Chapter 56: Seeing Him Entangled with Someone Else

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Seeing Him Entangled with Someone Else

In the car, Jasper Sinclair looked at the woman trying to get into the back seat with disgust.

"Get out." His voice was cold, devoid of any emotion.

Wendy Bell bit her lower lip, enduring the scolding, and just as she closed the car door and was about to get into the passenger seat.

She didn’t expect that as soon as she closed the car door, the car drove off directly.

Ignoring her cries as she chased after the car on the street, she was almost turning into a laughing stock.

"Damn!" It was rumored that Jasper Sinclair never showed any compassion, but she didn’t expect him to be this excessive.

Limping towards the bus stop, it didn’t matter; she’d swallow this bitterness for now and would have more opportunities later!

Jasper Sinclair dialed Finn Linden’s number: "What’s going on with Wendy Bell?"

His tone was somewhat impatient, just shy of directly scolding Finn Linden.

"How should I know? I’m not a parasite in her stomach. What, did she try to scam you?"

Finn Linden was still not sober, but upon hearing that Wendy Bell had targeted his friend, he instantly became alert.

The other party’s words were unreliable, and Jasper Sinclair could almost grit his teeth to pieces.

"Forget it, I’ll handle it myself. You just get that thing done."

He rubbed his temples, reluctantly admitting that Wendy Bell’s work ability was strong, but her lack of boundaries meant he wouldn’t keep her even if her work ability was good.

Through the rearview mirror, Louis Hayes had been wanting to mention something but didn’t know if he should.

"What’s going on? If you have something to say, just say it." Jasper Sinclair glared at him, his tone not pleasant.

"I think I just saw the chairman’s wife in the restaurant, and also Aaron Lowell whom you asked me to investigate last time." He hesitated to speak up.

"Hmm? They came here to eat?" Upon hearing Louis Hayes’ words, he suddenly became alert.

"No, no, there was another girl there, but when paying the bill, it seemed the chairman’s wife glanced in your direction..."

The meaning behind these words was clear, as if telling Jasper Sinclair that his identity might have been exposed.

Jasper Sinclair’s eyes subtly changed, and he waved his hand without speaking further.

She saw? That meant she saw the scene of him and Wendy Bell tugging at each other?

For some reason, he suddenly felt a little tense, unsure if she would be angry because of it.

Thinking of this, he abruptly shook off the thoughts in his head; what he really should be worried about was whether she would find out his true identity, especially since Aaron Lowell was present.

Returning to the company with a complex mind, his thoughts were scattered all day.

As a subordinate in his secretary department, Wendy Bell sat beside him during the meeting.

With peripheral vision, she noticed the president frequently picking up his phone, unsure who he was messaging.

Taking advantage of the president’s distraction, she saw a chat window with a note saying ’188,000’.

The avatar was a cute kitten, presumably his yet-to-be-met wife, 188,000? Quite cheap indeed.

She snickered softly, pretending to have noticed nothing, calmly continuing to record the meeting content beside him.

The entire day, Jasper Sinclair was distracted, and as he watched the time to get off work approach, he became increasingly tense.

Just as he was about to get up and go home, the reception called, saying the president of Oceanic Inc. was there to see him.

"Oceanic Inc.?" He frowned deeply; although he wasn’t fond of Aaron Lowell, since he had come, there was no harm in meeting: "Let him up."

Rubbing his temples, he sat on the single sofa.

Aaron Lowell followed Louis Hayes into the president’s office, and upon seeing him, his gaze held a playful glint.

"I didn’t know the illustrious President Sinclair had become a minor supervisor?"
