Chapter 285 Where Am I

Sheng Chenjin spoke anxiously, but the housekeeper listened to Sheng Chenjin’s worries and frowned. “Sir, perhaps we should wait until Miss wakes up before deciding on this matter? You should eat something now.”

According to Sheng Chenjin’s usual routine, he would have breakfast after waking up and then go to work. However, today he slept until ten o’clock, missing his usual breakfast time.

The housekeeper was worried that this sudden change might trigger Sheng Chenjin’s old stomach problems. During his entrepreneurial period, having a hot meal was not easy; it was either sudden overeating, or the lunch was ready, but by the time of eating, it was already dinner time.

Moreover, at that time, in addition to diet, Sheng Chenjin was often asked to drink a lot of alcohol by investors, and his stomach problems were discovered then.

But now, Sheng Chenjin didn't care about any of this, completely forgetting about breakfast.

“No, this is very important. What kind of attitude should I have towards her when she wakes up?” When the housekeeper heard this, he understood that Sheng Chenjin’s worry was not about how to punish Shi Xinxin appropriately, but about his current attitude. It seemed that Sheng Chenjin had taken to heart what he had told him yesterday. The housekeeper smiled. Sheng Chenjin released him and returned to his original spot. Within two seconds, he started pacing the room again.

“Do you think I should be strict this time? If she insisted on going out, she could have told me. Why didn’t she say anything and just climbed over the wall? How dangerous is it for a girl to do such a thing? She would rather risk danger than discuss it with me. Do you think this should be punished?”

Just as the housekeeper was about to speak, Sheng Chenjin continued, “But look, she sneaked out to drink by herself and came back injured with a slight concussion. This can be considered a punishment. If I treat her fiercely again, wouldn’t I seem too cruel and devoid of humanity?”

Sheng Chenjin’s words were reasonable, and the more he spoke, the more conflicted he became. The housekeeper chuckled, as he felt these were not big issues. “Sir, in my opinion, Miss will sleep for a long time after drinking, so we have plenty of time to consider this matter.”

The housekeeper paused, and seeing that Sheng Chenjin had no intention of stopping, he continued, “In the meantime, I think you can eat first. If Miss wakes up and you are suffering from a stomachache, you won’t be able to take any action, as your body won’t support you.”

Sheng Chenjin’s agitated mood was calmed by the housekeeper’s words. Seeing that his master had finally quieted down, the housekeeper hurried forward. “Let’s go, we’ll go to the dining room to eat something. While waiting for the meal, you will surely think of a solution.”

Saying this, he pulled Sheng Chenjin towards the dining room. Sheng Chenjin was dazed, still pondering the issue along the way, but he was more worried about the embarrassing sight of his stomachache when Shi Xinxin woke up.

He absolutely could not show any weakness in front of her. Shi Xinxin, still in a deep sleep, of course, had no idea that the people around her were so busy because of her drinking. She also didn’t know what was happening to Tang Tang, who had been brought home by Xiao Feng.

In the morning, the sunlight shone on her face, and the warm and comfortable large bed made Tang Tang stretch lazily. She, who should have been suffering from jet lag, didn't feel so tired because of the all-night revelry yesterday.

But now, she didn’t want to leave the comfortable bed. Closing her eyes, she recalled the happy scenes from last night. She had had so much fun yesterday. It had been a long time since she had talked freely and unreservedly with good friends like this.

They had both drunk a lot last night and had danced in the dance hall for quite a while. Thinking of Shi Xinxin’s clumsy dance moves, Tang Tang couldn’t help but laugh. Later, while they were resting, she mentioned that detestable boss, which made her teeth ache.

A boss who deducted wages at the drop of a hat was simply scum. Why hadn’t she asked for more details about that boss yesterday? It seemed she was interrupted by something…

What was it? It seemed they were talking, and then the table collapsed, and then… it was a stampede! Tang Tang’s eyes suddenly widened, startled awake by the memory that flashed through her mind.

Her eyes stared blankly at the ceiling as she searched her mind again for the fragmented memories from last night. After replaying them several times, she confirmed that there had been a stampede at the bar yesterday.

It was all a chaotic crowd. The last thing she remembered was being pinned under a table with Shi Xinxin, holding each other tightly, and then feeling a pair of hands pull them up.

Oh my god, it really was a stampede! Tang Tang was so scared that she sat up in bed. Where was Shi Xinxin now? She looked around and realized she was in a strange room. “Where… am I again?”

She discovered a more serious problem: this was not her home, not her room. Moreover, the owner of the room had terrible taste, with extremely ugly furnishings. The room was black, gray, and white, so monotonous and boring. Was this designed as a man’s room?

Tang Tang was startled and only then realized. She pulled back the covers and found that she was no longer wearing the clothes she had worn when she left yesterday. She had been changed into clean pajamas.

She sniffed herself; there was no smell of alcohol, and a faint scent of roses emanated from her. Oh my god! Had she been taken advantage of?

Terrified, she immediately jumped out of bed. The pajamas were a set of top and pants. She was fully clothed and did not seem to have been violated. Moreover, the other side of the bed was neat, with no sign of anyone having slept there.

After a simple inspection of her surroundings, Tang Tang’s heart settled a little, but she was still uncertain. She was still in a stranger’s house, and she still had no idea what had happened when she was blackout drunk last night.

Hearing the movement in the room, a servant quickly rushed over. She pushed the door open. “Miss, you’re awake? Is there anything I can do for you?” Tang Tang was startled by the servant who entered the room so suddenly.

“Who are you?” Tang Tang was so scared that she didn’t know what to do.

“I am a servant here. Sir instructed me that if you woke up, I should attend to you. You are not yet familiar with this place and may need my help,” the servant replied respectfully, her calm demeanor a stark contrast to Tang Tang’s panic in the room.
