Chen Tian looked at the Snowfield Dragon before him and said, "Snowfield Dragon, I'm counting on you this time."
"Understood, Master. I will definitely protect you," the Snowfield Dragon replied, its eyes glowing. Instantly, a topographic map of the surroundings appeared in its mind, though only within a hundred-mile radius.
Chen Tian then instructed, "Let's go to the Machine Forest."
A target appeared in the Snowfield Dragon's eyes. With the dragon leading and Chen Tian following, they headed northwest.
Chen Tian had no intention of searching for fragments immediately. His level was too low; he needed to gain experience to improve. The nearest Machine Forest was the best place for this, though Chen Tian worried if the Snowfield Dragon could handle it.
Walking on a path made of rusted mechanical parts, strewn with countless fragments and gears, Chen Tian opened the system interface to examine the materials. Since his attribute panel was locked, his Divine Eye couldn't be used, forcing him to rely on the system interface. Chen Tian sighed, "These are all good materials! It's a shame they've ended up like this. Truly a waste." If he had this many materials, the Snowfield Dragon's level and strength would undoubtedly soar.
As Chen Tian and the Snowfield Dragon continued their journey, red dots began to appear from the ground. The Snowfield Dragon immediately entered a combat stance, while Chen Tian stood by, confident that the dragon could protect him. After all, he still had a trump card. He wasn't afraid.
As the ground slowly cracked open, hundreds of mechanical beings emerged before Chen Tian's eyes. Their heads were composed of three interconnected triangles, with a red light at the center of each. Their lower bodies were mechanical claws, moving rapidly across the ground. Above their triangular heads were turrets. The Snowfield Dragon grew cautious, observing the mechanical creatures around them.
Without hesitation, four mechanical fragments materialized on its shoulders, forming a blue barrier around Chen Tian. Chen Tian then accessed the information of the approaching enemies.
Mechanical Giant Spider
Level: 50
HP: 100/100
Energy: 3000
Speed: 9100
Constitution: 0
Strength: 6100
Weapon Mastery: 9500
Skill Mastery: 9800
Armor: 3000
Weapons: Triangle Eyes, Mechanical Claws!
Skills: Triangle Eye Laser, Mechanical Cannon, Mechanical Claw Strike, Mechanical Claw Hook.
Chen Tian was stunned. The area was filled with level 50 monsters. He asked, "Snowfield Dragon, can you handle this?"
"Don't worry, Master. Even at level 50, they are just combat machines without consciousness. There will be a significant difference when fighting me," the Snowfield Dragon said confidently. Chen Tian didn't dispute this, but there were hundreds of them!
The Snowfield Dragon spread its wings, expelling gas as it ascended into the sky. Looking down at the Mechanical Giant Spiders, its chest opened, releasing a barrage of missiles. However, the densely packed Mechanical Giant Spiders rotated their heads, their triangular eyes firing lasers that intercepted the missiles.
The collision of laser fire and missiles resulted in continuous explosions. The Snowfield Dragon extended its arm, transforming it into a massive cannon. A beam of light converged, and the Divine Fire Beam was unleashed.
Below, the Giant Spiders fused their mechanical claws into drill-like shapes. Their heads retracted, and they spun their bodies, burrowing into the ground. The Snowfield Dragon's attack hit the ground, leaving it completely intact. The Mechanical Giant Spiders emerged, and from a depression on their heads, they fired volleys of cannonballs towards the sky.
Facing the dense rain of missiles, the Snowfield Dragon deployed cannons from the sides of its legs, unleashing lasers. Explosions erupted. The Snowfield Dragon's expression grew serious. The materials of these mechanical beings were far superior to its own, making its attacks difficult to inflict damage. Despite their seemingly low health, the mechanical beings' armor wouldn't decrease, and thus they wouldn't lose health, unless their bodies could be broken.
The Snowfield Dragon summoned mechanical wrist blades on its arms. Ranged combat was proving ineffective, so it switched to melee. With the mechanical wrist blades appearing on its arms, the Snowfield Dragon charged towards the Mechanical Giant Spiders. As the spiders saw the Snowfield Dragon's attack, they fired lasers from their triangular eyes. However, the Snowfield Dragon skillfully dodged them with its speed and agility.
It suddenly appeared before a Mechanical Giant Spider, its wrist blades striking in unison. With a "swish" and a clash of sparks, the Mechanical Giant Spider was cleaved in two. The Snowfield Dragon smirked. While ranged attacks might not be effective, its wrist blades were forged from White Star-grade weapon materials, something these mechanical creatures couldn't withstand.
Just then, a system notification chimed in Chen Tian's mind.
"Ding! Congratulations to the player for defeating the level 50 monster, Mechanical Giant Spider, and obtaining the mechanical material: Golden Origin Iron!"
"Ding! Congratulations to the player for defeating the level 50 monster, Mechanical Giant Spider, and obtaining 50 million experience points!"
Chen Tian showed no hesitation. Mechanical materials were extremely useful for him, as they could be used to upgrade the levels and bodies of the Snowfield Dragon and Bing Tianning. The Snowfield Dragon then transformed into a demon, its wrist blades relentlessly seeking and slicing through its prey. The Mechanical Giant Spiders, seeing the Snowfield Dragon's assault, changed their attack strategy. Their mechanical claws extended to their heads, spinning rapidly and lunging towards the Snowfield Dragon like mechanical whirlwinds.
The Snowfield Dragon raised a mechanical shield with its right arm, deflecting numerous whirlwinds. However, cracks appeared on the shield. The Snowfield Dragon's expression turned grim. There were too many enemies; its shield wouldn't hold for long. What should it do? Its mind raced, analyzing the situation. It muttered, 'Let's give it a try!'
The Snowfield Dragon then spread the wrist blades on its arms like wings, attaching them to its waist. A mechanical drill appeared above its head. It began to spin, transforming into a mechanical drill that plunged into the heart of the Mechanical Giant Spider swarm. Countless mechanical whirlwinds were shattered before the drill.
Electronic voices echoed in Chen Tian's mind, followed by an interface pop-up.
"Ding! Congratulations to Snowfield Dragon for creating a new skill: Rotating Drill Breaks the Heavens!"
Chen Tian was astonished. It could learn skills this way? This was the first he'd heard of it. The Snowfield Dragon retained its original human consciousness, naturally allowing it to learn skills. Chen Tian had always believed that skills needed to be designed. When he initially helped the Snowfield Dragon level up, he hadn't designed any skills due to a lack of materials, only equipping mechanical gear. But now that he had collected over a hundred mechanical materials, Chen Tian felt an itch to see how far the Snowfield Dragon could improve.
As the battle concluded, the Snowfield Dragon returned to Chen Tian's side. The protective barrier around Chen Tian vanished. Chen Tian opened his status panel, and a mechanical keyboard appeared, with tubes connecting to the Snowfield Dragon's body. The Snowfield Dragon understood Chen Tian's intentions and remained still. Chen Tian typed on the keyboard, and a mechanical restructuring sound emanated from the Snowfield Dragon's body. After some time, Chen Tian stopped operating, wiping his forehead. "Alright, skill setting is complete, and all materials have been replaced." He then pressed the confirm button. The Snowfield Dragon's level directly increased from 40 to 55. Chen Tian then pulled up the Snowfield Dragon's attribute panel.
