Chapter 322: Real Special Training

Chapter 322: 322: Real Special Training

The meditating Mu Qiuniang seemed to sense something, and she slightly furrowed her brow.

Her gaze fell on the sleeping Jiang Nuo. Looking at his peacefully sleeping face, she couldn’t help but relax her brow again, closed her eyes, and continued her cultivation.

Since the goal was to special-train Jiang Nuo’s reflexes, Gong Leitian thought there was no place more suitable than the military.

And it had to be special training with the SWAT team.

As for whether the SWAT team would welcome this top-tier celebrity parachuting in, well, that was his own business. In any case, he had already given instructions: "Once he’s in your unit, he’s your soldier. Train him however you need to. If there’s no progress in three weeks, then your entire unit might as well go back and start over!"

Gong Leitian’s cold aura made the SWAT team captain feel a chill down his spine.

Damn!

Have they thrown a deity in here? Moreover, they have to serve this deity well.

At that time, the SWAT team captain still didn’t know who was coming. When he finally saw who it was, he almost cursed his fate.

What the hell is that brat Gong Leitian trying to do to him?! Even throwing a celebrity into the SWAT team, does he have a death wish?!

Without speaking up, he let his deputy welcome Jiang Nuo and immediately called Gong Leitian as soon as he stepped out: "What do you mean by this? Why did you send a big star to our unit? Do you think our place is some celebrity sanctuary?"

On the other end of the line, Gong Leitian was already back in his office: "You’re overthinking!"

"Overthinking? What’s with that big star? Don’t tell me you don’t watch TV. Even though I don’t watch TV much, I know that he’s a huge international star, a pretty famous celebrity. Can someone like him join our unit? If he just wants to experience life, you can throw him into any random unit. How could you throw him into our unit? Do you even know what our unit does?"

"I threw him into your unit precisely because I know what your unit does. Alright, to be honest, he’s someone the country is keeping a close eye on, with some special abilities but lacking any combat experience. So, I sent him to you to train him properly."

"Bullshit!" The SWAT team captain cursed, "Don’t think I don’t know that the people in your department, each of them, didn’t have real combat experience when they started too, right? How come you didn’t give them a special training then?"

"How do you know I didn’t? It’s just that those people didn’t need you to personally lift a finger. But this one is extremely important."

"Then tell me, which one isn’t important?"

"Everyone except me is important."

"You’re just full of it. Next time you throw some random person over, I won’t let you off!"

"No problem, I can brawl with you anytime."

"Don’t use any of your weird abilities then."

"Fine, Captain, make sure to host him well. A little hardship is okay, as long as he’s fine, train him to learn the most as quickly as possible." Gong Leitian definitely wouldn’t admit he bore a grudge. After all, that man was the partner of his martial arts master’s uncle’s apprentice.

If he can’t even handle this bit of hardship, he should leave early!

"You’re really going in hard. He’s an international celebrity, obviously pampered. Are you sure he won’t have any issues with my intense training?"

"You’ll know when you try. His physical fitness isn’t something ordinary people can match. Without intensified training, you won’t be able to test his limits. As I said, keep him safe, and make sure he learns the skills."

"Your demands are pretty high! Hmph!" The SWAT team captain hung up the phone and returned to the previous reception room.

In the reception room, Jiang Nuo was already chatting with his deputy. He knew that considering his status, it was impossible for no one in the unit to recognize him. Even if not everyone knew him, once one person did, everyone would know.

Therefore, he directly told the person the purpose of his visit was to gain practical combat experience.

"Why is a big star like you learning this stuff? If it’s for a movie, you could just go to any unit to experience life," the deputy, who also recognized Jiang Nuo, advised.

He really couldn’t imagine how this delicate man in front of him could endure the hardships of military training!

"I’m not here for a movie. Though I can’t reveal my true purpose, I can assure you that as long as I can learn the skills, no amount of hardship is too great for me."

Jiang Nuo’s determination was unwavering. If he couldn’t endure even this, how could he spend his life with Mu Qiuniang in the future?

He couldn’t live under Mu Qiuniang’s protection forever. Although he never claimed to be as strong as Mu Qiuniang, what he minded the most was being the burden whenever they faced enemies!

It couldn’t be that one day, when he’s captured by a powerful enemy and Mu Qiuniang gets hurt or sacrifices herself to save him, would he finally realize this?

He didn’t want to be like the weak female lead in TV dramas, always waiting for the hero to save her, only for the hero to be late once, and the lead dies; or the hero dies to save the lead.

He wanted to accompany Mu Qiuniang for a lifetime, not be her burden for a lifetime.

When the SWAT team captain entered, he heard Jiang Nuo say: "Alright, if you have the confidence, we will accept you!"

Actually, it was because Gong Leitian had spoken, and the higher-ups agreed. Even if he didn’t want to agree, he had no choice. They couldn’t just toss someone into the unit and let the veterans train him while he, the leader, ignored it, right?

If something happened, who would be responsible?

Since Gong Leitian had spoken, saying that as long as he learned the skills and stayed safe, he could be trained however they wanted, and Jiang Nuo himself had echoed the same sentiments, what was there to hesitate about?

Train him, of course!

On the first day, because they weren’t yet clear about Jiang Nuo’s condition, and to let him adapt to the SWAT team’s regimen, the SWAT team captain personally took him to the training field, to let him observe and familiarize himself.

Being a SWAT unit, their training was naturally more intense than ordinary units, and the content of the training was quite different.

After the introduction, they conducted a physical fitness test with Jiang Nuo that afternoon to determine his limits and begin training accordingly. They didn’t want him passing out halfway, which would be troublesome.

"Jiang Nuo, let’s start with a physical fitness test to understand your condition. Then we’ll make some adjustments based on your performance."

Even though Gong Leitian said he could be trained however they liked, they couldn’t just train him randomly, could they?

The physical fitness test had ten items:

1. Push-ups: Proper form, 35 continuous reps in 2 minutes;

2. Sit-ups: Proper form, 35 continuous reps in 3 minutes;

3. Pull-ups on a horizontal bar: Proper form, 6 continuous reps;

4. Dips on parallel bars: Proper form, 8 continuous reps; single-leg squats: Proper form, 5 continuous reps;

...

7. 100-meter sprint: Complete within 15.20 seconds;

8. 3000-meter run: 14 minutes;

9. 5000-meter run: Complete within 23 minutes;

10. Combination exercise: Within 1 minute and 30 seconds, continuously complete 10 push-up leg folds, 2 sets of 5 meters back and forth sprint, 5 push-ups, 10 meters frog jumps, 25 meters snaking run, return 35 meters straight run.
