Chapter 130 The Threat

Shi Xinxin waved her phone at him and patted her chest reassuringly, "Don't worry, I'm just going to check the prescription. Nothing will happen."

Feng Yu pursed his lips. Knowing Shi Xinxin was concerned for his safety, he hesitated but ultimately stopped. After all, he didn't understand these things and couldn't burden his sister.

"Then, you must notify me if anything comes up. Don't try to bear any difficulties alone," he said, knowing Shi Xinxin well.

Shi Xinxin agreed, "Okay, I'll prioritize my safety first, then handle the matters at hand."

Feng Yu watched helplessly as her figure gradually disappeared around the bend in the stairs.

Meanwhile, Shi Xinxin looked at the message Feng Yu had sent her: the pharmacy was located in the square not far from here. However, she stopped on the way to the square, her mind preoccupied with one thought.

Since Yan Hao had said these medications could be used to make explosives when mixed together, he must have a way to prove it, perhaps through experimentation. Once she had evidence proving these drugs could create bombs, Elder Feng would be unable to escape the charge of deliberately harming Jiang Ling. At that point, Elder Feng would become a wanted criminal. She could then coordinate with the Jiang family and foreign police to hunt him down, increasing the chances of finding him and the batch of supplements.

Shi Xinxin immediately contacted Yan Hao and learned he was in his office at the hospital. She hurried to the hospital.

Upon arriving at the city central hospital, she saw a red banner at the entrance, displaying the full name of the competition. Without delay, Shi Xinxin's gaze fixed forward, and she quickly headed for the stairs. Her eyes inadvertently glanced to the side, and she suddenly noticed a familiar figure, causing her to halt instantly.

The other person clearly saw her as well. After a moment of surprise, they broke into a smile and walked over, "Xinxin, why are you at the hospital? Are you feeling unwell?" As they approached, their fingers tapped rhythmically by their leg.

Shi Xinxin remained outwardly calm, her gaze quickly scanning the surroundings. She saw several men in black, concealed within the crowd, quickly disappear. Shi Xinxin couldn't help but suspect Yun Rou, who was smiling at her. Who were those fleeting figures in black, and why were they at the hospital? And why were they appearing at the same location as Yun Rou? Shi Xinxin couldn't help but recall Yun Rou's odd behavior at the abandoned hospital previously.

Seeing that Shi Xinxin seemed to be lost in thought, Yun Rou's eyes darkened, but her tone remained outwardly unchanged, "Xinxin, what's wrong? Do you need my help?"

Shi Xinxin blinked and offered a smile. "It's nothing, just some personal matters." Until she was certain of Yun Rou's intentions, Shi Xinxin dared not engage in further conversation. Maintaining a gentle smile on her face, she observed the blush on Yun Rou's cheeks. "Did you just drink? You look quite tired."

Yun Rou paused, then chuckled dismissively, "I'm fine, maybe it's just too hot."

While Yun Rou was speaking, Shi Xinxin had already discreetly scanned her from head to toe. There was nothing unusual. Yun Rou was wearing the typical black casual attire of a celebrity, a black fisherman's hat, and a white mask—a perfectly normal appearance in the entertainment industry. Shi Xinxin had to retract her gaze.

Yun Rou's lips curved into a slight smile. She nodded, "Then I'll be going. We can have dinner together sometime when we're free."

"Okay," Shi Xinxin replied, feigning a smile. The moment Yun Rou turned away, Shi Xinxin's smile vanished. Regardless of whether Yun Rou's words were true or false, she undeniably had a secret she was hiding. However, Shi Xinxin didn't have the luxury of delving deeper. She cast a brief glance at Yun Rou's retreating figure as she got into her car, then immediately went upstairs to find Yan Hao.

Following the message, she arrived at his office and found Yan Hao studying the pair of prescriptions Shi Xinxin had sent him.

"Yan Hao!" Shi Xinxin panted slightly, leaning on the doorframe. She took a deep breath and sat on the sofa. "How is it? Can you give me the components of these drugs and their combinations with other medications?"

"Why are you rushing so much? Have some tea and catch your breath," Yan Hao poured her a cup of hot tea before returning to his computer.

Shi Xinxin felt the warmth of the teacup and waited for his answer.

"The ingredients for making explosives by mixing these drugs are not difficult to identify. The person who concocted them must be very knowledgeable in medicine, which is why they combined medications that wouldn't normally be put together with special materials to create an explosive. This also makes it unlikely for others to suspect them."

Shi Xinxin's expression instantly turned serious. She quickly thought of something, "So, you're saying that by using so many incongruous medicinal ingredients to make an explosive, they were trying to eliminate suspicion?"

"Yes, because if someone wasn't proficient in medicine, they probably wouldn't know these drugs could be used to make bombs," Yan Hao nodded. Everything now made sense. Shi Xinxin finally breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at the computer screen. Yan Hao was editing the third line of drug pairings, and soon, he listed the components that could form a bomb from these medications.

Meanwhile, on the first floor of the hospital, Yun Rou, her face heavily concealed, silently glanced at the several men in black beside her. "Go change out of those conspicuous clothes, dress more normally, and continue monitoring Yan Hao's every move at the hospital," she said calmly. The men in black immediately went to carry out her orders. Yun Rou remained in place. Her heavily disguised appearance attracted quite a few glances from onlookers, but she paid them no mind, her gaze fixed on the second-floor staircase. After a long moment, she withdrew her gaze, turned, and walked out of the hospital.

The phone in her hand was answered, and a harsh, static-like sound came through, "Hello, Yun Rou, why are you calling me at this hour?" Elder Feng's voice was noticeably unpleasant.

Yun Rou smiled. Considering Elder Feng was the founder of their organization, she reminded him leisurely, "Shi Xinxin is currently looking everywhere for your whereabouts. You'd better hide well and don't let them find you."

There was an instant silence, followed by his voice, suppressing his anger, "This Shi Xinxin, how many of my plans has she ruined!" Hearing his familiar tone, Yun Rou had a good idea. She looked at her newly manicured nails and said slowly, "You're not planning to get rid of her now, are you?"

There was another moment of silence from the other end. Elder Feng didn't answer the question but instead said, "What does her life or death have to do with you? Don't forget, you're on our side."

"So what?" Yun Rou detested being threatened. Her expression visibly turned cold at a rapid pace.
