Chapter 194: Chapter 194 Elements stabilizing power
When it was finally time to leave, the playroom that had been filled with laughter slowly grew quiet, replaced by little pouts and soft sighs. None of the babies wanted to go. To them it had been a small paradise—bright toys scattered about, cozy beds that still smelled of warmth, secret corners perfect for hiding, and so much joy packed into one room. Even Lucien, usually so calm and composed, lingered as if he too wished to stay. He hugged the small gift bag Alina had given him close to his chest, his crimson eyes shining with happiness yet touched with longing, as though he hoped the day might last just a little longer.
Alina crouched down, smiling softly at them. "We’ll come again, don’t worry. But now it’s time to go home."
Boo floated dramatically, upside down, and moaned, "Boooo will never forget this day!! The playroom is now my second kingdom!" He pretended to faint, which made Drake snicker even through his own pout.
One by one, the little ones lined up before Dante, who raised his hand and summoned the swirling portal. The shimmering light reflected in their wide eyes, and though they were sad, the thought of jumping through the magic gate still made them squeal in excitement. "Yaaay!!" Drake shouted as he dove in first, his wings flapping. Luna followed with a proud wolfy leap, while Vlad Jr. entered with calm elegance, pretending he wasn’t secretly thrilled.
Rocky hesitated until Kelpie tugged him along, both vanishing into the light together. Felix shifted to fox form, wagged his tails, and dashed through, while Boo spun like a comet yelling, "Banana kingdom awaits!!!" before disappearing inside.
Finally, Alina followed behind, the swirl of energy tugging at her, making her dizzy until she felt Dante’s firm hand catch her for the brief moment she stumbled. Her heart skipped, but she quickly steadied herself as they landed back at the kindergarten gates.
After all the babies left, she quietly walked back to her little home. The house felt still, almost too quiet after all the laughter and noise of the day, but she was tired and soon drifted into sleep.
The next day came softly.
Alina went to staffroom early in morning and said good morning to everyone, she was happy too see Miss Kelly and professor Hobb wasn’t scowling at her anymore and even gave little smile.
Later someone came and told her that principal was calling her in his office.
"Good morning sir," she said as she entered after permission, though she couldn’t help but think about that painting she had seen yesterday.
"Morning," Dante answered, his lips curving into the faintest smile. Alina was already used to how dazzling that smile could be. His gaze lingered on her face longer than usual before he finally moved it away.
God, he had seen countless beautiful women—queens, witches, sirens, demonesses. None of them should compare to this human teacher. And yet there was something about her glow that only grew brighter with each day. Her warmth and gentle aura wrapped around him like sunlight, making him want to linger too long.
"Sir, you called me here?" Alina asked softly, pulling him back to the moment.
"Yes. About the trip. I’ve found some places," Dante said with a quiet smile, and her hazel eyes lit up.
"Really, sir?" she asked, leaning forward with excitement—then suddenly gasped as something like a screen appeared in mid-air, its border glowing with dazzling light.
Dante didn’t even flinch. With a flick of his hand, he revealed the first location—a vast island surrounded by turquoise waters. The sight dazzled Alina, her eyes wide in wonder. Then the image shifted to a lush forest, thick with emerald trees and curling mist, both beautiful and intimidating.
"Sir... isn’t this too much?" she asked, flustered. She had only imagined something simple, like a park or garden. These looked like places from another world.
"Not too much," Dante replied, a deep chuckle leaving his chest as he stepped closer towards her. His aura brushed over her like a shadowy tide, making her spine tingle. "These places are filled with elements—earth, air, water, fire. When children play there, their bodies soak in that balance. Their strength stabilizes. Their powers grow sharper." His eyes glinted with that dangerous, magnetic light.
Alina stared at the glowing screen, her lips parting slightly. "Elements... stabilizing power?" she whispered, trying to piece it together.
"Yes." His voice softened but stayed firm, his crimson eyes holding hers. "Supernatural children are fragile and wild. If their power isn’t balanced early, it can either destroy them... or corrupt them. Trips like these aren’t a luxury, Miss Alina. They are necessary."
"Alright... sir, I understand." Alina nodded her head slowly, taking in everything he had just explained. "Though we’ll need permission from their guardians, and to arrange everything carefully. The trip would just be one day, right?"
"Hmm." Dante leaned back slightly in his chair, his deep crimson eyes unreadable. "Yes. One day." His tone was final, as though the matter was already decided.
Alina’s lips curved into a small smile, relieved at the clarity. "Okay, sir. I’ll make sure to write the permission letters today, print them, and hand them to the babies to take home. I’ll also talk to them in class so they’re prepared."
"Good." Dante gave a short nod, watching her with that sharp, almost piercing gaze.
"I will take my leave then, if there’s nothing else," Alina said politely.
Dante gave a short nod, his crimson eyes steady on her.
She bowed her head slightly before turning and walking out, the sound of the door clicking shut echoing softly in the silence of his office.
For a long moment, Dante sat motionless, his gaze fixed on the door as though it still held her presence.
Then, he looked back at magic mirror which he showed Alina places and now it’s was revealing Alina’s figure as she walked down the hallway toward Class D.
She was adjusting the strap of her bag, flipping through the papers inside with that same look of careful focus. A few strands of her chestnut hair slipped forward, brushing against her cheek as she tucked them back distractedly.
Dante’s expression remained blank.. He told himself this was for the children—for the school. He was simply observing how she handled the little ones, how she maintained order where others had failed.
Yes. That was all...
