Chapter 123: Chapter 123: He Deserves It
Jasper Sinclair had no time to listen to his nonsense.
He picked up the suit beside him and hurriedly left the venue.
As for the man who secretly filmed him, if he dared to do it, he should be prepared to bear the consequences.
The outside of the banquet clearly stated that media personnel and others were not allowed to enter, and non-normal filming was prohibited.
This person still chose to act with bad intentions, so be prepared for the consequences.
"Nora? Are you still listening?"
He kept repeating himself, but the call was already disconnected on the other end.
Leaving the venue, he instructed the driver to quickly head to Nora Northwood’s studio.
Annie was puzzled why Jasper Sinclair would appear here, but the next second she saw him rushing up, continuously knocking on Nora’s office door.
"Nora, listen to my explanation!"
The person inside didn’t react at all, didn’t even acknowledge him.
Annie’s eyes widened at the scene; didn’t Nora say she didn’t know Jasper Sinclair? This relationship looks anything but ordinary!
"Why are you here, President Sinclair? Do you think it’s fun to deceive Nora?"
Although Lily Sloan was surprised by his identity, what does it matter if he’s part of the Sinclair Family.
Can the Sinclair Family just play with people’s emotions at will?
She looked coldly at the man in front of her.
"It’s not what you think, I will explain to Nora in person." He was a bit anxious. He knew Nora must be in the office, but the silence inside made him worry.
Annie looked at one and then at the other, truly confused about what was happening now.
She swallowed hard and wanted to ask, but now was definitely not the time to pursue questions.
Just as she was thinking, the office door opened from inside.
Nora, with eyes reddened, looked at him, her gaze like a dead ash.
"What else do you have to say, President Sinclair." Her words were now cold and icy, no longer carrying the tender shyness of the morning, and Jasper Sinclair knew he brought this on himself.
"Honey, I really didn’t want to hide this from you for so long. There were reasons before, and I planned to take you to Grandma’s today and then explain everything to you, it’s true, believe me!"
Seeing that she didn’t believe him at all, Jasper Sinclair was a bit anxious.
"President Sinclair, it was my own mistake, thinking I was so lucky to have the favor of Mr. Sinclair."
"I believe the basis of a relationship is mutual honesty."
"I gave you many chances, but you never seized them; every time I asked, you always had a pile of explanations."
"That subsidiary contract from this morning was your handiwork, right? I don’t need the Sinclair Family’s charity, I will climb to the top with my own capabilities."
"I think we need to be calm between us; at least now I don’t know how to face you."
Nora expressed all she wanted to say in one breath; she couldn’t face Mr. Sinclair right now.
Every time she saw him, her heart ached.
She could understand him hiding his identity; after all, they were only contractually related at first.
But later he kept teasing her emotions without ever revealing his identity; what did that make her, a wife who couldn’t be publicly acknowledged?
Or just waiting for him to get bored and kick her out?
She didn’t want to forgive Jasper Sinclair for now.
"Nora, I..."
"You don’t need to explain, even the explanation won’t cover this fact, Jasper Sinclair, let me calm down."
She looked at the man in front of her with disappointment.
Meanwhile, Annie had finished enjoying the drama between the two.
After Lily finished speaking, she didn’t feel jealous of Nora for winning Jasper Sinclair, instead, she felt that Jasper Sinclair deserved this.
