpet.
Alina couldn’t help laughing softly, her heart warm as she watched them bubbling with joy. Their little faces glowed with excitement, their voices overlapping as if the walls themselves were buzzing.
"Oh no..." Vlad Jr. suddenly froze, his princely face losing its calm composure. "I forgot to ask!" His eyes widened, and he turned to Alina with panic. "Teacher, what if my parents don’t let me go???"
"Don’t worry," Alina said quickly, clapping her hands to calm the wave of chatter. Her smile was gentle as she looked around at each of them. "We are going on the trip next week. You all have plenty of time to ask your parents and prepare."
The room erupted again in squeals and cheers.
Luna practically bounced in her seat, her little fists clenched in excitement. But then—splash! Kelpie, in his excitement, lost control of his water and droplets sprayed right onto her back.
"Dmmm!!!" Luna’s eyes flared, and she let out a low growl, her ears twitching as she glared at him with the full fury of a wolf pup.
Before chaos could break out, Dante’s voice cut through the noise like steel.
"Silence."
The single word was enough. All the children froze mid-movement, even Boo’s floating body dropped slightly like a balloon losing air. The weight of his presence filled the room, cold and commanding, and every baby instantly straightened up, sitting stiffly on their chairs.
Alina pressed her lips together to hide a laugh at their terrified faces, but her eyes softened when she noticed Lucien.
Lucien wasn’t afraid. He was smiling, his little hands folded neatly on his lap as he looked directly at his father. And when Dante’s red eyes shifted toward him, Lucien’s smile grew wider. Dante blinked once but the small gesture made Lucien’s entire face light up with happiness.
Alina caught her breath at the quiet moment between father and son.
"Only Class D will be going on the trip," Dante announced, his deep voice filling the room like thunder rolling across the sky. His crimson eyes swept over the children, and instantly every baby straightened in their seat, sitting tall like little soldiers lined in a row. "The other classes will remain behind for elemental training."
The words made Class D’s babies exchange excited looks—they were special.
"On this trip," Dante continued, his tone calm yet commanding, "we will all have fun. But remember, you will also focus on your elements. This is not just play—it is training as well."
There was a pause. Then—
"Booooring," Drake muttered with a grin, sticking his tongue out as his wings twitched behind him. He wiggled in his seat, earning a few giggles from Felix and Boo.
Alina pressed her lips together tightly, fighting the urge to laugh. She cleared her throat. "Drake!" she said in her teacher voice, raising her brows.
Drake quickly sat up, his eyes big and innocent. "I mean... yay training!!!" he said with fake enthusiasm, clapping his chubby hands together.
Boo spun upside down in the air, whispering loudly, "Teacher, I think Drake will only train in eating snacks."
The class erupted into soft giggles until Dante’s gaze turned toward Boo. The little ghost instantly floated upright, zipping back to his desk. "Boo is very serious about training," he muttered under his breath, nodding furiously.
Dante’s lips twitched ever so slightly, but his expression remained unreadable as his eyes swept back to the room.
Once Dante left, Alina walked to the door and politely saw him off, her smile lingering until he disappeared down the corridor. When she turned back into the room, however, her warm expression changed into one of mock sternness. She placed her hands on her hips as she faced the little ones.
"You trouble-making, mischievous babies!" she scolded lightly, though her voice was laced with affection. "Can’t you behave properly in front of the principal? Just once?"
Every pair of tiny eyes blinked back at her, wide and guilty. Boo shrank a little into his chair, and Drake fidgeted nervously, scratching at his fluffy hair before awkwardly folding his arms around his wings like he was trying to hide them.
"Teacher, you’re scolding us!!!" Drake cried, his lower lip trembling in the most dramatic pout he could manage.
