Chapter 191 Cultivating the Land

Su Ling walked in, and the door to the operation room closed, cutting off contact with the outside.

Gu Shangse stood at the door. He looked at the door that blended seamlessly with the wall and whispered, "Good night."

Upon entering the operation room, Su Ling did not turn on the lights. After inspecting the room, she went into her personal space.

After a bath, she changed into clean clothes and sat in the courtyard.

On the table before her were fruits picked from the courtyard, along with iced fruit tea made with water from the courtyard's fountain.

The fruit tea, with its colorful array and ice cubes, was a pleasing sight.

Su Ling was reading a novel, occasionally snacking on fruit and sipping fruit tea, enjoying the utmost comfort.

Time passed. When Su Ling finished her novel, she stretched and decided to take a nap in her space.

Time flowed much slower in her personal space compared to the outside world. When Su Ling woke up, the outside world was still in its day-night cycle.

She checked the time; it was only three in the morning.

Looking at the remaining fruit and fruit tea, Su Ling brought them out of her personal space.

She placed the fruit and fruit tea on the console, and then brought up the display screen with the snowflakes.

It seemed she would have to wait for the next castle upgrade for the display to function for her.

Unable to sleep any longer, Su Ling took a mango and left the operation room. She ascended the stairs and stood in the courtyard.

After finishing the mango in her hand, Su Ling tossed the pit onto the ground and then retrieved a hoe from her personal space to start planting.

By the time dawn broke, Su Ling had planted seeds or seedlings of vegetables, fruits, and melons all around the house.

She divided the land into three sections: one-third for fruits, one-third for vegetables, and one-third for flavoring plants like onions, ginger, garlic, and Sichuan peppercorns.

After planting, Su Ling cleaned herself up and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

It wasn't exactly preparing breakfast; she simply stayed in the kitchen, retrieved pre-apocalypse breakfast supplies from her personal space, plated them, and then brought them to the dining table.

When Gu Shangse and the others came downstairs, Su Ling was drinking soy milk, eating tea eggs, with a plate of stir-fried noodles in front of her.

While eating breakfast, Su Ling had a tablet in front of her, playing a movie. She was engrossed in the film and her meal.

Her leisurely demeanor made it hard to believe this was a post-apocalyptic world.

Sister Na arrived at the dining table, pulled up a chair, and sat down. Looking at the incredibly abundant breakfast, she picked up a cup of soy milk and asked Su Ling, "Did you prepare all this yourself?"

Su Ling looked at Sister Na and shook her head, "Stockpile."

The single word "stockpile" explained everything, and everyone understood.

Hanhan, not needing Sister Na's care, was eating his breakfast obediently and independently.

Sister Na drank half a cup of soy milk and looked at Su Ling, "A Ling, I'm really curious about you and your storage ability."

Taking a bite of a steamed bun, the skin was thin and the filling was plentiful. The bite oozed oil, a unique pleasure.

"Would you mind describing what your storage space looks like to us?" Sister Na asked, her curiosity piqued.

Being able to store things, preserve them, and keep them exactly as they were when put in was truly magical.

It wasn't just Sister Na who was curious; Gu Shangse and the others were as well.

However, they were all very patient. Despite their curiosity, they hadn't asked Su Ling.

Su Ling turned off the tablet and started peeling a tea egg. After a moment of thought, she described her space to Sister Na and the others.

"My storage ability is like an ecological park. Besides storing things, it also ensures that whatever is put in, comes out exactly as it was when it was first placed inside."
