Chapter 90: Establishing Her Own Brand

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Establishing Her Own Brand

Nora was somewhat taken aback. They wanted her to talk about perfume blending?

For a moment, she was so nervous that she didn’t know what to do.

Yuna looked at this scene, her heart bubbling with envy.

If it weren’t for the master warning her that if she caused any more trouble she’d be expelled, she would never tolerate this Nora kid.

If she left the master’s gate, she would have no chance to be in contact with her senior brother.

She couldn’t be hasty. Previously, she had messed things up and knew she couldn’t rush to win over her senior brother.

"I know my experience is still shallow, I’m afraid I’ll disturb the master." Although it was a good opportunity, she hadn’t systematically studied the craft and was still half an outsider.

Elaine held her hand to comfort her, "It’s all right, everyone learns gradually."

With those words from the master, she finally calmed down a lot.

"Thank you, master." She took a deep breath and sat quietly on one side like a student ready to learn.

"Jade." The master nodded in satisfaction and then called Yuna over, "You can ask each other questions, anything about perfume is fine."

Although she wanted to train the girl, she needed to see just how capable she really was.

Yuna scoffed; comparing perfume skills with her, Nora was destined to lose badly.

With confidence full, she let Nora start the questioning.

"When tuberose and lily are mixed, there’s a scent suppression issue, and adjusting the amounts doesn’t change it. Is there a better method?"

The moment this question was asked, Yuna was stunned, while Elaine looked quite satisfied.

Yuna mumbled a few points, but Nora listened, frowning deeply.

It was Yuna’s turn, and she tried to flaunt her knowledge by asking some textbook questions.

Unexpectedly, Nora managed to answer. Although not precisely correct, it was close enough.

Back and forth they went, questioning each other from noon to afternoon, but Elaine noticed that their mindsets were entirely different.

Nora’s questions seemed more like she was seeking scholarly learning, while Jade was showing off her professional knowledge, which was mostly just from textbooks.

Elaine shook her head. Seeing it was getting late, she initially wanted to keep Nora for dinner, but seeing her decline, she didn’t insist.

After Nora left, she turned to Yuna with a serious look.

"Jade, you saw it, didn’t you? Perfume blending shouldn’t rely only on theoretical knowledge. Today, the questions Nora asked, you answered with rigid textbook stuff, as if you were answering an exam, but you haven’t actually practiced it."

"For Nora, these are things she has practically done."

"Today I had you question each other to show you that perfume blending shouldn’t be just theory."

In this field, no matter how much theoretical knowledge is said or how it sounds on paper, it’s useless without practice.

She thought Yuna would understand her well-intentioned efforts, but what she didn’t know was that at this moment, Yuna was filled with hatred.

She hated that Nora had taken away her senior brother and was now taking away the master’s affection.

"Jade understands." Outwardly, she couldn’t say much more, but she silently vowed to ensure Nora would regret it!

In the days that followed, the master had Nora come over every day, not noticing the shift in Yuna’s thoughts.

With every compliment Nora received from the master, Yuna grew more hateful.

Finally, when she heard the master mention that Nora should create her own brand, her resentment peaked.
