Chapter 48: Some Backbone, But Not Much

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Some Backbone, But Not Much

"How’s the rest of the investigation going?" No longer dwelling on the previous issue, he asked Louis Hayes about more progress on this matter.

"Hey, you wouldn’t believe it, there are actually some leads. But I bet once you see this, you’ll be just as furious as I am," Louis said angrily, then brought the computer over to show him.

The shock of this matter was beyond words, better let President Sinclair see it for himself.

Jasper Sinclair raised an eyebrow and glanced at him with some curiosity, taking the laptop with his large hand.

The more he looked, the tighter his eyebrows furrowed, so tight it could crush a fly.

"Christian Quinn?" He rubbed his chin and clicked his tongue a few times. What Lily Sloan said was indeed true; Scum Quinn, indeed. He hadn’t had the chance to teach them a lesson for the last incident, and now he’s courting death again: "Gather the evidence and find an appropriate time to post it online."

"Yes." Louis hastily nodded.

"Wait, I’ll contact Southwood Court to get the surveillance footage."

Jasper Sinclair decided to find decisive evidence to nail Christian Quinn, making sure he couldn’t even try to struggle. Insulting a woman was truly despicable!

Just like that, by that afternoon, Christian Quinn’s crimes were posted online.

Not only were there photos of him secretly taking pictures of Nora Northwood, but it was also exposed that he had been two-timing all along.

Well, now the Quinn Family’s small business, which had just started to thrive, was ruined by this one move from Christian Quinn.

"You idiot, couldn’t you have done something else instead of these shameful things!" Mr. Quinn paced back and forth anxiously, wanting to smack Christian Quinn a few times, but Mrs. Quinn kept shielding him, refusing to let him be hit.

"If you’re so capable, go find that bitch who framed your son. If it weren’t for her, none of this would’ve happened. Who knows how she latched onto the Sinclair Family this time. I say a scoundrel is always a scoundrel, they can never change!"

Mrs. Quinn didn’t realize it was Christian’s fault at all and kept defending her son.

On the other hand, Christian Quinn dared not utter a word, just stayed quietly by his mother’s side.

"Keep coddling him! Look at the state he’s in." Mr. Quinn rubbed his temples, feeling a series of discomforts in his heart: "What now? Stalking, secretly filming, spreading rumors, and misconduct in life... is there anything you’re afraid to do?"

"Just wait, tomorrow I’ll find that tramp; don’t think you’re invincible with the Sinclair Family backing you."

Mrs. Quinn couldn’t sit still after hearing this, and Mr. Quinn was furious to the point of laughter, coldly looking at her.

"You still have the nerve to confront them? Do you want our family to become even more notorious?" After catching his breath, he sat on the sofa, "Tomorrow, you’ll post an apology statement online, saying this was a moment of madness on your part. Then stay at home, nowhere else. I’ll handle the company affairs for you."

After all, he was his son; he couldn’t bear to speak too harshly.

He could only scold him a bit and then quietly clean up the mess for him.

But upon hearing he had to apologize to Nora Northwood, Christian Quinn was unwilling: "Why should I? I won’t apologize!"

"Why should you? Because you, this useless brat, can’t compete with the Sinclair Family! It’s obvious the Sinclair Family is protecting her now. Do you want to ruin the Quinn Family?"

Just one sentence extinguished Christian Quinn’s anger.

Bold, but not by much, Mr. Quinn covered his eyes and leaned back on the sofa, feeling out of sight, out of mind.

"I understand." Christian Quinn lowered his head in anger but cursed Nora Northwood in his heart, still thinking he must make that bitch pay.
