Chapter 577: eel
Su Yinhe really didn’t like eel much, she felt it was snake-like and slimy.
"I don’t know either, but I just ended up liking it." Lin Murong said, popping another green bean cake into his mouth.
Su Yinhe was engrossed in her drama and didn’t realize that Chi Yan was thinking all sorts of strange things to himself.
Chi Yan fed her a piece, then ate one himself, fortunate that Lin Murong wasn’t around at the moment, or he would’ve cried out "dog abuse" again.
His timing was just perfect, as Su Yinhe finished her show, the fruit was also just finished.
Everything was just so perfect.
He had always been quite good with timing.
"Is it good?" Chi Yan asked her.
Su Yinhe still had the last piece of watermelon in her mouth.
She chewed it, the watermelon was very sweet, juicy and delicious. "It’s good."
"Do you like it?" he asked again.
"I like it, of course I like it. How could I possibly not like it?"
"Then, I’ll make you another one next time. Or, I can go now and make a few more, then store them in the space. Whenever you want to eat, you can just take them out..."
"No need, no need, you... don’t have to make so much. Don’t overwork yourself. I would feel very bad."
"It’s not hard work, just cutting fruit, how could it be hard work." Chi Yan stroked her head.
"I know, it’s just... I’m worried about you," Su Yinhe said coquettishly.
Chi Yan’s gaze at her deepened.
"Okay, thank you. I really... like you a lot." He always found her so endearing, how could he not like her. His affection for her grew more and more.
He really wanted, so much, to lock her away.
Just for him to see.
No one else allowed.
She was his alone.
But, he couldn’t do that, she would be unhappy.
He didn’t want her to be unhappy, he wanted her to do whatever she wanted, to be happy.
"Ah... why... suddenly saying your feelings again, it’s really embarrassing," Su Yinhe touched her face, she felt it burning up.
Really now.
"I don’t know. Maybe it’s..." he liked her too much.
Because he liked her too much, he always struggled to hold back, the love was hard to restrain.
"Okay, okay, I get it, I know what you’re going to say. Don’t say it." She... felt embarrassed. Really embarrassed.
Chi Yan watched her, chuckled softly.
"Okay, as you wish."
Lin Murong was wandering around, and eventually, he wandered over.
Luckily, his timing was also decent, he didn’t stumble upon them.
Only, it was a close call.
"Yo, Galaxy, you’re really enjoying yourself, aren’t you? With dramas, snacks, milk tea, and a man. If I’m not mistaken, there’s also an emptied fruit platter." Lin Murong said, glancing at Chi Yan.
His last sentence was really rather obvious with its sarcastic tone.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"Hehe, it’s all good. After all, I’m the boss, aren’t I? If I don’t enjoy, who will?" Su Yinhe raised an eyebrow at him.
Lin Murong: "..."
That’s... correct?
"Hmm... what are you doing?" Su Yinhe, unable to hold back, asked, seeing Lin Murong behaving oddly.
Lin Murong was actually...
Smelling the plate.
Yes, the plate that held the fruit.
It smelled that good?
What a bizarre hobby.
"Me? I didn’t get to eat any, so I can’t even smell it?" Lin Murong sounded rather aggrieved.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Okay, there’s another story she doesn’t know about.
Su Yinhe looked at Chi Yan.
What had happened between these two?
"Nothing, his head’s not right." Although Su Yinhe didn’t speak, he knew what she wanted to say; her look said it all.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Hmm, it’s confirmed, both are not quite normal.
In such a big supermarket, she seems to be the only normal person around.
They’re all abnormal.
Only she is the most normal.
"You’re the abnormal one! Brother Chi, you’re indiscriminately slandering people!" Lin Murong got angry. He didn’t mind not getting any fruit plate, but to be slandered by Chi Yan on top of that was too much.
Over the top.
"Whether it’s slander or not... you know better," Chi Yan said expressionlessly.
Lin Murong: "..."
It seemed... it really wasn’t slander.
But...
His reasoning might be weak, but he stood his ground defiantly.
Doesn’t matter.
"No, it is slander, you apologize! Otherwise, I will... I will..." Lin Murong kept repeating "I will" for a long time but couldn’t finish his threat.
"Heh. Take your time," Chi Yan said dismissively.
"Hey! Galaxy! You take care of this," Lin Murong, having no way to deal with Brother Chi, turned to Su Yinhe for help.
Su Yinhe: "..." She didn’t have a way to deal with it either.
She definitely couldn’t... confront Brother Chi directly. Besides, she didn’t want to confront him.
Su Yinhe’s eyes darted around, deciding to target Lin Murong instead.
"Lin Murong, do you want to eat fries?"
Lin Murong: "??? Sure..." When Lin Murong said this, he was somewhat apprehensive.
It wasn’t because he was full and couldn’t eat any more—he was a fast eater and digested quickly.
He could eat again very soon.
It was just that the way Su Yinhe asked this question sounded so ominous no matter how he heard it.
"Then go peel some potatoes. After you’re done, I’ll make you fries," Su Yinhe gave him a heart gesture.
Lin Murong: "???"
"You’re going to make them yourself?!!!" Lin Murong let out a sharp cry of disbelief.
"Yeah, touched, aren’t you?" Su Yinhe winked at him.
"Touched, so touched, truly touched," Lin Murong said fearfully, "But, I really can do without them." It wasn’t that he didn’t want to peel potatoes; he was just a bit afraid.
"Not eat? Why not eat? What right do you have not to eat? Eat! You must eat for me! How can you not eat? I’m personally making fries for you, and you dare say you don’t want to eat?" Su Yinhe’s look was quite unpleasant.
"But... I couldn’t possibly trouble our boss to personally do such a menial task. I’ll take care of this small matter myself. And I’m not that fond of fries," he said, for he never really liked them.
Lin Murong felt like sobbing.
"No way, you’ve started to love them now. Wait for me to make them." Su Yinhe patted his shoulder.
"Ah... okay then." Lin Murong’s face fell as he had a bad premonition.
"Good boy. Go peel them," Su Yinhe gave him another heart gesture.
Lin Murong: "..."
Damn it.
He really didn’t want fries anymore.
But Su Yinhe was forcing him to want them.
That damned...
And he couldn’t even resist.
Lin Murong obediently went to peel the potatoes.
Su Yinhe felt quite smart for having defused an argument without making a sound.
However, after sending Lin Murong off to peel potatoes, she had forgotten about Chi Yan.
Once Lin Murong left, Chi Yan became discontent.
"You’re making fries for him?"
"Ah, yeah. What about it?"
"I don’t agree," Chi Yan became clearly upset.
"Why not? It’s just fries."
"You’ve never made them for me. You made them first for him," Chi Yan reiterated his displeasure.
"Ah, but... well... you... don’t like this kind of food, right?" This kind of food, the deep-fried stuff, was Chi Yan’s least favorite.
"It’s not that I don’t like it, but these are made by you." Anything made by Galaxy was his favorite.
"You... cough cough cough." Su Yinhe started to feel embarrassed.
"So... once they’re ready, you eat first, and Lin Murong can have the leftovers," Su Yinhe proposed a solution.
Chi Yan still wasn’t quite satisfied.
