When the two infernal hands in the sky suppressed everything, Xu Zimo drew his blade and stepped forward into the air. The sharp aura of his sword will surged forth, exploding with overwhelming power.
Above him, thunder roared and flames burned across the heavens.
Countless Nomological Truths blended together, condensing above Xu Zimo’s head.
As he brought down his blade, his figure seemed to freeze in midair.
Thunder rolled endlessly, infernal energy filled the heavens, as if all the darkness of the world had gathered into one.
The strike fell with unstoppable force, destroying all before it.
“I truly underestimated you,” said the Myriad Flowers Fairy coldly. “I don’t know who you’ve called upon, but they might as well show themselves.”
“If your true body is not here, you have no right to meet them,” Xu Zimo said. “Old hag, do you really think you can act with impunity across the Nine Heavens?”
His blade fell, cleaving half of Hundred Flowers Valley’s floating island cleanly in two.
A thunderous sound like the fury of heaven itself shook the world.
The island of Hundred Flowers Valley was forcefully dragged back down.
“Leave the Grand-Pivot God-Sword,” Xu Zimo said calmly, “or no one leaves today.”
The Myriad Flowers Fairy’s gaze turned cold. It seemed to pierce through layers of space, trying to locate the source of the two massive infernal hands.
But within Xu Zimo’s domain, none could see through what he guarded.
Finding nothing, the Myriad Flowers Fairy waved her right hand.
The sky changed again.
Dark clouds gathered. Before any sword appeared, the will of a sovereign blade descended from above.
The so-called Grand-Pivot God-Sword, one strike to cut through ten thousand worlds, all the mysteries of heaven and earth contained within.
It carried limitless power.
There were countless legends about the Grand-Pivot God-Sword.
Some said that when Grand Emperor Xuan Yuan comprehended his Dao Source and ascended to Grand Emperor Realm, this sword fell from the heavens, singing in sorrow for three years, while rainbow light lingered in the sky for days.
All who saw it could not help but bow in reverence.
It was an ancient divine sword.
Others claimed the sword was personally forged by Grand Emperor Xuan Yuan himself, representing boundless fortune and destiny, a sword of fate and luck.
When the emperor left, he entrusted this sword to the Xuanyuan Clan, hoping they would inherit his fortune through the ages.
But these were only tales; no version had ever been proven.
A golden light descended, dazzling and searing to the soul, accompanied by sword intent that pierced the heavens.
It tore through the thick clouds above, crossing endless time and space, as if flying from billions of miles away through the river of ages.
The sword intent alone was enough to shake the heart.
Xu Zimo looked up. As the Grand-Pivot God-Sword fell, its form became clear amid the blinding gold.
The blade was entirely golden, its tip triangular and razor-sharp.
Down its length ran a straight line, as though carved deliberately, but it was in fact the sword’s energy channel.
It absorbed power, and its color shifted with each type of energy it consumed.
When that line was completely filled, the Grand-Pivot God-Sword’s full strength would be unleashed.
Around the golden outer blade ran an inner layer of faint gray, like burnished metal.
Within that gray layer were countless small, tadpole-like markings, dense and ancient.
Above that was the sword guard.
From both sides of the guard extended two small axe-like blades, each inlaid with a dragon motif.
At the center of the guard was a hexagonal sword crystal, glowing brilliantly with golden light.
It seemed the sword’s entire radiance poured out from this crystal.
The crystal was pure and transparent, like the core of all energy.
The Grand-Pivot God-Sword descended from the void, crossing infinite distance, and embedded itself heavily in the air before Xu Zimo.
The hilt trembled continuously, the golden light flickering across its surface.
“The Grand-Pivot God-Sword is yours,” the Myriad Flowers Fairy said coolly. “Now release Hundred Flowers Valley.”
“You dumbass... If it was going to end this way, why did you make things so troublesome?” Xu Zimo said, shaking his head.
He waved his hand. The two vast infernal hands tossed back the floating island of Hundred Flowers Valley, then withdrew into the God World.
Under the Myriad Flowers Fairy’s gaze, the island was swallowed by the void.
Where Hundred Flowers Valley once stood, the land was now torn open into a bottomless chasm.
“Consider this a test,” said the Myriad Flowers Fairy. “The Grand-Pivot God-Sword is your greeting gift.”
“A test?” Xu Zimo shook his head. “Heh... Whatever I desire, I take. I do not need anyone’s permission.”
“I hope you reach our realm soon,” the Myriad Flowers Fairy said.
Her voice faded as the golden luans screeched and took flight. Her figure vanished into the void.
The heavy clouds dispersed.
Zhang Bei and the others climbed out from the void, looking battered and exhausted.
Seeing no more danger, the three of them bowed deeply to Xu Zimo.
“Many thanks for saving our lives, Brother Xu.”
Xu Zimo waved his hand slightly and picked up the Grand-Pivot God-Sword before him.
It was extremely heavy. Even for him, holding it made his arm feel weighed down.
“A Sword of Faith,” Xu Zimo murmured.
He now understood, the Grand-Pivot God-Sword was powered by the strength of belief.
Those who worshiped it, who revered its wielder, would feed it with their faith, much like how Buddhas and deities cultivate through incense and devotion.
Ordinary spiritforce or worldly essence could not activate it.
That made it difficult for most.
Faith was not something that could be gathered overnight.
Even the Daoist and Buddhist sects had spent countless years earning the devotion of the common people.
But for Xu Zimo, such faith was no problem.
Behind him stood an entire world.
Though he did not rule the God World directly, gathering power from believers would not be hard.
“Now that the Myriad Flowers Fairy has taken Hundred Flowers Valley, and you’ve gained the Grand-Pivot God-Sword, Brother Xu,” Zhang Bei said with a smile, “I’d say things turned out quite well.”
“Indeed,” Arcane Demon nodded. “We all underestimated the Myriad Flowers Fairy. We thought she was only an Immortal Monarch, but clearly, our eyes were too small.”
“What will you do next, Brother Xu?” Zhang Bei asked.
“I’ll be looking for a sect called the True Martial Sacred Ground, and another called the Vast Heaven God Realm,” Xu Zimo said.
He had promised Heaven’s Equal Emperor to return the inheritance token of the Heaven-Shattering God-Scripture to the Vast Heaven God Realm.
He hadn’t yet found it, but now he had time to look.
“I’ve heard the Ancient Demons and Liches have reappeared,” Myriad Buddha sighed. “I don’t know what will become of us.”
“And Saint Sovereign Brahma?” Xu Zimo asked.
“To be honest, Brother Xu,” Arcane Demon replied, “our ancestor has long departed. Before he left, he said the fate of the Mortal Ascension Heaven is already sealed, and he is no hero or savior.”
