Chapter 39 Accepting a Disciple

Naturally, when Tongtian and Minghe made their move, Nuwa, Jieyin, and Zhunti were also watching. They were all Sages, eager to gauge the differences between them. Jieyin and Zhunti, in particular, had only just managed to achieve sainthood and weren't even sure if they could contend with Nuwa.

Upon witnessing Tongtian's Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, Jieyin and Zhunti exchanged glances. Even Minghe, who possessed a Primordial Supreme Treasure, had suffered such a brutal defeat. Without such a treasure, they would surely fare even worse within the formation.

After observing the battle devoid of any spiritual treasures, Jieyin and Zhunti were utterly speechless. The Three Pure Ones were simply too formidable!

Zhunti was particularly envious. Why were the Three Pure Ones so powerful? When would the Western lands ever prosper?

Subsequently, Tongtian returned to Golden Ao Island. Outside Golden Ao Island, numerous beings had already gathered. Upon seeing the Sage Tongtian, they immediately prostrated themselves, shouting, "Long live the Sage, boundless blessings!"

Tongtian waved his hand, signaling the beings to rise. He then declared, "You have all come to my Golden Ao Island, and it can be considered fate. From this day forward, I shall expound upon the Supreme Purity Dao. How much you comprehend will depend on your own destiny!"

Tongtian was truly magnanimous. Anyone with fate was welcome to listen to his teachings, emulating the Dao Ancestor's principle of teaching without discrimination. Of course, those with mediocre comprehension would not be accepted as disciples; they might at best be registered disciples. True core disciples would be carefully chosen.

In an instant, a multitude of beings flocked to the vicinity of Golden Ao Island. After all, it was a Sage imparting knowledge; perhaps they could comprehend some divine abilities. With good fortune, they might even be accepted as disciples by a Sage, thus securing a powerful backer for themselves and earning respect. Who would dare to bully them then?

"Haha, Daoist Tongtian's dojo is located on Golden Ao Island; we are now neighbors!" At this moment, Old Ancestor Hongyun floated over. Seeing Tongtian imparting knowledge, he exclaimed with joy!

Tongtian paused his lecture and chuckled, "Daoist Hongyun, please come in quickly!"

After Hongyun entered, Tongtian waved his hand, and a chair instantly appeared. The other beings, however, had no cushions to sit on.

Hongyun politely sat down without ceremony. Tongtian then said, "Daoist friend, please wait a moment. Let me finish this discourse."

Hongyun nodded and closed his eyes, listening attentively!

After Tongtian concluded his lecture, he surveyed the beings below and pointed to a chubby young man, saying, "Who are you?"

The chubby young man immediately prostrated himself and replied, "Reporting to the Sage, this humble one is Duobao!"

Tongtian nodded, calculated with his fingers, and smiled, "Duobao, are you willing to become my core disciple?"

The chubby young man was overjoyed, never expecting such fortune. He immediately kowtowed and said, "I am willing, I am willing! Greetings, Master!"

Tongtian nodded and smiled, "Then you shall be my second disciple. Your senior brother should be undergoing transformation soon. He joined earlier than you!"

Duobao was taken aback, not realizing there was a senior brother. And he was only just undergoing transformation? Duobao felt that his senior brother must have a profound foundation, otherwise, he wouldn't have taken so long to transform.

He repeatedly agreed.

Later, Tongtian also accepted three female disciples, namely Jin Ling, Gui Ling, and Wudang!

After accepting the four as core disciples, Tongtian did not hesitate to bestow upon them Primordial Spiritual Treasures!

The assembled beings gazed enviously at Duobao and the others. These were core disciples, possessing exceptionally noble status!

Subsequently, Tongtian also accepted some outer disciples and specifically chose the Seven Attendants. In an instant, the destiny of the Jie Sect greatly increased, and its disciples grew numerous!

Hongyun watched silently from the side. After Tongtian finished handling these matters, he finally spoke, "Your Jie Sect's destiny is grand, congratulations, congratulations!"

Tongtian laughed heartily and waved his hand, placing spiritual fruits before Hongyun. He said with a smile, "Is your dojo also nearby? We must visit each other often in the future!"

He and Hongyun already had a good relationship, and now their dojos were both in the East Sea. He chuckled.

Hongyun also smiled and replied, "Naturally. However, my dojo is not as vast as your Golden Ao Island. It's just an unnamed island!"

Indeed, after Taiqing Laozi suggested he abandon Huoyun Cave, Hongyun had casually chosen a small island as his dojo. After all, choosing the wrong dojo could lead to calamity. Hongyun was still shaken by the experience, hence his casual selection of an island.

Tongtian was naturally aware of this and said with a smile, "Your calamity has already passed. Are there not the Three Immortal Islands in the East Sea? Dongwang Gong has fallen. Why don't you take one for yourself?"

Hongyun shook his head. He was no longer a reckless youth. Penglai Immortal Island was a gathering place for rogue immortals; what would he do there?

Tongtian, however, said, "The islands of Fangzhang and Yingzhou still have no masters! Why don't you choose one? After all, you are a mighty figure in the Primordial World. Old Ancestor Hongyun, how can you lack prestige?"

Hearing this, Hongyun pondered for a moment. That was indeed true.

He then rose and said, "Thank you for your guidance, Daoist friend. I will go and take a look!"

Tongtian nodded. After all, Hongyun was his friend. He would help if he could. With a Sage like himself nearby, who would dare trouble Hongyun?

Afterward, Hongyun rode on the clouds and headed towards the Three Immortal Islands.

On the Three Immortal Islands at this moment, Penglai was already filled with rogue immortals of all kinds. As for the islands of Fangzhang and Yingzhou, they remained hidden nearby, undiscovered by anyone.

Upon arriving, Hongyun began to deduce the Three Immortal Islands. Unfortunately, the Three Immortal Islands were formed from fragments of chaos, making them impossible to deduce. Only a Sage could do so, and Hongyun was clearly not qualified. Just as Hongyun was at a loss, Tongtian's voice echoed: "Daoist friend, go three hundred li to the west!"

Hongyun did not doubt him and immediately flew in that direction. Indeed, he entered a formation here. Due to Hongyun's innate divine abilities, he quickly floated in. Upon entering, Hongyun realized this was Fangzhang Island!

He looked around. Although there were no spiritual treasures – and rightly so, as Dongwang Gong had taken the best ones – there were plenty of spiritual plants. Moreover, it had evolved from fragments of chaos, so Hongyun was quite satisfied. He immediately established his dojo here.

At the same time, he sent a message of thanks to Tongtian.

Without Tongtian's help, he might not have found Fangzhang Island!

After all, the Three Immortal Islands possessed their own celestial mechanism concealment. Currently, only Penglai Immortal Island, due to Dongwang Gong's influence, was exposed to public view. The other two immortal islands were still hidden. Hongyun was not greedy; finding one immortal island was already more than satisfactory. As for Yingzhou Island, he would leave it to whoever was fated.

On Kunlun Mountain, Yuanshi sat majestically on a cloud bed, casually glancing downwards, as if he could see through billions of miles of mountains and rivers.

Everything on Kunlun Mountain was also within his sight.

Currently, within the grand formation of Kunlun Mountain, many beings were trying to break through. All sorts of beings were present. Yuanshi disliked demons, yet many demons came, which made Yuanshi speechless. After all, he himself had announced it to the world and did not make things difficult for them. Moreover, his formation was not easily passed. Without great destiny and great fortune, and with insufficient foundation, it was simply impossible to break through!
