Chapter 550: The Earthlings' Earthlie

Chen Tian and Tu Xue'er walked along the city streets. Chen Tian, however, was regarded with a peculiar gaze by the surrounding Earthlings. After all, this was a city where Earthlings lived, and Chen Tian was a human. It was natural for them to be cautious when a human appeared. Chen Tian paid it no mind. His objective was to escort Tu Xue'er back to her village. Once they passed through the city, they would reach their destination, and neither party would interfere with the other. Ultimately, they were not from the same world, so Chen Tian harbored little attachment. His help for Tu Xue'er was merely to learn more about this secret realm. He hadn't expected the battle with the Earth Scorpion Dragon Spider to consume so much time.

With less than two days remaining, once Tu Xue'er returned to her village, Chen Tian intended to visit the Era Land that the Earth Scorpion Dragon Spider had spoken of. Chen Tian was quite curious about that place; perhaps great fortunes awaited him there. Chen Tian had a premonition. Furthermore, Tu Xue'er had informed him of the direction of the human city. Chen Tian would first visit the human city to purchase a map.

Chen Tian and Tu Xue'er traversed the city's expanse. The city's style possessed a retro aesthetic. All the houses were constructed with soil-made tiles, appearing quite prosperous. Above the houses, streaks of light flashed past, as if the entire buildings were newly constructed. Tu Xue'er gazed at the surrounding city dwellings, exclaiming, "Big Brother, this place is so huge! Xue'er has never left the village before."

"Mm, this place is not bad. I'll go take a look over there. Be careful and don't stray too far from me."

"Okay, Chen Tian Big Brother, Xue'er understands."

Chen Tian nodded in affirmation. Indeed, this city was comparable to human cities. Tu Xue'er was still looking around. Having entered a city for the first time, she had only heard descriptions of urban life from the villagers. Now that she saw it for herself, a small sense of satisfaction bloomed in her heart. However, Tu Xue'er knew that after returning to the village this time, she wouldn't know when she could come out again.

Despite her regret, seeing the outside world had already satisfied her. As Tu Xue'er walked and observed, her eyes scanned her surroundings. With a bang, Tu Xue'er was knocked over, and an angry shout erupted, "Can't you watch where you're going?"

"So it's someone from the village, with no worldly experience. Hurry up and get out of the way!"

The person standing before Tu Xue'er was a short, stout individual. Earthlings were not tall, especially the males, who were only slightly taller than the legendary dwarves. The females, however, maintained their fair complexions. Tu Xue'er, unaccustomed to such a scene, was about to step aside. The moment she looked up, Tu Lie's eyes locked onto Tu Xue'er. He had never seen such a beautiful face. She hadn't fully matured yet; once she did, she would undoubtedly be a stunning Earthling beauty.

"Now, kneel and apologize, and I'll let you off."

Tu Lie leered at Tu Xue'er with a lascivious grin. Tu Xue'er was stunned. Stammering, she replied, "This, this, but, there's no need, young master. I just didn't see you, and it was I who was knocked down."

"Hmph? You're just a lowly peasant. Don't be ungrateful. Kneel and apologize, or you'll come with me today!"

"No, impossible! Grandfather said that no one in our clan kneels to anyone, except for the prophesied one."

Tu Xue'er stood her ground, her voice firm. Their clan had a rule that no one would kneel to anyone, not even heaven, nor the heavenly dao. Only the prophesied one of legend could command such an act.

"You won't kneel? Fine, then I'll make you kneel. I'll take you home and dote on you properly."

Tu Lie attacked directly, reaching out with both hands towards Tu Xue'er. Suddenly, a figure gripped Tu Lie's arm. Tu Lie felt his arm unable to advance further, as if something was holding it in place. Tu Lie turned to look at Chen Tian, who asked calmly, "What do you intend to do to my friend?"

"Kid, you've got some nerve. You dare to stop me, Tu Lie?"

"Fighting is forbidden in the city. Don't you understand the rules?" Chen Tian taunted.

Tu Lie seemed unfazed. He then reprimanded, "Those are the rules for you humans. When Earthlings fight Earthlings, it's not a violation. Human, I advise you not to meddle. Be careful, you might disappear in this city without a trace. You won't be able to leave."

"A threat? I, Chen Tian, am not afraid of threats."

Killing intent erupted from Chen Tian's entire being, accompanied by a menacing aura. With a flick of his palm, he sent Tu Lie's arm flying. Chen Tian said indifferently, "Scram!"

Chen Tian glanced at Tu Lie. With that casual wave of Chen Tian's hand, Tu Lie was sent flying, landing awkwardly on the ground. As Chen Tian's gaze fell upon him, Tu Lie found himself encased in ice, his body growing intensely cold. What kind of gaze was that? It sent him into a chilling abyss of impending death. Tu Lie felt it was only a moment. Chen Tian had given him a warning. If Tu Lie proved to be foolish, Chen Tian wouldn't hesitate to make him disappear from this world.

Chen Tian approached Tu Xue'er, extended his arm, and pulled her up. He asked, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Chen Tian. Thank you."

"No need to thank me. Let's go. I've seen enough of this place; it holds no interest for me."

Chen Tian appeared indifferent. The peculiar architecture of this city had piqued his curiosity somewhat, but otherwise, he found the Earthling city comparable to ancient times, with nothing to truly capture his attention.

Chen Tian and Tu Xue'er walked hand in hand towards the rear of the city. Tu Lie, regaining his senses, glared with a ferocious and icy expression, his eyes filled with rage. He vowed to make this human pay.

"It seems they are heading towards the mountain range. It's a good opportunity for me to go back and gather my family's subordinates. I don't believe you can survive the mountain range when you face our entire clan."

Tu Lie was unwilling to let go of Tu Xue'er, this captivating beauty. She hadn't fully matured yet; once she did, wouldn't she be a stunner? Such a person must be kept by his side.

If Chen Tian knew Tu Lie's thoughts, he would have undoubtedly given him a middle finger. It must be said, the Earthlings' taste in beauties was truly unique. Tu Xue'er looked rather ordinary, yet to the male Earthlings, she was a beauty. The Earthlings' belief was that the more ordinary one appeared, the more beautiful they were; the more ordinary, the more handsome.

Chen Tian learned this from Tu Xue'er. It had to be said that the entire Earthling race's aesthetic sense was terribly flawed. Wouldn't that mean that the more beautiful or handsome an Earthling was, the uglier they would be, and no one would like them?

Chen Tian was overthinking it. Regardless of how the Earthlings reproduced, their appearances would only ever be at an ordinary level. However, it was precisely this ordinariness that they preferred.

At the mountain range behind the city, Chen Tian and Tu Xue'er arrived. Tu Xue'er joyfully exclaimed, "Big Brother, at the heart of the mountain range is our village! Our village has never emerged or sent people out. I am the first. Of course, I only wanted to see what the outside world and the city looked like."

"Don't wander off recklessly next time."

Chen Tian patted Tu Xue'er's head. Tu Xue'er playfully stuck out her tongue in a mischievous gesture. Chen Tian sighed softly. This mountain range was vast, and it would take time for Chen Tian to reach the central area.
