Chapter 737 The Starry World

Long Kelin decisively chose his sister over his family. His sister's safety was paramount. Chen Tian asked, "Where does your Dragonfolk reside?"

"The Star Brilliance World. We Dragonfolk hail from," Long Kelin said, cutting short his explanation. "Let's head to the passage first, and I'll tell you more along the way."

Chen Tian didn't answer Long Kelin's panicked demeanor and followed him to the entrance of the connecting passage. The Dark Realm connected all worlds, so traveling to the Star Brilliance World was simple for Chen Tian. However, there was something Chen Tian hadn't mentioned: the Death Black Syndrome didn't only affect Long Kelin's sister. If it was indeed contracted in their ancestral land as Long Kelin claimed, the Dragonfolk's situation likely wasn't good. Even if the syndrome hadn't fully manifested, their bodies would continue to deteriorate.

Chen Tian followed Long Kelin's figure to the passage. This was the path to the Star Brilliance World. On their way, Chen Tian had learned about this world. Most beings in the Star Brilliance World were demi-humans. There were no pure humans. Races like the Dragonfolk were numerous, all beings born from the fusion of human and other races' bloodlines. The Dragonfolk were the result of a combination of dragon and human bloodlines. In the Star Brilliance World, the Dragonfolk were not among the most powerful races.

There were many races in the Star Brilliance World that could contend with the Dragonfolk. The Star Brilliance World was a realm inhabited by demi-humans, whose bloodlines were half human and half from other beings. Pure humans did not exist in that world. Long Kelin himself didn't know why, but they had never encountered a pure human.

But how did demi-humans originate if there were no humans? To give birth to demi-humans, one needed a powerful human bloodline to procreate with another being, and their origins and bloodlines couldn't be too dissimilar, or it would be impossible to birth demi-human offspring. Chen Tian sensed the strangeness of the Star Brilliance World, as if there were a secret behind it all.

Long Kelin arrived at the passage and stepped in. "Chen Tian, I'll wait for you on the other side," he said.

As Long Kelin and Jian Guang stepped into the passage, Chen Tian was about to follow when the entire passage suddenly emanated a black light, repelling him. Chen Tian had never encountered such a situation.

Chen Tian asked the system, "System, what's happening?"

"Ding, because the host arrived in the Dark Realm with the system's power, you are considered a stowaway. To enter other worlds, you need to force your way through, or there must be an item related to the host in the other world."

"Otherwise, the host will be unable to enter any world, and the passage will reject you."

"Stowaway!"

This was the first time Chen Tian had heard this term. But considering he was still on the Dark Realm's heavenly dao's blacklist, he was indeed a stowaway. Chen Tian asked the system, "Is there any way, System?"

"Reply, Host, there is a way, but it is a bit dangerous. Would you like to use it?"

"Tell me how dangerous it is first?"

A method that the system considered dangerous made Chen Tian extremely cautious, as the system would not lie to him. The system stated calmly, "This system can forcibly open the passage, but the passage will only remain open for thirty seconds. The host must traverse the entire passage within these thirty seconds. Secondly, the arrival location is random. This system cannot determine where the host will appear."

Chen Tian continued to inquire, "What if I don't finish traversing within thirty seconds?"

"The host will be trapped in the tunnel and will never be able to escape."

Hearing this, Chen Tian nodded. Given his maximum speed, thirty seconds should be enough to traverse the entire tunnel.

Chen Tian nodded, and the system's voice sounded. A peculiar power emanated from Chen Tian's body. Chen Tian had a reason to go to the Star Brilliance World; it was a necessary destination. Chen Tian had a feeling that there was a secret behind the Star Brilliance World, a secret related to him. It was this strong feeling that Chen Tian would not give up.

A peculiar aura entered the tunnel. The tunnel slowly opened, but only a small gap. Chen Tian's mouth twitched when he saw this. So, the system wasn't omnipotent; the passage could only open such a small area. Chen Tian hurried into the tunnel.

It then slowly closed. Inside the tunnel, a beam of light shot towards the other end at an astonishing speed. With only thirty seconds, Chen Tian didn't want to be trapped in the passage. He calculated the time, and with every passing second, Chen Tian finally flew out of the tunnel at the last second.

The Star Brilliance World. Above a sea of stars, on the turbulent surface of the sea, Chen Tian stood in the sky. Below was a sea formed by stars, dotted with starlight, giving the entire ocean a unique charm. Chen Tian looked at the vast ocean around him. Why was it always like this? The random locations were always places without cities. Now, Chen Tian didn't know where to find Long Kelin and the others.

Chen Tian released his senses but found no clues in the vast ocean, as if the entire sea was just the sea.

Chen Tian flew over the sea for a full day without finding a way to leave it, as if the sea had no exit or end. Chen Tian carefully observed the sea surface, believing there must be a way out. However, Chen Tian's thinking was flawed. He changed his approach: if the exit wasn't on the sea surface, was it underwater? Chen Tian hadn't gone to investigate the seabed yet. He released his senses, but they couldn't detect anything even slightly below the seabed.

The entire seabed was like a black hole. No matter how powerful Chen Tian's senses were, they would be completely swallowed. Chen Tian finally found a crucial piece of information and plunged into the seabed. With a splash, Chen Tian entered the seabed, a starry seabed. Chen Tian swam in the ocean, surrounded by peculiar creatures. Chen Tian's presence didn't attract these beings, as Chen Tian's abilities were still there. As long as Chen Tian didn't intentionally reveal his aura, no being could detect his presence.

Boom!

A series of explosions sounded. Chen Tian looked towards the southeast, where there were energy fluctuations and even water converging at one end. Chen Tian saw this commotion and assumed someone was fighting, and perhaps someone knew how to leave this place.

Chen Tian swam towards the direction of the fight. In the southeast, a group of demi-humans had surrounded another demi-human. These demi-humans had crab-like legs, eight in total, and scorpion claws for hands. The rest of their appearance was human-like.

These were the Crabfolk, beings born from the fusion of crab and human bloodlines. The demi-human surrounded was a mermaid with a human upper body and a fish tail.

The mermaid glared at the Crabfolk surrounding her and shouted, "Aren't you afraid of my father's wrath?"

"Burying you here, who would know? Moreover, your mermaid flesh is a great tonic for us. You can only blame yourself for being reckless."

A young Crabfolk grinned sinisterly, his terrifying appearance making the mermaid tremble with fear.
