By the time the two arrived beside the contraption, the body had lost all power and lay on the ground.

Qi Tian's sense of energy was slightly more acute than Lin Xiao's. He perceived that the nuclear power within the modified human, which had initially maintained equilibrium, was now affected.
During his earlier examination, he had roughly determined that the power core would typically not lose stability, otherwise, it couldn't serve as the power source for such a high-level modified human.
However, with this energy disturbance occurring, there was only one possibility.
This thing had detonated itself.
"Hahaha! Dragon Country people! Prepare to face judgment! Everything you have will be destroyed! Northern Frontier will soon become our breakthrough point! This is the price you pay for your actions!"
Qi Tian was decisive. His puppet instantly appeared and lifted the body.

Lin Xiao recalled the previous incident. He immediately placed a hand on the puppet's back, launching it into the air.
Qi Tian then leaped up, soaring towards the puppet in the sky.
Lin Xiao followed closely behind.
The spiritual energy within both of them erupted. Under the combined force of their two powers, the puppet shot through the sky like lightning.
With the puppet's own strength augmented by theirs, it, along with the modified human's body, was sent flying several kilometers away.
"Alas, I'll have to craft another puppet," Qi Tian sighed with a hint of regret, watching the distant puppet.
"At least your data wasn't completely destroyed," Lin Xiao scoffed. He knew that Qi Tian's cooperation was entirely dependent on the data he held.
Without that leverage, Qi Tian wouldn't have cared about the fate of anyone else here.
He himself could have easily slipped away much earlier.
"Let's go deal with the other one."
Qi Tian's eyes darted, and he immediately rushed back to the room they had been in before.
Inside the room, he swiftly shut down the power reactor on the modified human's body.
If that one were to explode, his computers would surely be the first to suffer.
His cloud data hadn't been fully uploaded yet, and he couldn't afford to lose it like this.
Just as he finished, a loud roaring sound echoed.
Qi Tian sighed again.
His puppet had been damaged.
While not completely destroyed, he sensed that at least half of it was ruined.
He controlled the damaged puppet back, and Lin Xiao looked at Qi Tian curiously, "You're so familiar with this reactor?"
"Of course. My own power source is an improvement based on this. I'm quite familiar with its structure," Qi Tian replied. "Using spirit stones as the power source can eliminate all risks, and the power is more sustained, making one stronger."
