Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Strong Suppression, Subdue the Demon {Suddenly more updates, asking for recommendation tickets}_1

Lady Di Yong smiled awkwardly.

She always felt uneasy when Sha Chen had a sword in his hand.

"I’m not afraid of being stabbed," she said, "I just fear that the sword isn’t clean and will tarnish my body."

Sha Chen replied, "Actually, I’ve lied to you."

Lady Di Yong asked, "Did the General deceive my heart?"

Sha Chen said, "No, half of what I said earlier was a lie."

Lady Di Yong asked, "Which part?"

Sha Chen explained, "Indeed, I didn’t come to stab you, but neither did I come to help you slice melons."

Frozen, Lady Di Yong stammered, "Then what for?"

Sha Chen waved his sword, slashing down, seemingly about to split Lady Di Yong in two.

Frightened, her complexion drastically changed as she quickly performed a substitution technique. The melon in her hand transformed into her likeness, while her true self escaped.

However, the melon was cut open, and she couldn’t escape.

Sha Chen merely raised his hand, and a vast heavenly handprint struck down, pressing Lady Di Yong firmly against the ground.

The powerful aura of a peak Golden Immortal emanated from Lady Di Yong as she struggled, but she was unable to break free.

Terrified, she begged, "General, General, what have I done wrong to anger you so?"

Sha Chen withdrew his hand, grabbed her by the throat, and pulled her in front of him, his expression icy.

He said emotionlessly, "You seduced me."

Lady Di Yong was shocked. Was that even a reason?

Desperately, she pleaded, "I won’t dare again, I’ll never dare again."

Sha Chen countered, "Am I not worthy of your seduction?"

Lady Di Yong was on the verge of tears. So, can I seduce him or not?

Tentatively, she proposed, "General, should I try a different method next time?"

Sha Chen snorted coldly and tightened his grip, nearly causing her to choke, her neck almost snapping.

She continued to plead desperately, even reaching for his groin, but he slapped her hand away.

"I won’t allow you to harbor any designs on me, understand?" Sha Chen said coldly.

Lady Di Yong nodded hastily, her eyes filled with a pleading look.

Only then did Sha Chen loosen his grip. "You are a friend of Seventh Mother and the others, but not my friend," he said. "I have saved you. How will you repay me?"

Still shaken, Lady Di Yong was filled with fear toward the capricious Sha Chen.

She ventured, "Offer myself to you?"

Sha Chen once again took hold of her neck and pressed her to the ground, saying, "I told you, don’t entertain any ideas about me."

Lady Di Yong was close to tears, begging, "To work like an ox or a horse, at your beck and call, to repay the General’s great kindness?"

Sha Chen released her, speaking indifferently, "Get up. Since you have this intention, would you sign a Spirit Contract with me?"

A Spirit Contract was a form of agreement between demons and the Realm of People. It wasn’t particularly strong in compulsion but did ensure sufficient loyalty. Sha Chen had once signed such a contract with Black Bear Spirit. It merely prevented demons from betraying their master but could not guarantee that they served wholeheartedly. Therefore, Sha Chen still had to maintain a relationship with Black Bear Spirit later on, win his heart, and ensure his service.

He wasn’t in a hurry to win over Lady Di Yong’s heart now, but he needed to secure her person so she wouldn’t dare harbor inappropriate thoughts.

Indeed, Lady Di Yong was frightened. Signing a Spirit Contract meant losing her freedom and being bound. Even if it did not require absolute loyalty to Sha Chen, her status would still be much lower than his. I want to be a mistress, not a maid, she thought.

But the power Sha Chen had just demonstrated made her afraid. Moreover, his unpredictable temper truly scared her. She worried that refusal might lead to Sha Chen killing her.

With great reluctance, but to save her own life, Lady Di Yong hesitated briefly before deciding to yield.

She got up and presented her posterior.

Sha Chen’s cheek twitched. Why does everyone like to do this? He gave her rear a light swat and said, "No need for that. Just sign it directly."

The two began to sign the Spirit Contract. Moments later, Lady Di Yong lowered her skirt, revealing a new mark on her buttocks.

With a look of sorrowful resignation, she said, "Master, from now on, I am yours."

Sha Chen simply ignored her and nodded, saying, "From now on, be more dignified. I am a respectable person."

Lady Di Yong replied, "Yes, Master."

Sha Chen coughed and said, "Don’t hold any grudges. I did this as a precaution. I saved you, and I don’t want to rescue an ingrate. After all, this is where I practice my cultivation day and night. I can’t afford any mishaps."

Lady Di Yong said, "I understand, Master. There’s no need to explain. Just assign me whatever task you wish."

Sha Chen said, "There are no tasks."

He still felt that Lady Di Yong was probably harboring some resentment. She’s probably still harboring some resentment, he thought. He had managed to bring another demon spirit under his control; she was a source of his resources, and he couldn’t afford to alienate her. Otherwise, if she were to be perfunctory with his arrangements later on, it would be a greater loss than gain.

It’s time to truly win her over,

he decided.

Sha Chen rolled up his sleeves and said, "Come, I’ll help you make a fire and cook."

Lady Di Yong paused for a moment, her lips pressed together as she watched Sha Chen’s bustling back, her eyes reflecting complex emotions.

Indeed, I feel resentful, she thought. But having already signed the Spirit Contract, she had accepted her fate. She did indeed plan to be perfunctory in her service to Sha Chen, a small act of revenge in her heart. But then, witnessing Sha Chen cooking himself, remembering that he had saved her life, and considering how enigmatic and profound he was... Moved, terrified, respectful, and puzzled... Her emotions were incredibly complex. I want to treat him perfunctorily, but I neither dare nor have the heart to do so. Yet, if I don’t, I’ll feel uncomfortable.

As she hesitated, Sha Chen had already finished the dishes and brought them over: a balanced spread of meat and vegetables, accompanied by fine wine.

Lady Di Yong, a woman with a penchant for delicacies and wine, could no longer restrain herself upon seeing the feast before her. After exchanging a few pleasantries with Sha Chen, she began eating heartily.

Sha Chen chuckled inwardly. He knew Lady Di Yong well. This was a woman who would steal offerings from Buddhism. After descending to the Realm of People and capturing Monk Tang, she had even pretended to observe a vegetarian diet in an attempt to seduce him. When discovered, she would instruct her subordinates to prepare feasts, disregarding all dietary restrictions. She was a heroine in the realm of food and drink, every bit as fond of indulgence as Zhu Bajie. This was natural, given her true form was a golden-nosed white-furred mouse.

Sha Chen kept pouring wine for her.

After many rounds of wine and varied dishes, when they were both warm and flushed from the alcohol, Sha Chen began to soothe her wounded heart.

A few words later, Lady Di Yong burst into tears of grievance.

"Master, you scared me badly before," she sobbed. "Please don’t do that again. Even if you hadn’t made me sign the Spirit Contract, I would still be yours."

Her pitiable appearance made Sha Chen feel as if he had committed some terrible sin. However, he was immune to such coquettish displays.

Keeping it strictly business, he said, "This is for safety. If you behave well enough, I can consider canceling the Spirit Contract in the future."

Lady Di Yong’s eyes shone. "You must keep your word, Master!" she said. "I’ll start behaving well right now." As she spoke, she reached out to touch him.

Sha Chen swatted her hand away. "I am a respectable person," he said.

Lady Di Yong thought to herself, He really is a paragon of virtue. Then, with a bewitching charm, she said, "Master, you’re not even giving me a chance to show you. I’m still hungry. I want to eat."

Sha Chen said, "Don’t talk. Open your mouth."

Lady Di Yong paused for a moment. She came closer, knelt on the ground, tilted her head back, and obediently opened her mouth, her cheeks flushed red from the wine.

Sha Chen picked up a large piece of fatty meat and stuffed it into her mouth, saying with a smile, "If you’re hungry, keep eating. Serve yourself. Don’t make me feed you. You’re an old girl of tens of thousands of years; stop being so childish."

Lady Di Yong looked as if she was questioning her entire existence. Could my master be a complete simpleton?!
