Chapter 221 Journey to Another World 5

Feeling Li Er's gaze, Sparck's face flushed. It was truly awkward; how could he possibly get the direction wrong?

He furtively glanced at Li Er. Yes, the look in his eyes confirmed it: this guy was the reason he'd gotten the direction wrong. He'd been so dazed after Li Er hit his head, he'd lost his bearings!

Li Er paid no mind to Sparck's thoughts, instead stroking his chin as he pondered something.

The dwarf Tarok, part of their party, grew anxious. After all, this powerful being was riding on the dragon Sparck's back. That meant he was at least a super-god level, otherwise, did Sparck really think he'd be so obedient? Don't be ridiculous!

Now, this powerful individual was heading to the Undead Volcano, the territory of their dwarf race. Could something bad be about to happen?

But he didn't dare speak. This was hardly something a mere Sword Master-level dwarf could presume to address.

"Um, sir, are we still going?" Sparck asked cautiously.

Li Er rolled his eyes and looked at the group. "Are you taking on quests?"

As the captain of the adventure team, Asebh immediately replied, "Respected powerful one, our team's primary focus is taking on quests!"

For their adventure team to survive, they had to accept quests from the Adventurers' Guild, exchanging them for living resources and cultivation resources. There were many such teams on the continent.

"Good, I have a quest for you. Take me to the Undead Volcano. Once it's done, I can advance each of your cultivation levels by one stage! For example, if you're currently a Sword Master, I can make you a Great Sword Master!" Li Er stated directly. After all, there was a dwarf in the group, so they wouldn't get lost. Not only that, but he also wanted to understand this world better. The news about the Elven Queen was from hundreds of years ago, and the elves themselves rarely left the elven forest, so their knowledge was limited.

Asebh almost dropped his jaw when he heard that they could advance their cultivation. It was incredible, but this was said by a powerful individual who might be a super-god. It was unlikely to be false!

As the captain, Asebh immediately said, "Alright, respected powerful one, we accept this quest!"

Besides the long journey, this kind of quest was actually very safe, much simpler than their usual tasks of tracking magical beasts or finding magic cores.

Sparck, standing nearby, listened to Li Er's words and his eyes darted around. "Goodness, if this can help people advance, can it help me, a divine-level dragon, advance to super-god level as well?" he then directly asked, "Sir, can I advance to super-god level?"

Li Er looked at Sparck strangely. "Why not?"

Sparck was overjoyed. "Sir, I'm also a member of their team!" he said, glancing at Asebh. "Young man, you know what to do. Don't burn your bridges!"

Asebh swallowed hard. "What the hell, since when are you a member of our team? Since when has Sparck become so shameless?"

But he didn't dare say it. He could only give a wry smile. "My lords, whatever makes you happy!"

Li Er chuckled, unconcerned. He couldn't be bothered with Sparck. The journey ahead might be a bit troublesome, especially since the current team's strength was mediocre. With Sparck, he could also relax a bit, so he nodded.

Sparck was immediately overjoyed. He transformed, becoming a hulking man over two meters tall, exuding immense pressure.

At this point, Asebh noticed Tarok's expression and asked, "Um, sir, may I ask why you are going to the Undead Volcano? Is it convenient to disclose?"

Li Er glanced at Tarok and said indifferently, "I'm going to ask the Dwarf King for something. It's nothing major."

Asebh immediately shut up. "Goodness, he's going straight to the Dwarf King. That's beyond our reach." He patted Tarok's shoulder and followed along. After all, there was nothing they could do.

And so, the party of eight headed towards the Undead Volcano.

They walked for a day and were still within the Demon Beast Forest. According to Asebh, it would take about seven or eight days to get out.

Sparck scoffed, "It's just that you guys are too slow. If I flew, I'd be out of the Demon Beast Forest in half a day."

Asebh chuckled and said nothing. What Sparck said was true. Who would dare obstruct Sparck's path? They couldn't fly, and even if they could, at Saint level, they wouldn't dare fly above the Demon Beast Forest, as there were plenty of Saint-level magical beasts within.

"Idiot, if you can fly out of the Demon Beast Forest in half a day, why did you get the direction wrong? You've been flying for half a day, didn't you notice?" Li Er couldn't help but complain. This guy actually had the nerve to be smug!

Sparck gave a wry smile and fell silent.

Asebh chuckled even more. "Serves you right for showing off in front of the big shot!"

"Speaking of which, Asebh, we've been walking all day. Don't you guys need to eat?" Li Er asked curiously, knowing that these people didn't practice asceticism.

Asebh sighed. "Do you think we don't want to eat? Damn it, we have nothing to eat! I'm desperate too!"

"Big shot, we haven't encountered any magical beasts, have we? If we did, we'd have food!" Asebh said, then glanced sideways at Sparck. "Yes, it's your fault!"

Sparck seemed completely out of it and continued, "That's strange. In my Great Demon Beast Forest, I can't find many magical beasts. You guys really have good luck. Otherwise, with your low cultivation, you probably wouldn't even be enough to feed a magical beast!"

Li Er nodded as well. "Indeed, this luck is a bit too strange!"

Asebh sighed, not wanting to talk. "Whatever makes you happy." Damn it, with a divine-level dragon nearby, his aura was so strong, what foolish magical beast wouldn't run away? If they could encounter magical beasts, Asebh would be willing to shit while standing on his head!

Then Asebh asked, "Do you have any provisions?"

He had no choice. If the food problem wasn't solved, he doubted he could even get out of the Demon Beast Forest.

Niu Aman took out some coarse grain biscuits and said in a gruff voice, "Captain, only these are left!"

Asebh nodded, took the biscuit, and presented it to Li Er. "Big shot, this is all the food we have. Please, have some first?"

Li Er pursed his lips. "Are you sure this is for humans to eat?" He shook his head directly, refusing.

Sparck was very curious. He took a piece and threw it into his mouth, but quickly spat it out. "What kind of dog crap is this!"

Asebh was speechless and could only silently eat the biscuit with his teammates. The others also chuckled. The coarse grain biscuits really didn't taste good.
