Dragons were too dangerous, especially a god-tier one. If it lost control, it could destroy human cities, bringing disaster. Thus, humans and dragons had an agreement: dragons were forbidden from entering human cities. It was an ironclad rule!
Sparc naturally understood this, but hearing it irked him. He felt it was overstepping his bounds. He wasn't there to slaughter the city!
His expression soured as he glared at the old man. But upon closer inspection, Sparc was astonished. This old man was also god-tier! No wonder he dared to interfere.
Upon sensing him more carefully, Sparc realized he couldn't gauge the old man's depth. Sparc himself had only recently broken through to god-tier, while this elder seemed to be late god-tier. He then noticed the faint elemental lightning around the elder and his heart tightened. Could this be the human race's foremost expert, Grand Magus Gralan?
Well, regardless of whether it was him or not, Sparc figured he couldn't win. But if this arrogant old man dared to speak to him like that, he wouldn't let him off the hook easily!
So, he immediately sidled up to Li Er and said, "Boss, he won't let us into the city!"
Li Er rolled his eyes. "Not us. Just you."
Sparc chuckled, having expected this. "Boss, aren't you looking for the Human Token? This guy right here is the human race's foremost expert, Grand Magus Gralan. If we capture him, we'll know about the Human Token!"
Li Er raised an eyebrow and eyed Sparc suspiciously. "You know Grand Magus Gralan? How do you know it's him?"
Sparc grinned. "Boss, look at the elemental lightning gathered around him. And he's god-tier. Besides Gralan, there aren't any other lightning-elemental god-tiers among humans!"
Li Er nodded. "Hmm, good analysis."
"Old man, do you know where the Human Token is?" Li Er asked directly.
Grand Magus Gralan glanced at Li Er and then dismissed him. In his perception, Li Er was an ordinary person. Only this dragon seemed peculiar, why was he associating with an ordinary person? Or was this ordinary person not so ordinary?
Thinking this, Gralan looked again but found nothing. Now, Gralan was puzzled. After all, there weren't many people who could surpass him.
"Old man, I'm talking to you. Do you know where the Human Token is?" Sparc roared, acting quite brazenly.
Gralan's eyes narrowed. "The Human Token concerns my race. Why should a dragon like you care? Young man, the Human Token is not something you should be concerned with!"
Li Er immediately smiled. From this, it seemed the old man knew where the Human Token was!
Seeing his boss smile, Sparc roared, "Old man, I advise you not to be ungrateful!"
"Hmph, noisy!" Gralan was displeased with Sparc and with a wave of his hand, a lightning storm materialized out of nowhere, lashing towards Sparc.
Sparc didn't move. He was beside Li Er. This old man was about to face trouble. How dare he not let him into the city? Did he think he was going to eat their rice? What a meddler!
Indeed, before the storm could reach Li Er, it dissipated.
Then, Li Er extended his hand towards Gralan and said, "Heaven and Earth Prison!"
Gralan instantly felt the space around him solidify. He tried to move but found he couldn't. He was directly controlled by Li Er and flown towards him.
At this moment, Gralan realized this was a mighty being, possibly even a legendary divine-tier expert!
Now, Gralan understood! No wonder that god-tier dragon was acting like a sycophant. It turned out this person was the true powerhouse!
However, it was a bit too late to understand now!
As expected, Sparc then said, "Boss, this old fellow is being stubborn. Leave him to me. I guarantee I'll make him wish he were dead, and he'll spill everything!"
Yes, Sparc was that vengeful. How dare he, with his late god-tier strength, not let him enter the city? Was he going to eat their food? What a busybody!
Joel also followed, and seeing Grand Magus Gralan captured so easily, he became anxious. After all, Grand Magus Gralan was the human race's foremost expert. Alright, so this foremost expert had a bit of a shaky claim now, but he was still the deterrent for the Beast Emperors, the trump card that kept the beastmen from acting rashly. If he were to be lost here, who knew how much chaos would ensue!
He quickly said, "Senior, Grand Magus Gralan was just momentarily confused. Please spare him. Grand Magus Gralan, if you know the whereabouts of the Human Token, speak quickly!"
Sparc's expression soured as he looked at Joel. Kid, I'll remember you. Just you wait. You dare to ruin my good deed!
Grand Magus Gralan glanced at Joel. Wasn't this the elder from the Swordsmen Guild? Why was he in such a state? But he quickly said, "Senior, the Human Token was stolen by the Lich King Andrew long ago!"
"Is the information accurate?" Li Er asked, raising an eyebrow.
Gralan quickly nodded. "Accurate. My Magic Guild has explicit records!"
Li Er immediately waved his hand, and Grand Magus Gralan was thrown somewhere unknown. Then, the group entered the city.
Arceb smacked his lips all the way. A true powerhouse was a powerhouse indeed. The human race's foremost expert, a god-tier lightning-elemental, was defeated in one move by the boss. Too strong!
"Boss, that restaurant ahead, we've been there before, and the food is excellent. Follow me!" Arceb said immediately. He absolutely had to latch onto this boss's coattails!
Li Er was quite pleased. Arceb was indeed perceptive!
After entering the restaurant, Arceb expertly ordered the dishes. Since Sparc was with them, he ordered a generous amount. Seeing Joel also sitting down, he rolled his eyes. That old geezer, how dare he follow them!
Then Arceb leaned closer and asked, "Senior, are you from the Swordsmen Guild?"
Joel nodded. "That's right. A powerful elder of the Swordsmen Guild, if you know what that means! I wouldn't say I'm incredibly powerful, but within the Swordsmen Guild, I have quite a reputation!"
"Then your benefits should be quite good!" Arceb asked with an even wider smile.
Joel continued to nod, not understanding why Arceb was asking these things. But he didn't dare show any dissatisfaction. After all, he saw that they were associating with the boss. Even the human race's foremost expert was tossed around like a ball. How could he dare to be presumptuous!
"Heh heh, look at this meal, it must be hundreds of gold coins, right? We're just a group of poor mercenaries, we don't have money. I don't know if the boss has money, but do you think the boss would pay?" Arceb said with a laugh.
Joel glanced at Li Er. Well, how could he let the boss pay? He nodded.
Arceb continued, "Sparc is also poor. He's a dragon, where would he get gold coins? So, you see?"
