Chapter 251: Chapter 251: The Flower Shop Smashed
On the third day of her vacation, Nora Northwood received a phone call from Lily Sloan.
"Nora, the studio has been vandalized."
Immediately, the enjoyment of the sea view vanished completely.
"Have you found out who did it?"
"Yvonne Winslow is checking the surveillance footage and asked me to notify you first."
When the call ended, Nora’s heart had sunk to the bottom. She said to Jasper Sinclair, "The incident happened suddenly, we should return to Stanton City."
"Alright, I’ll go with you to take a look."
Just like that, the two of them ended this trip to Palm Cove hurriedly.
During the two hours in the air, Nora contemplated countless possibilities.
"Don’t worry, think about whether there’s anything particularly important in the studio." Jasper Sinclair held her hand, his voice thick with reassurance.
Nora muttered, "It’s nothing more than some essential oils and data."
Fortunately, she had backup ingredient lists for every product model, allowing for replication.
With her phone on flight mode, she couldn’t receive any external messages, and could only wait anxiously, her ten fingers already entwined together.
Through the safety seat, Jasper Sinclair stretched out his long fingers and wrapped them around hers.
Nora turned her head, their eyes met, and her heart felt a twinge of sourness.
The long two hours ended, and the plane finally arrived at Stanton City Airport, where Louis Hayes was already waiting.
Once they exited the airport, they headed straight to VK.
Upon seeing VK’s devastation, Nora’s brow furrowed tightly, it was several degrees more terrifying than a robbery.
All the glass windows were smashed, flowers and potted plants in the hall had fallen to the ground, with dirt scattered everywhere.
Nora asked the question she cared about most, "Have you checked the perfumery room?"
"The perfumery room has its own lock, and it’s still intact," Megan Underwood replied.
"Did you find out who did it?"
When the topic was mentioned, everyone looked at each other, and finally, Lily Sloan revealed the answer: "Christian Quinn."
Nora was stunned, she was about to forget this person in the corners of her memory.
Even on the way back, she never thought it would be related to Christian Quinn.
Everyone was waiting for Nora’s solution, after all, besides being VK’s boss, she had another identity — Christian Quinn’s ex-girlfriend.
Nora’s method was simple and blunt: "Call the police."
It must be said, the police acted quickly, or perhaps someone intervened to speed things up.
By noon, Christian Quinn had already been taken into custody under the charge of "burglary."
When Nora went to see him, she asked why he did it.
Christian Quinn showed no signs of repentance, instead, he cursed her, "You bitch, sleeping with rich men is really something. You dare to kick me when I’m down, see if I don’t kill you!"
Kicking him when he’s down?
Nora didn’t understand what he meant.
Jasper Sinclair didn’t want Nora to interact with this madman too much, so he handed over the rest of the matter to the interrogator.
From Christian’s mouth, the interrogator learned that he had done everything to take revenge on Nora.
It turned out, Christian’s life had recently been full of setbacks, especially at work, where he’s been repeatedly frustrated, even demoted to the lowest level position at the company by his boss.
He couldn’t take such a fate and blamed everything on Nora.
He thought it was Nora using her wealthy husband to cause trouble, and in the middle of the night, out of spite, he smashed VK.
After learning the whole story, Nora almost laughed in anger, helplessly summarizing, "Christian’s heart is really dark."
