Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Major Incident at the Studio
After the Sinclair Family’s banquet ended, everything returned to normal.
Nora Northwood’s studio gradually expanded, and of course, this was greatly assisted by Annie.
Although at first knowing Nora’s husband was Jasper Sinclair made me uncomfortable, later I found out that guy was also tricking Nora, so the feeling of displeasure vanished, leaving only anger on Nora’s behalf.
"Nora, there are people causing a scene outside, saying our products are non-compliant and could harm people’s health." Lily Sloan rushed over in a panic.
"What’s going on?" Nora frowned, a bit puzzled.
How could they be non-compliant? Since we created our brand, it must have passed inspections, otherwise non-compliant products wouldn’t even qualify to enter the market.
Lily still wanted to say something, but the commotion downstairs grew louder.
Sensing something was wrong, Nora quickly went down to check the situation.
"Fraudsters! The stuff you’re selling is completely non-compliant, deceiving consumers, why don’t you just die!"
"Really sold your conscience for money, aren’t you afraid of karma catching up?"
"..." Various offensive curses rang out, and Nora still couldn’t figure out what was going on when these people started smashing things inside the store.
Seeing that things couldn’t continue this way, she hurriedly called security to hold these people back.
People were still swearing, Nora quickly stepped up.
"Everyone, there might be some misunderstanding, our products that are on sale have naturally undergone compliant inspections. If you don’t believe it, we also have certificates from the testing."
She tried to explain in the best possible terms, though they suffered losses, clashing with customers now was clearly not a good solution.
"Forget it, you better stop deceiving people; who doesn’t know your tricks?"
"Just randomly pulling out a test certificate and saying we’re causing a scene? If it wasn’t for someone already getting into trouble using your stuff, we wouldn’t be here."
"Right! We’re here to stand up for those people."
Looking at them, the oldest among these people wasn’t even fourteen, seemingly directed by someone.
Squinting, she didn’t know how to handle them, taking a deep breath, she patiently repeated herself.
"The inspection certificates are surely legal and compliant, these things can’t be faked. As for the victims you mentioned, you can tell me. If it’s truly caused by our products, there’s no way I’d shirk responsibility." She felt she’d made a reasonable point.
Yet these kids didn’t listen at all, and with only two security guards, they couldn’t hold these people back.
Not daring to act too aggressively, if they got hurt it would only stir up more public controversy.
The girls said something after smashing, then rushed to ruin the store’s displays.
Only after wreaking havoc did they leave smugly.
Not forgetting to say as they left, "We’re all minors, even if you take us to court we won’t face any consequences. As for such a vile merchant like you, don’t even think about opening another store. Every time you do, we’ll smash it. I have ways to find you."
The girl left after her threat, leaving a mess behind.
"Nora, what should we do?" Lily was quite troubled.
"Call the police." Speaking calmly, Nora rubbed her temples, truly overwhelmed.
Why did such a thing happen, claiming their products were non-compliant, and where did these supposed victims come from?
Annie knew she must be having a headache at that moment, and quickly stepped forward to pat her on the shoulder, "Don’t worry, leave this matter to me, I’ll investigate."
