Chapter 92: Chapter 92: I Have to Learn to Solve Things Myself
Nora Northwood watched as the online rumors gradually fermented, feeling a bit bewildered.
The product she had created should not have had such issues; she had personally tested each one before selling them.
"Don’t panic, I’ll think of a solution." She knew it was someone’s deliberate scheme, but she lacked more substantial evidence at the moment.
Just then, Jasper Sinclair called her.
"Mr. Sinclair."
"I saw the news online, are you..."
He hesitated, unsure how to ask, though her tone suggested she was coping.
"I’m fine, just encountering this situation for the first time, still thinking about how to handle it." She spoke truthfully, giving a bitter smile and sighing helplessly.
"Do you need my help? I can help you investigate."
Jasper imagined her disappointed expression, and his heart instinctively tightened.
Confident that he could clear up the matter, he made the offer, but was immediately declined.
"No need, I might face even bigger problems than this in the future. I have to learn to solve them myself, thank you." Nora softened her stance.
She felt grateful for Mr. Sinclair’s willingness to help her.
But this was something she needed to confront.
Jasper wanted to say more, but hesitated and ultimately offered a dry "Alright."
After hanging up, Louis Hayes scratched his head, watching the slightly displeased President Sinclair: "President Sinclair, should we continue investigating?"
"Yes, investigate." He ordered coldly.
No matter what, he needed to know who was behind this.
Just then, there was a knock on the office door. He massaged his temples, adjusted his mood, and allowed the person to enter.
Seeing Wendy Bell walk in, his expression instantly darkened: "What is it?"
His tone was distant and indifferent, but she seemed unfazed as she approached.
"There’s a document requiring your review, and as Secretary Hayes was not outside, I brought it to you personally."
She spoke businesslike, showing no inappropriate behavior in the office.
Jasper took the document in hand, glanced at it briefly, and raised his hand to sign it before signaling her to leave.
She walked to the office door and bent down to pick up the document.
The unique fragrance wafted to his nose, causing him to frown slightly and lean back uncomfortably.
By doing so, he saw the woman in front of him deliberately posing seductively.
"This is an office, mind your behavior." He said, face darkened.
He turned away in displeasure, unwilling to spare Wendy Bell another look.
She had purposely dressed in clothes that flattered her figure and wore a scent that men liked. Wendy initially thought he’d react like other men.
She had never failed before, but unexpectedly stumbled over Jasper Sinclair.
William Bell was urging more insistently from his end, yet Jasper seemed completely uninterested in her, which made her furious.
Suppressing her embarrassment, she stood and nodded: "I didn’t think this through, I won’t wear such clothes again."
Wendy Bell left with the document.
Back in the office, people whispered and pointed at her.
Everyone was gossiping loudly, as if she couldn’t hear them, or perhaps intentionally wanting her to.
"I told you she had nothing good in mind, actually trying to seduce President Sinclair, without a thought to her own worth!"
"Exactly, shameless!"
She swallowed her anger, ignoring those noisy women.
Oh well, if worse comes to worst, make a mistake and get pregnant. If she bore a child, could the Sinclair Family truly not acknowledge this little grandchild?
