Chapter 450: Chapter 451: Blocked by Shi Mei
Shi Mei cast a glance filled with an unspoken warning.
She had known several days ago that Shi Lingyan was awake.
It seemed he was recovering quite well.
Hearing his voice now, even Shi Mei didn’t know how she was feeling.
On one hand, knowing he had woken up, the heavy stone in her heart finally fell.
But on the other hand, she felt that she shouldn’t harbor such emotions towards him; they should have made a decision about their relationship long ago.
It’s better to just stop seeing each other.
There was no need to keep in touch.
Ye Tiao caught Shi Mei’s glance and cleverly said, "Why are you looking for Shi Mei by calling my phone?"
"Is this your number?" Shi Lingyan’s tone clearly expressed disbelief.
"Yeah," Ye Tiao, unabashed and with a straight face, said, "I just changed my number. Is there something you need?"
"I’m looking for Shi Mei."
"Oh, then you’ve got the wrong number," Ye Tiao, visibly tired, said, "If you don’t need anything else, I’m going to hang up. I’m dead tired."
"Where is Shi Mei?"
At that moment, Shi Mei had already come over holding some juice.
Catching Shi Mei’s glance, Ye Tiao tactfully asked, "What do you want with her?"
"It’s nothing." Shi Lingyan sounded distinctly uninterested, "Aren’t you two together?"
"Please, Mr. Shi, I’m very busy, okay? I’m here in Imperial City to open a branch. Do you think I have the time to keep your little cutie company anytime?"
As Ye Tiao spoke, she suddenly caught a death glare from Shi Mei and quickly corrected herself, "Oh, that’s right, I almost forgot. You two are divorced now, right? Now that Shi Mei is your ex-wife, why are you still looking for her?"
"She’s right next to you, isn’t she?" Shi Lingyan chuckled, "Put her on the phone."
Ye Tiao stiffened and promptly said, "This is ridiculous. If you want to find her, do it yourself. I’m busy and don’t have time to talk."
After saying that, Ye Tiao hung up directly.
After hanging up, Ye Tiao let out a sigh of relief, "How did he get so sharp? But where did he get this number?"
"It goes without saying," Shi Mei said as she placed the juice in front of her, "It must be T Jing."
"Tch," Ye Tiao shook her head, "What a traitor."
"Their relationship is good; it’s not surprising."
"Why didn’t you answer his call?"
"There was nothing to answer," Shi Mei continued with the payment for the takeout, "It’s all over."
Ye Tiao shrugged and yawned, "Alright, as long as you’re happy. Anyway, you’ve fooled him for now."
Shi Mei snorted softly.
Fooled him, perhaps, but whether she had really gotten away with it, who knew.
Shi Mei was also exhausted. She collapsed onto the sofa, yawned, and as she started to feel drowsy, her stomach growled with hunger.
About fifteen minutes later, the phone rang. Thinking it was the delivery, Shi Mei picked it up without looking and drawled, "Hello?"
"Shi Mei?" A clearly young man’s voice.
Shi Mei woke up a bit, glanced at the incoming number – it was unfamiliar.
The voice didn’t seem like Shi Lingyan’s. Shi Mei took the call again, "Who is this?"
"I’m Lin Hang," Lin Hang obviously sounded pleased, "It’s true, Shi Mei, I heard you recovered, and it really is true!"
Lin Hang?
At the mention of this name, Shi Mei felt a headache coming on.
She had just managed to appease one Shi Lingyan, and now a Lin Hang pops up?
"Wrong number."
Shi Mei quickly hung up, but then Lin Hang persistently called again. Losing her patience, Shi Mei directly blocked his number.
