Chapter 421: Chapter 377: Give Her My Liver
Xu Tong looked incredulously at Qiu Yufei, whose face had become somewhat fierce: "Yufei, have you gone mad?"
"I’m not mad. You kept saying you love me, willing to do everything for me. Now that I need you, don’t tell me you were just talking big."
Xu Tong shook his head, sighing: "Haven’t I already done so many bad things for you in the past? I bribed the hospital nurses and that lady’s henchmen to throw the child off the bridge, yet the child didn’t die because of his tough life. Why? Because his fate is tough, he is destined not to die. And now you want me to kidnap him? Do you really think that, as the child of the wealthiest man in Aus City, Mu Shuoqian wouldn’t have people protecting him in the shadows?"
"If you don’t want to help, just say so. There’s no need for all these excuses." Qiu Yufei became angry and rushed up to drag Xu Tong off the bed, "Get out of here."
"Yufei, calm down. It’s not too late to turn back now. Let’s leave and fly far away, to another country, to a place where no one can find us." Xu Tong gripped her arm tightly, "Don’t be lost in your delusions anymore."
Qiu Yufei looked at him coldly, then suddenly her voice softened, and one hand covered the back of his: "Xu Tong, now I only have you. Don’t leave me."
"I will never leave you." Xu Tong clasped her hand in return, "As long as you’re willing to turn back, I’ll do anything you ask."
"I’ll think about it." Qiu Yufei wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. At an angle he couldn’t see, the corners of her mouth curled into a cold smile. It seems, now more than ever, she cannot let Xu Tong leave. She alone is not enough, she needs his help, knowing this man is utterly devoted to her. That’s exactly what she can exploit.
"Xu Tong, could you first help me find out where Shuoqian’s wedding is?", Qiu Yufei looked at him pitifully, "I’ll listen to you, I won’t do anything, I just want to see him at his wedding, as a final full stop to all these years of unrequited love, to see him find his happiness, then I will leave with you."
Xu Tong couldn’t believe it, yet he couldn’t suppress his excitement: "Yufei, are you serious?"
"Really, I’m tired too." Qiu Yufei smiled and kissed his cheek, "Please."
It was her first time initiating a kiss with him, and it was their most intimate moment yet. Xu Tong, excited and at a loss for words, just looked at her with a blissful face.
Qiu Yufei’s eyes were gentle as water, brimming with endless tenderness, reminding him of the first time he met her in the States. She was lively and agile, strikingly beautiful, making him fall in love at first sight.
"Yufei, I’ll look into it now, rest assured."
"Xu Tong, thank you." Qiu Yufei kissed his face again, "You’ve been a great help."

After sending Mu Qinian to kindergarten, Gu Qili went to the mall to buy a set of New Year’s clothes for Mu Shuoqian. He usually only wore customized clothes and seldom wore anything bought from a mall.
Just after paying, Mu Shuoqian’s call came in.
"Where are you?"
"Shopping." Gu Qili signed the receipt, carrying the shopping bag as she walked out.
"I’ll pick you up."
"Okay, we can eat together then."
While waiting for him, Gu Qili stopped by a milk tea shop, bought two cups of milk tea, and sat on a bench in the mall, watching the crowd pass by.
It wasn’t long before she spotted a familiar figure amidst the throng of various faces, with different heights and builds, but she noticed him immediately. In her eyes, no matter where he was, he stood out, so dazzling, so eye-catching.
Mu Shuoqian had obviously seen her too and walked over with quick strides.
"Why did you run out here?" He stretched out his hand to pull her up from the chair. "Next time, you’re not allowed to wander off alone."
"I dropped Niannian off at kindergarten and passed by, so I bought you some New Year’s clothes." Gu Qili smiled and shook the shopping bag in her hand, "Try them on when we get home."
"Okay." He took the shopping bag from her, "What do you want to eat?"
"Not really hungry, maybe just some porridge." Gu Qili mentioned casually, but Mu Shuoqian looked at her in silence, a flash of pain in his eyes. Her appetite had been poor lately, eating less than before, and he had noticed she had lost weight quite a while ago. Yet, he had not thought about the worst. If only he had been more attentive, perhaps her illness would not have been discovered so late. Advanced stage – such a terrifying concept. Even now, he couldn’t believe it, feeling as if he was stuck in a nightmare, fantasizing about the day he would wake up.
