Chapter 403: Slaying the Yin Yang Demon Wolf (Part 1)

Yun Long was experiencing city life, helping a young shopkeeper attract customers. Meanwhile, Chen Tian’s main body was heading in a specific direction.

On the northeast side of the city, Chen Tian appeared in the sky, moving forward. If his senses were correct, the target should be ahead. He accelerated, arriving at a mountain range where his senses abruptly ceased. Chen Tian spoke softly, "It’s here, but my senses have vanished."

He then landed in the mountain range. His senses had disappeared upon arrival. Was it due to the mountain’s special properties shielding his perception, or had something else occurred?

The Longyue Mountain Range was one of the largest in the cultivation world. Five major mountain ranges were scattered across the cultivation world, and Longyue Mountain Range was the biggest in the west. The lowest-level spirit beasts here were at least at the Void God Realm. Chen Tian proceeded with caution, acknowledging that even in the open, he might not be a match for a spirit beast of equal cultivation.

Spirit beasts possessed far superior physical conditioning compared to ordinary humans, and their intelligence was on par with humans. Chen Tian walked cautiously through the mountains, knowing the item was within. However, the Longyue Mountain Range was vast; he had no idea how long it would take to find it.

Suddenly, from the grass beside Chen Tian, a black and white figure lunged at him. Chen Tian reacted instantly with a spinning kick, sending the figure flying as it passed him.

Chen Tian slowly stood up and looked at the figure before him. It was a black and white wolf, its fur a striking contrast of colors, with fierce eyes fixed on him. Its fangs were bared, and its claws were sharp. Chen Tian remarked, "So, it's an Yin Yang Wolf!"

The Yin Yang Wolf mastered Yin Yang power. However, this was a lower-level, unevolved form. Yet, even in this state, Chen Tian could feel that its strength was not inferior to his.

Chen Tian clenched his fists, entering a combat state. The Yin Yang Wolf had clearly targeted him, intending to kill him. Spirit beasts possessed significant intelligence, especially those in the Void God Realm, whose minds mirrored those of humans.

Chen Tian and the Yin Yang Wolf met each other's gaze. The wolf initiated, sprinting and darting left and right towards Chen Tian. Chen Tian remained in place, activating his divine eyes. The previously illusory figure gradually became clear in his vision. A massive wolf claw slammed down towards him. Chen Tian met it with both fists, causing the ground to collapse with a thunderous roar. Chen Tian was driven into the ground, his fists struggling to resist the impact.

Gritting his teeth, Chen Tian unleashed his full strength with both fists. The Yin Yang Wolf was sent flying backward. It looked at the young man who had repelled it with a flicker of shock, but it was fleeting. In the wolf’s eyes, Chen Tian was its prey, and it would ultimately triumph.

It then charged again, its form transforming into a black and white blur, constantly shifting its position. Chen Tian watched the myriad of black and white lights surrounding him, activating his divine eyes once more. This time, he could only perceive faint outlines.

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Chen Tian. He activated his extreme evasion. Instantly, a black and white claw grazed his hair and vanished, returning to its blur form. Chen Tian felt enveloped by the black and white light. He shifted his body to the left, and a massive claw scraped his sleeve.

Chen Tian observed the swirling black and white energy around him. His opponent was too fast; he couldn't see its form. Even his divine eyes could only catch fleeting glimpses. Truly worthy of being a Void God Realm spirit beast!

Chen Tian was enveloped in spiritual energy. He murmured, "If the game origin were fully restored, I could use game skills to resolve this. Unfortunately, it’s not completely recovered yet!"

Chen Tian was then encased in spiritual energy. With the game origin not yet recovered, he couldn't use any skills or abilities from within the game. However, he could still utilize the powers of the Divine Realm and the cultivation world.

Azure wind began to swirl around Chen Tian's hands, gathering the surrounding airflow. A vortex slowly formed in his palm, growing larger. Chen Tian slowly raised his arm, and the vortex transformed into a massive vortex that appeared in the sky. As Chen Tian lowered his arm, the colossal vortex descended, crashing down and engulfing the entire area where the black and white blur had been.

"Awoo!"

A roar echoed, and a figure slowly tore a path through the vortex before emerging. Chen Tian looked at the Yin Yang Wolf before him. His move wasn’t intended to injure it but merely to halt its speed.

Then, flames began to wreathe Chen Tian's hands. His spiritual seed could mimic the abilities and characteristics of any spiritual seed, giving him a vast repertoire of techniques. As long as he willed it, his spiritual seed could become a Five Elements, Starry Sky, or Sword Dao spiritual seed.

This spiritual seed was even more powerful than the divine ones he had encountered. In essence, Chen Tian's spiritual seed could harness the abilities and traits of all spiritual seeds in the cultivation world. The spiritual seed he had used previously was the Wind Element spiritual seed. This time, he employed the Fire Element spiritual seed. Chen Tian’s fists slowly ignited, and he slammed them into the ground.

Instantly, streams of molten lava erupted from the ground, surging towards the Yin Yang Wolf. Pillars of fire, molten rock, and a blazing inferno.

Spell: Fire Earth Split.

The Yin Yang Wolf, facing Chen Tian's attack, slowly extended its claws, which began to glow with black and white light. It swiped its claws, unleashing streaks of black and white energy that collided with Chen Tian's fiery pillars, erupting in an explosion.

Surrounding trees ignited, and the ground turned to charcoal. Chen Tian slowly lifted his fists from the ground, and a sword of blue water began to form on his arm, composed of coalescing water currents.

Chen Tian raised his right hand high, and the sword descended. Instantly, a vast ocean appeared behind him, gathering into the water sword. Chen Tian then swept his arm, unleashing a brilliant blue water blade that shot forward like a beam of light towards the Yin Yang Wolf.

The Yin Yang Wolf seemed to sneer. It extended its claws, sharpening its nails, and charged directly at Chen Tian's blue water sword. The two collided, and with a surge of power, the water sword was flung away.

Chen Tian looked at the Yin Yang Wolf before him and said, "No wonder it targeted me. It seems to be in its final evolutionary stage, requiring immense energy. My origin is the most attractive thing to spirit beasts."

Chen Tian finally understood why the Yin Yang Wolf had attacked him. However, he wouldn't allow it. He had matters to attend to. He then made the water sword on his arm disappear. Chen Tian slowly raised his arm, and the sky above him churned. Clouds gathered around his arm, darkening the sky with lightning striking his limb.

The swirling clouds on Chen Tian's arm transformed into a colossal drill. Chen Tian then shot skyward, and the drill descended directly towards the Yin Yang Wolf.

Spell: Thundercloud Annihilation Drill.

Chen Tian had transformed his spiritual seed into a Thundercloud spiritual seed, allowing him to command the power of lightning and clouds. The massive drill hurtled towards the Yin Yang Wolf. The lightning carried destructive power, and the clouds were ethereal and seemingly nonexistent. The combination of these two elements created an unstoppable force.

Chen Tian's drill continued its descent towards the Yin Yang Wolf. The wolf, seeing the approaching attack, unleashed black and white energy from its eyes. Its black and white fur radiated a black and white aura that converged at its mouth. The wolf opened its maw and fired a black and white beam of light towards Chen Tian—a fusion of Yin and Yang, half black and half white, hurtling towards him. Chen Tian's drill spun at high speed, cutting the beam in half as it passed through, and continued its path forward.

The Yin Yang Wolf slowly projected a black and white shield in front of itself. The drill struck the shield, momentarily halting its progress. The wolf then swiped its claws, shattering the shield and unleashing a massive, razor-sharp black and white claw towards Chen Tian.

Seeing this, Chen Tian retreated. This was no joke; at the same cultivation level, aside from cultivators who focused on body refinement, no one dared to face a spirit beast's claw attack head-on. Their physical durability was twice that of a normal cultivator.

Chen Tian could only resist before because the Yin Yang Wolf hadn't used its full strength. With this last claw strike, Chen Tian could tell it was giving its all. If he were to take it head-on, he would at least be injured, if not severely.

Therefore, he decisively retreated. Chen Tian watched the Yin Yang Wolf, which stood on all fours, its eyes burning with killing intent.

Chen Tian clenched his fists, and a spiritual energy sword appeared. At this moment, Chen Tian had switched his spiritual seed to the Sword God spiritual seed, a level far superior to the Sword Dao spiritual seed—a top-tier spiritual seed.

However, Chen Tian was curious why both individuals from the Divine Realm and the cultivation world he encountered primarily focused on swordsmanship. Was being a swordsman that appealing?

Chen Tian actually preferred dual blades. But in the cultivation world, he needed to adapt to the origin of his other world to achieve integration. With his spiritual energy sword in hand, Chen Tian swung it, unleashing countless white spiritual energy blades towards the Yin Yang Wolf. The wolf, seeing the barrage of blades, roared, shattering them.

Chen Tian stepped forward, his sword appearing above the Yin Yang Wolf, and plunged downwards towards its head. The wolf leaped backward, the ground erupting. Chen Tian's spiritual energy sword embedded itself in the ground, creating a pit dozens of meters deep. Chen Tian pulled out his sword and jumped out of the pit. As he did, the Yin Yang Wolf spat countless black and white light orbs towards him, filling the sky like starlight.

Chen Tian's sword transformed into a spiritual energy longbow. He drew the string and loosed arrows, which flew with a whistling sound. A volley of spiritual energy arrows clashed with the sky full of light orbs. Chen Tian landed on the ground.

The Yin Yang Wolf, seeing Chen Tian evade its attacks repeatedly, grew impatient. It charged directly at Chen Tian. Chen Tian slowly drew his longbow, firing a few arrows, but the wolf's speed was too great. All his arrows missed, striking the ground.

Explosions rocked the ground as the Yin Yang Wolf reached Chen Tian, its claws poised to strike, as if it already saw Chen Tian crushed beneath them.

A smile crept onto Chen Tian's lips. His longbow instantly transformed into a spiritual energy crossbow. He raised his arm, aiming at the wolf's abdomen, and fired a concentrated beam of light that pierced its body and shot into the sky.

The wolf's claws were now mere 0.01 meters away. If Chen Tian had been a moment slower, he might have been crushed.

However, this was all within Chen Tian's calculations. He then stepped over the corpse and continued forward. But at that moment, a terrifying aura assaulted his senses. Chen Tian turned back and froze.

The Yin Yang Wolf, its body pierced, was healing. Its body doubled in size, and a second head grew from its head. The left head had black fur, while the right had white. Its body was split between black and white. Its claws became more formidable and sharp, its nails growing wildly.

Chen Tian cursed, looking at the creature. "Damn it, that last energy beam saturated its internal energy, triggering its evolution. It's now a Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf."

The Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf was an evolved form of the Yin Yang Wolf. Yin Yang Wolves were exceptionally unique spirit beasts, mastering the power of Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang were the forces of life and death, hence their moniker as the "guard dogs of hell."

Yin Yang Wolves were exceptionally rare and solitary creatures. Encountering one was a dream for many cultivators, who would spare no effort to capture it. However, for Chen Tian, the Yin Yang Wolf was merely a pet, not worth capturing.

The Yin Yang Wolf had only three evolutionary stages: Yin Yang Wolf, Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf, and Demonic Yin Yang Wolf.

Chen Tian looked at the Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf before him. It had reached its second form. This meant it would evolve into a Demonic Yin Yang Wolf with one more death. Chen Tian was troubled.

If it evolved into a Demonic Yin Yang Wolf, Chen Tian would be no match for it. The Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf was manageable; its cultivation level remained the same, only its strength, power, and abilities awakened.

Chen Tian could still contend with it. But if it evolved into a Demonic Yin Yang Wolf, he would truly stand no chance.

Chen Tian then spoke calmly, "I know you can understand me. Why don't you spare me? After all, I helped you evolve."

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

The Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf let out roars. Chen Tian's expression darkened. "Do you truly intend to do this? Don't think I'm afraid of you; I simply don't want things to become troublesome."

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

Chen Tian understood the Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf's meaning. It would not spare him. He had nearly killed it just now, and it saw him as food. It would never let him go.

Chen Tian remarked, "Beasts are just beasts, even with intelligence."

As if hearing his words, the Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf roared furiously.

Terrifying air currents and roars echoed. Chen Tian found the situation troublesome. He then stepped forward, and spiritual energy armor encased him. Looking at the Two-headed Yin Yang Wolf, which was larger than him, Chen Tian sighed. He genuinely didn't want to waste time, but if the creature persisted, Chen Tian wouldn't hesitate to end its life, even if it meant paying a price.
