Chapter 496: Chapter 497: Remarry, Tang Wu
Snow-white smooth legs, such marks were shocking to behold.
Shi Lingyan’s large hand pressed down, gently kneading, and Tang Wu squinted comfortably, smoking and enjoying his service.
"To the left a bit, hiss... yes, lighter..."
A smile played on Shi Lingyan’s lips as he patiently massaged her and asked in a low voice, "What are you planning to do in Imperial City?"
Tang Wu flicked the cigarette ash and said with narrowed eyes, "Open a bar, learn to dance."
"When do you plan to go home?"
"Go back where," Tang Wu opened her eyes, her delicate brows and eyes seemed to hold a faint smile, "Yan City?"
"The Tang Family." Shi Lingyan pulled her into his arms, his palms beginning to knead her arms, "Don’t you want to go back?"
Tang Wu took a deep last drag of her cigarette, snuffed it out directly, "Just because I want to, can I?"
Shi Lingyan fixed his gaze on her.
"Grandpa and Grandma are getting old, they can’t handle these strange things as well as you and Ye Tiao," Tang Wu gathered her long hair and found a comfortable position to lean back in, "How do you want me to talk to them?"
"What about your dad," Shi Lingyan held her and said softly, "he will believe."
"Really?" Tang Wu glanced sideways, "I don’t think so."
"Why not try?"
"What do you want to do?"
"I want you to come back," Shi Lingyan kissed the palm of her hand, "as Tang Wu, not the soul of Tang Wu hidden beneath the facade of someone else."
Tang Wu chuckled lightly, said nothing, her eyes narrowed as she drifted toward sleep.
Seeing this, Shi Lingyan gently laid her down on the bed and remained silent and still for a long while.
After some time, Tang Wu gradually fell asleep, her breathing even.
Shi Lingyan lay beside her, embracing her and gently closed his eyes.
As Tang Wu slept hazily, she seemed to hear Shi Lingyan say a phrase.
He said, "Let’s remarry, Tang Wu."
In her dreams, Tang Wu furrowed her brows and paid no mind, turning over to continue sleeping.
Shi Lingyan, at his wits’ end, held her, his palm touching her belly, closed his eyes, and fell deeply asleep to the rhythm of her breath.

Ye Tiao had not been able to contact Shi Mei all day and had no choice but to take Tang Jingming to check out the store location.
Unexpectedly, they found a place that both found quite satisfactory, but both were naive and clueless about business matters.
Without Shi Mei’s help on pricing, Ye Tiao had to put things on hold, found an excuse to decide after meeting with the owner the next day; the agent was quite agreeable, so the two of them headed back.
Tang Jingming tentatively called Shi Lingyan, only to find, at the end, that even Shi Lingyan’s phone was unreachable.
The disconnect continued until the next morning.
Around eight or nine o’clock, Shi Lingyan finally turned on his phone and suggested having breakfast together.
Tang Jingming: "???"
Without asking too much, she roused Ye Tiao, and upon arriving at the breakfast place, discovered Shi Lingyan and Shi Mei sitting together again.
Shi Lingyan was diligently serving her steamed buns, while Shi Mei looked languid, clad in a different set of clothes, appearing very tired.
In contrast, Shi Lingyan was brimming with energy, his complexion radiant, clearly in excellent spirits.
Tang Jingming had often seen her sister and brother-in-law interact in this way; her heart felt a little sour, yet she also thought the world was fucking unfair!
Some people turn the corner and find love, while he, guarding his purity for over twenty years, would have to have his first kiss stolen by a female rogue... sob sob sob!
