Chapter 334: Chapter 332 The King Should Have a Wild Nature_1

A voice came from a distant place. Sophia struggled to keep her eyes open to hear what was being said, but she couldn’t make out the faces. It was like pouring poor-quality oil paint into water and then frantically stirring it with a stick—twisting, spiraling.

How disgusting.

"URGH."

She vomited a mouthful of blood. She couldn’t even muster a sense of indignation, nor could she perceive her defeat.

Her brain, reeling from a severe impact, was unable to make any judgments. She merely watched the multicolored images suddenly vanish before her eyes as everything returned to darkness.

It was like lying in a room in the dead of night without any lights on, deathly silent all around.

Sophia stared into the darkness. Suddenly, the pitch-black void transformed into a succession of colorful scenes, her past flickering by like a revolving lantern.

She remembered when she was little, how she would often hide in deserted places, imagining a happy kingdom all her own.

The Granovsky Family wasn’t very wealthy at first. They just happened to make the right connections and bet on the right people at the right time. Then, with the president’s tacit approval, they eliminated the old oligarchs and became the new ones.

Even a pig could make a fortune if it monopolized a business.

The sudden wealth brought her nine "mothers," ten older brothers, four older sisters, two younger sisters, and three younger brothers.

Her youngest brother was still in the sixth grade of elementary school.

The surge in family members did not bring about a warm atmosphere. The age differences were too great, and coupled with disputes over wealth, everyone was harmonious on the surface but at each other’s throats underneath.

In summary, the environment and atmosphere at the Granovsky family home were terrible. Sophia despised that backstabbing atmosphere, so from a young age, she chose a different path: martial arts.

She fought constantly, using her fists to carve out her own kingdom in Moscow.

Learning Japanese was her father’s attempt to appear upper class. He demanded that his children be proficient in several languages to show that their family possessed the cultural heritage of Imperial Russian nobility, rather than being mere wealthy upstarts.

Even Sophia, an overlooked daughter, had to master two foreign languages besides her mother tongue.

English was mandatory.

For the remaining language, given the choice between Chinese and Japanese, Sophia decisively chose Japanese.

Because Japanese was easier to learn than Chinese.

This also led to her father sending her to study in Japan.

At a certain point, darkness swallowed her memories. Sophia’s consciousness seemed to return to her body. Her eyelashes fluttered, she opened her eyes, and saw a pure white ceiling.

BEEP. BEEP. Some sort of medical device was beeping beside her. Sophia tried to prop herself up.

A familiar Russian voice sounded beside her.

"Auntie, I think it’s best if you don’t try to get up. The doctor said you have eight broken ribs, and each one has slightly injured your internal organs. You need to be hospitalized for at least a week for observation to see if your condition worsens."

Sophia blinked. Her brain then recalled that she had gone to fight Hojo Tetsuji, and he had beaten her into this state with a single punch.

"Are you still breathing?"

Before losing consciousness, the last thing she heard had clearly been said by that black-haired boy.

And he was right; Hojo Tetsuji truly was a monster.

A wave of indignation rose in Sophia’s heart, and she growled, "Damn it!"

She had been unbeatable in Moscow.

She thought she could continue her reign in Tokyo, but she hadn’t expected her dream of building a kingdom to be shattered in her very first battle.

"Auntie, who beat you up like this?"

Sophia came to her senses, turned her head, and glanced at the sturdy young man standing by her bedside.

This was her elder brother’s son. He was a month younger than her but was still her nephew.

He was an excellent student and athletically gifted. It was safe to say her elder brother hadn’t lost his standing with their father largely because this outstanding son had won the old man’s favor.

In everyone else’s eyes, he was very sensible. Only in front of his aunt, who was close to him in age, did he reveal a bit of his youthful nature.

"To be able to beat an aunt as strong as a gorilla into this state, that guy must be incredibly strong. I want to fight him too."

"Peter, that guy is my opponent! Don’t you dare interfere!"

"Auntie, you’ve been beaten this badly. Stop being stubborn and just rest well."

Peter got up and said, "I have things to do, so I can’t stay with you. If you need anything, tell the maid."

"Don’t you dare touch my prey!"

Sophia warned him from her bed, not wanting her nephew to end up in the hospital too. She also felt too embarrassed to admit she had been taken down in a single move.

Peter waved his hand dismissively without responding and stepped out of the hospital room.

The corridor outside the VIP private room was very quiet. Four tall, burly men in suits guarded the entrance, the bulges at their waists confirming they were armed.

A maid and a butler were also standing there.

Peter said to the maid, "My aunt is awake. Go in and take care of her."

"Yes, Master Peter."

The maid nodded and entered the hospital room.

...

Peter walked down the corridor.

The silver-haired old man hadn’t stayed at the door of the hospital room; he followed behind Peter.

"Surak, arrange a school transfer for me. I want to transfer to Class 2-C at Brilliant High School."

Peter stated his request without turning his head.

Surak’s expression remained unchanged. He lowered his head slightly and said, "Master Peter, transferring from such a prestigious school to an obscure one will not please your father."

After a pause, he tactfully added, "Your father spent a considerable sum of money to get you into the affiliated high school of Tokyo University."

"Of course, I know what my father is thinking." Peter continued, "He wants me to meet more people there, befriend them, establish my own circle, and thereby increase his leverage for taking over the Granovsky Family business."

Peter smiled, paused, and turned to ask, "But do you know why we’re here?"

Surak shook his head. "That’s confidential information. I’m not privy to it. Do you know, Young Master?"

"I don’t know either."

Peter spread his hands, a smile playing on his lips. "But I know something important must have happened up top for this wave of students studying abroad to begin. It’s not just Russia; other countries are taking similar actions. In these turbulent times, building connections is important. But what’s more important is to enhance one’s own strength. You know my aunt’s strength very well. She’s about my age, but back in Moscow, among our peers, no one except me could overpower her. An ordinary student from some obscure high school beat her this badly. You don’t need me to tell you how talented that person must be. If he undergoes systematic training, I’ll gain a very powerful subordinate."

"I understand. I’ll make the arrangements immediately."

"Good. I’ll go check out Brilliant High School first."

With that, Peter leaped directly out of the sixth-floor window.

"AHH! Someone’s jumping from the building!"

A patient’s family member on the ground floor screamed at the sight.

Upstairs, Surak slapped his forehead. When in the presence of elders, Peter is always very polite, giving the impression of an obedient and well-behaved child. But once free from their restraint, the wild, adventurous, and disobedient nature in his bones emerges. Of course, this isn’t necessarily a shortcoming. Throughout history, those who achieve great things often possess an extraordinary wildness. In his opinion, Peter is precisely that kind of person.

...

「After school.」

When the teacher left the classroom, Hojo Tetsuji, who had been sitting at his desk, didn’t fall asleep. Instead, he promptly stood up and said, "Aozawa, let’s hurry to the hospital and check on that woman."

Aozawa hadn’t yet responded.

Phoenix Academy Maggie, who sat in front of him, turned her head. "What’s the use of checking on her now? Tetsuji, I’m not trying to criticize you, but this is a civilized society. Was it really necessary to be so harsh on a woman you were guaranteed to beat? You beat her until she was vomiting blood and seriously injured."

Hearing the young lady’s complaint, Hojo Tetsuji scratched his head and said weakly, "I didn’t know hitting someone was illegal. I’ve been fighting since I was little and never had any problems."

Phoenix Academy Maggie was surprised by his response and retorted, "What kind of feral life have you been living?"

"Young Mistress, you don’t understand. I think that woman is a delinquent too. She probably won’t report it to the police, right?"

Hojo Tetsuji tried to convince himself not to worry about breaking the law. It was only this afternoon that he had learned from Phoenix Academy Maggie that he had, in fact, broken the law.

Turns out, causing someone serious injury could lead to being arrested by the police.

Strange. She clearly came looking for a fight, and I merely defended myself, nearly beating her to death in return. Was that really wrong?

Phoenix Academy Maggie said expressionlessly, "That woman isn’t ordinary. She’s from the Granovsky Family. If she really decides to press charges, you’ll definitely go to jail. By the time you get out, Little Sayuri’s kids will already be in elementary school."

"No! That can’t happen!"

Hojo Tetsuji yelled. Then, quickly thinking of a solution, he clapped his hands and said, "Right! Why don’t we just make sure she can never speak again? Then no one will know I’m the one who beat her so badly!"

Aozawa gave him a thumbs-up. "Wow, you’re a real genius!"

Phoenix Academy Maggie clenched her fists, an intimidating aura practically radiating from her.

GULP. Both young men swallowed hard in unison.

Aozawa spread his hands. "Just kidding! I strongly condemn such behavior."

Phoenix Academy Maggie let out a breath. "Hmph." She glared at Aozawa. "Aozawa, don’t stir up trouble! If he actually did that, even I couldn’t easily cover it up. Tetsuji, be careful in the future. Try not to injure people so severely."

Hojo Tetsuji muttered, "If I only injure them lightly, they’ll just come back to provoke me again. It’s really troublesome."

Phoenix Academy Maggie said flatly, "While you’re in jail, who do you think Little Sayuri will be having kids with?"

Hojo Tetsuji quickly changed his tune. "I get it! I definitely won’t injure anyone that badly again!"

Getting out of jail only to see the woman he loves either pregnant with another man’s child or with her kids already running around town... that would be a vision straight from Hell.

He didn’t want to see that future.

Phoenix Academy Maggie glared at Aozawa again. "Tetsuji isn’t a Superpower User who can just make problems disappear! Don’t egg him on like that. What if he actually went through with it?"

"As you command, Young Mistress."

Aozawa smiled, stuffed his books into his backpack, slung it over his shoulder, and headed to the Kendo club for practice.
