The envelope had a seal but no postmark, so it probably wasn't mailed, right?! Upon opening it, wow~ it was indeed from an old acquaintance. Inside was a long string of code, followed by questions from Lou Qiming, and finally, a request that made Ji Xingmi want to laugh and cry. The letter was so characteristic of that person; she would have known who it was even without a signature.
Ji Xingmi sat in front of the computer for a long time with no inspiration. She even felt that Lou Qiming overestimated her. She had no idea what to do. Unable to solve the puzzle, Ji Xingmi put it aside and went to do something else. She asked Xiao Ji to buy some brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones, preparing to fulfill his unreasonable request first.
By the time Xiao Ji returned with the supplies, it was an hour later. Ji Xingmi still hadn't solved the code problem. However, she wasn't discouraged. She just took the items and found a place to start drawing talismans. She wrote from regular script to wild cursive, her handwriting looking more and more like drawing talismans. She had intended to calm her mind, but it had the opposite effect, making her increasingly restless.
Yi Hao came over for a visit and happened to see her writing in the conference room. He then walked in with Chen Cang, who helped pick up the scattered papers from the floor.
"Your calligraphy is good, but why is it becoming so unsteady! Your wild cursive is so wild that you can barely recognize the characters yourself! Are you drawing talismans?"
"Grandpa Mao, you're right, I am drawing talismans! Which one do you think looks most like a talisman?"
Yi Hao glanced at Ji Xingmi, who was standing by the table, and then leaned in to whisper, "What's wrong? Did Old Hua criticize you again?"
"No, I'm just fulfilling the task given to me! Lou Qiming said he wants lucky talismans! I don't know how to draw them, so I'm trying to figure it out!"
"You! When you write, you should write properly. Wild cursive has its own rules; it's not wild just because no one can recognize the characters! Look... you should strike the brush like this." Yi Hao also became interested and took her brush to write.
Ji Xingmi's mind wasn't on what Yi Hao was writing at all. Her head was full of Yi Hao's earlier words, "Wild cursive has its own rules!"
"Yes!"
"Grandpa Mao, you're amazing!" Ji Xingmi dropped what she was holding and ran out, rushing towards the study.
"This child, what's gotten into her?"
"She's probably inspired by you!" Chen Cang replied with a smile.
"I know I'm amazing! Come on! Let's go take a look!" Yi Hao also put down his brush and headed towards Old Hua's study.
As Ji Xingmi rushed into the study, she asked Old Hua, "Grandpa Hua, there's internet here, right? Is there one over there too?"
"Ah?" Old Hua was stunned for a moment before realizing what she was referring to. He replied, "There should be!"
Old Hua had calculated everything when they moved in. The computer Ji Xingmi was using was specifically prepared for her. She furiously tapped on the keyboard at her station, her typing speed terrifyingly fast. Yi Hao, who followed her in, asked Old Hua with his eyes what was going on. Old Hua shook his head in confusion.
Ji Xingmi, however, became more and more excited, her hands never pausing. "Like this, just like this! Everything has its own rules! So, can I manipulate things over there! Haha, I knew it was possible." Ji Xingmi muttered to herself. The two old gentlemen exchanged a smile at the scene!
"Grandpa Hua, tell them not to intercept me!" Ji Xingmi suddenly shouted from over there. Old Hua reacted quickly. Secretary Sun immediately made a call to the other side, but due to the security system, it took several transfers before they got through.
When the call was connected, Old Hua relayed Ji Xingmi's words to the person on the other end. Ji Xingmi was having a blast, dodging their attempts at interception while manipulating the computers over there.
"Lou Qiming, worship this young lady!" Ji Xingmi felt even more audacious when there were no more pursuits, altering the host computer's code!
Lou Qiming was struggling over there. He had been stuck in this place for nearly seven days with no progress. When he heard someone nearby yell that the system was being invaded, he didn't react. But suddenly, someone came in and told everyone to stop, and Lou Qiming glanced at the person. The next second, all their computers simultaneously turned blue, and code started scrolling.
"What's going on?"
"The host is under attack!?"
"Why can't I counterattack?"
Various voices filled the room. Lou Qiming looked at the big screen for a moment, then at his own computer. He frantically searched for his glasses on the desk, put them on, looked closely again, and then burst out laughing!
"I know, I knew it! She's a genius! Stop your noise! She's one of us! Watch her closely!"
Lou Qiming's words quieted the room. Some people exchanged glances with their neighbors, but their eyes were full of confusion, not knowing what had happened. Of course, everyone else was in the same state. At this moment, the base commander rushed in. Seeing the blue screens in the room, he asked the person who delivered the message what was happening. The messenger was also a bit dazed and stammered out everything he knew.
