Chapter 42 Departure, The Elven Kingdom!

"Not just three, there's me too."

From above, Nash raised his hand timidly. He glanced at the elf beside him, then gathered his courage, leaped down from the ground, and landed beside Xu Mu. The four stood together, not one after another.

Wind Elf King Xilfer, seeing this scene before him, felt an unprecedented headache. He couldn't understand how these four individuals had come together and managed to coexist peacefully.

"Senior, excuse me, are you... an elf?" Regardless of what the other party was thinking, Xu Mu was somewhat excited. His eyes brightened as he asked Xilfer, "Are you an elf?"

"Not just an elf, but an Elf King," Nash reminded him in a low voice.

"So amazing," Xu Mu's eyes shone even brighter upon hearing this. Now he wouldn't have to worry about not finding the Elven Kingdom!

Nash's expression turned slightly bitter. He couldn't help but press a hand to his forehead. He told Xu Mu that this person was the Elf King, implying that Xu Mu should pay his respects. What was the meaning of praising him?

"Haha." Xilfer chuckled. He hadn't expected the human before him to react this way upon seeing him.

"Lad, what is your status?" the Wind Elf King asked Xu Mu with a smile.

"Human," Xu Mu replied naturally, not finding anything inappropriate.

"I mean, your... identity," Xilfer's tone sharpened slightly, and he pointed to the rock crevice where a trace of darkness still lingered. "It's what Weiga mentioned, your identity."

The man's expression was profound, because Weiga had previously threatened him with Xu Mu's life, which was why his arrow had missed.

"Ah, that..." Xu Mu suddenly didn't know how to answer.

"Have you heard of the Demon Exorcism Division?" Xu Mu asked.

"No," Xilfer shook his head and then suddenly remembered something, asking, "How does it compare to Baiyun Taoist Temple?"

"It should be... stronger than Baiyun Taoist Temple," Xu Mu replied honestly, scratching his head. At least that was how it appeared on the surface, referring to Baiyun Taoist Temple's strength.

"Then that is indeed remarkable," Xilfer clicked his tongue, his gaze towards Xu Mu shifting slightly.

"You don't need to be nervous. Our Wind Elf tribe has always been a faction that seeks peace regarding humans. Even during the great war between the three races back then, we only participated symbolically."

Xilfer spoke softly, then shifted his gaze to Suna.

"This young lady is a bit troublesome."

"Whether human or demon, it's of little consequence to our tribe. However, the black mages are enemies of the entire elf race."

Xu Mu understood his meaning. He pondered for a moment, then gently patted Suna's shoulder and said, "Senior, I understand your reasoning, but she is also a victim of Weiga's scheme."

"I believe Nash has already told you about the situation. She contributed significantly in this battle. Without her, I wouldn't have been able to deal with that thing."

Upon hearing this and recalling the extremely powerful dark magic energy he had sensed moments ago, Xilfer gave Xu Mu a deep look.

"You did indeed do well. If that thing were to fall into Weiga's control, it would be a disaster for the entire elf race." Xilfer seemed hesitant but finally conceded, "I can let her go."

"Thank you, Senior," Xu Mu and Suna said in unison, cupping their hands.

"Don't celebrate too early. Letting her go means our Wind Elf tribe will not interfere with this matter."

Xilfer looked at Suna and said calmly, "As for how to leave Alfheim, or how to escape the capture of other elves, that is your own concern."

Suna, who had been prepared for this, gave a somewhat sorrowful smile. "It's already beyond my expectations that you wouldn't kill me."

"Well, the matter has come to this, so be it. I don't go back on my word," Xilfer looked at Nash and then said, "The Dark Elf tribe, if they don't show up later, I can have someone send you back there. But you need to think clearly. They are not friendly to humans. Elves who have secretly associated with humans have been executed."

Nash's heart trembled fiercely at this, but he gritted his teeth and said, "It's alright. Even if my father is dead, I must see his ashes!"

"Alright, for the sake of this matter with Weiga, they shouldn't do anything to you. But you should still be careful about your safety." Xilfer then turned his gaze back to Xu Mu, "Young man who destroyed a powerful dark mage, can you leave Alfheim on your own?"

"If you can't, I'll send you out now."

"I don't want to leave," Xu Mu said calmly, shaking his head. "I want to go to the kingdom that belongs to you elves."

Xilfer's expression remained unchanged, as if he had expected Xu Mu's answer. He said in a gentle tone, "I know what you humans want to do in the Elven Kingdom, but we elves haven't even seen that sacred relic ourselves, so how could you possibly find it?"

"My luck is quite good, I should be able to find it," Xu Mu said earnestly.

Xilfer looked helplessly at another Wind Elf beside him. The latter stepped forward and said unpleasantly, "Human, don't you understand His Majesty's meaning? He doesn't welcome you to our world!"

"You can't say that." Xilfer pretended to be displeased and stopped the other elf. Then he said to Xu Mu, "I am considering your safety. The Elven Kingdom is home to all the elf tribes."

"As I said earlier, our Wind Elf tribe is friendly to you humans, but other tribes are different. For example, the Frost and Fire Elf tribes hate you humans. If they see you in the Elven Kingdom..."

Xilfer trailed off, his meaning self-evident.

Xu Mu scratched his head hesitantly upon hearing this, but soon gave his answer: "Senior, I still want to go."

"The path of cultivation is always fraught with danger. I cannot give up opportunities out of fear."

The elf beside Xilfer was about to retort angrily when Xilfer himself agreed.

"Alright, if you truly wish to go, I can help you and grant you protection as a guest of our Wind Elf tribe, but I have one request."

"What is it?" Xu Mu asked.

"In a while, the elf race may very well re-emerge," Xilfer said, his gentle expression gone, replaced by a solemn authority.

"This matter is of utmost importance to the entire Elven Kingdom, but our opinions are divided. Some elves believe that the emergence of the Elven Kingdom will inevitably lead to friction with the dwarves and humans, and war is imminent."

"Others believe the future is bright, such as our Wind Elf tribe. Of course, more elves are in a wait-and-see state."

Xilfer paused, then said earnestly, "Since this matter will involve you humans, your attitude towards it is very important. I hope that after you return, you will act as our envoy, convey goodwill to the human high command, and reject war."

Xu Mu nodded seriously upon hearing this. "Don't worry, Your Majesty. I will do my best to fulfill your request."

"However, please don't place too much importance on my status. Although I know some powerful individuals, I am not among the highest decision-makers."

"At your age, to be able to deal with such an existence, there's no need for you to be so modest." Xilfer smiled and then sighed, "War always has only losers. I hope you will keep this in mind."

"Don't worry, Senior. I will do my utmost. As long as there are no fundamental conflicts, I will definitely try my best to dissuade the human race from going to war!" Xu Mu said, cupping his hands.

"Haha, good. Since you say so, I am at ease." Xilfer patted Xu Mu's shoulder, and then they all rode the wind together, speeding towards the Elven Kingdom.

However, halfway there, they encountered the Dark Elf tribe, who were rushing to kill Weiga.

"Weiga has escaped. You are too late," Xilfer said calmly, speaking from a distance towards the black and green mist.

"Is that so?" A clear, cold female voice emanated from within. Then, a small, dark-robed female night elf, holding a scepter but appearing delicate and elegant, revealed her true form.

"Mixed-blood over there, come here," she beckoned to Nash with a finger, speaking indifferently.
