Chapter 249: Chapter 249: I Want to See the Sea
The next day.
When Jasper Sinclair woke up, he found his head buried in Nora Northwood’s neck.
He took a moment to react and then remembered drinking with Nora till late last night.
However, the way they were sleeping seemed a bit off.
Shouldn’t he be the one holding his wife in his arms? How did their positions get swapped?
No matter how hard Jasper thought, he couldn’t figure out it was Megan Underwood’s idea, the whole "men need to be cherished too."
He got up, tucked the blanket around Nora, and then slipped into the bathroom to freshen up, as the smell of alcohol was unbearable.
By the time he tidied up the living room mess, Nora had also opened her eyes.
Her hair was a bit in disarray, and her cheeks were still flushed, either from the heat or because she hadn’t sobered up.
"Hubby." She mumbled the words.
Jasper looked at her and felt that this simple term crashed right into his heart.
Even though they’d been together for a while, instances when Nora willingly changed her way of addressing him were rare.
This time, it wasn’t because of acting for someone else’s benefit, nor was it to ask for help.
Jasper moved closer, lifted his hand to hook around her neck, "Call me again."
Nora lowered her head and whispered it again like a mosquito buzz.
The man felt a certain string in his heart snap.
He lightly kissed her lips, and amidst shared breaths, he murmured, "Good girl, Nora."
"Are you going to work today?"
"No, staying home with the wife."
"It’s not fitting for the king to neglect his duties." Nora spoke contrary to her words, for when she asked the question, she already knew the answer she wanted.
Jasper’s deep eyes noticed her restraint, and after scanning the room, he smiled, "Does Nora want to be the ruin of the kingdom?"
"I don’t want that." Nora giggled and continued, "Let’s go see the sea."
"If Nora wants to see, we’ll go."
Both of them were typically steady individuals, rarely did they make spontaneous decisions.
After a brief discussion, they both decided to go to Palm Cove, and Nora booked the earliest flight, departing at four in the afternoon.
Planned for a week’s trip, while packing, Jasper said generously, "No need to bring much, the company has developed tourist resources in Palm Cove; we’ll go straight to the hotel, and anything we need, they’ll have it prepared."
Hearing this, Nora raised her delicate eyebrows slightly, "The world of the wealthy is beyond my imagination."
"This money is all yours, and if you want more, I’ll keep earning."
"You’re the best, hubby."
Jasper rubbed his chin and said, "Say those words again at night."
As soon as he said it, Nora rolled her eyes, "Can’t behave even in the daytime."
"The wife is right, we can be even more mischievous at night."
Nora puffed her cheeks and stopped bickering with him, going to the bedroom to pack.
After a quick look, there wasn’t much she needed to bring, just a few personal items, two sets of clothes for each of them, anything else could be bought in Palm Cove.
After all, their President Sinclair is a big spender!
On the plane.
Nora sat by the window, marveling at the fluffy clouds.
She whispered to Jasper, "I’ve only flown once before, never in business class."
When she said it, she felt a bit embarrassed, but once said, it didn’t feel like much.
