"Boss, are there any special considerations for delivery orders to office buildings?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Office buildings? They're quite troublesome."
Bullhorse frowned upon hearing this.
"They rarely order delivery, but every time they do, they're particularly difficult. One moment they want you to help take out the trash, the next they want you to help move water bottles."
"And that's when I'm delivering! For a rookie like you, they'll only be more unreasonable."
"So what methods are there to deal with them?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"First, don't think about confronting them head-on. Office building security guards are nothing like residential complex security - even I have some trouble dealing with them."
"Second, you can try building rapport with their manager or someone. Win over the leadership, and handling the employees becomes much easier."Bullhorse replied.
"What if the person ordering is the manager?"
"Then find the general manager! There's always someone higher up the chain."
Bullhorse said carelessly.
"Boss, I mean... as delivery personnel, wouldn't it be somewhat demeaning for us to go seek out their general manager to build connections?"
Liu Zheng said tactfully.
"Remember your identity - you're a deliveryman for the Bloody Restaurant."
Bullhorse said seriously.
"Remember this: the restaurant will never give you an undeliverable order. You'll find a way either through strength, luck, or brains."
"Of course, if you have none of those, then just report to the kitchen yourself."
What reporting to the kitchen meant was naturally becoming ingredients.
"Alright. Anything else?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Also, bring me back a cup of Unlucky Coffee."
Bullhorse pulled out a paper bill and two coins and tossed them to him.
"Keep the change as tip."
It replied with feigned generosity.
"Heh, so generous."
With just those two coins, there wouldn't be any tip left.
"Shouldn't the restaurant have coffee?"
Liu Zheng asked doubtfully.
"The restaurant's coffee is just for scamming fools - expensive and tastes terrible."
Bullhorse waved his hoof.
"With a name like Unlucky Coffee, it can't taste good either, right?"
"What do you know? This coffee is super popular right now, but they only have stores in office buildings, so it's hard to get."
Bullhorse paused before adding.
"If you have money, buy extra. I'll help you distribute it to the kitchen."
"Okay."
Liu Zheng nodded.
He understood Bullhorse's meaning.
It was about to go on vacation, and when that time came, dealing with the kitchen would fall to Liu Zheng himself. Building good relations was necessary.
"Get lost now, I'm going back to sleep."
After speaking, Bullhorse returned to its nest and lay on its back.
Judging by its appearance, it probably wouldn't get up until lunch was delivered.
Liu Zheng smiled, picked up the delivery box, and walked out of the break room.
A food container was already placed on the delivery cart, and something else was lying beside it.
The drunk Ghost Hand.
It saw Liu Zheng come out, swayed as it stood up, then vomited out a pile of semi-solid matter mixed with glass shards.
"Ugh..."
Liu Zheng covered his nose.
The smell was almost comparable to that fart he'd let out before.
Fortunately, it didn't vomit on the food container.
After vomiting, Ghost Hand seemed somewhat sobered up. It waved at Liu Zheng, then jumped off the delivery cart and crawled toward the delivery channel.
Was it telling him to follow?
He needed to make deliveries anyway, so it was along the way.
However, before leaving, Liu Zheng didn't forget to put the delivery box into the Legendary delivery container.
The delivery container showed no unusual activity, indicating the food matched the delivery order.
So Liu Zheng followed Ghost Hand into the delivery channel.
The passage remained completely dark; even with his vision enhanced by the Legendary vest, he couldn't see anything.
But being accustomed to it, he didn't panic.
After walking forward about ten meters, Liu Zheng felt a push on his shoulder, causing his body to involuntarily change direction.
Then, Ghost Hand tugged at his pants leg, signaling him to move forward.
This passage actually wasn't straight?
Liu Zheng was somewhat surprised.
He had always felt his way along before, and both sides had clearly been walls.
But considering this world's abnormality, such things were actually normal.
After hesitating for two seconds, Liu Zheng decided to follow Ghost Hand.
With his Legendary vest enhancement, he could put up a fight in most situations.
If things got really bad, he could always release the dog.
Liu Zheng tentatively took a few steps forward - clear passage, as if there had always been a fork here.
So he continued forward until Ghost Hand stopped him.
It pulled Liu Zheng into a squatting position, then guided his tentacle to feel forward.
A cold, hard, smooth sensation transmitted through. After feeling around for a while, Liu Zheng became certain.
This was a skeleton.
From the shape, it appeared to be human remains.
As for whether it was male or female, he didn't have the expertise to determine.
Why was there a skeleton in a hidden passage of the delivery channel?
Whose skeleton was this? And why did Ghost Hand bring him to find it?
A series of questions flooded Liu Zheng's mind.
As he pondered, Ghost Hand pushed him to turn in another direction, then lifted his tentacle.
Was it telling him to carry the skeleton?
Liu Zheng tentatively lifted the skeleton. Its weight exceeded his expectations - at least three to four hundred pounds.
Oral breathing was still breathing, after all.
He just wondered if Ghost Hand snored when it slept.
Finally, Ghost Hand jumped off his shoulder and returned to the darkness.
Squinting his eyes, Liu Zheng carried the skeleton toward the light.
Once out of the channel, he set the skeleton down.
Despite its weight, the skeleton was actually quite small - probably only around 1.7 meters tall when alive.
The bones showed no injuries, but the right hand was missing. The break was extremely smooth, like a congenital deformity.
For some reason, Liu Zheng thought of Ghost Hand.
Was it a left hand or right hand again?
No item description appeared; he couldn't use the system to learn this skeleton's origins.
Ghost Hand also hadn't told Liu Zheng how to handle it.
But he could make some educated guesses.
A skeleton - judging by its condition, it didn't seem likely to resurrect, so naturally it should be laid to rest.
Which raised the question: what ground was most suitable for burial?
Liu Zheng carried the skeleton and ran all the way to the street with the plane tree.
This time it didn't cause any trouble, staying properly still without even showing its face, just like a real tree.
"Morning, Mr. Tree!"
Liu Zheng greeted with full vigor.
"Ahhhhhhh!"
The plane tree's face emerged, erupting in screams.
"What's wrong with you this early morning?"
He said, covering his ears.
"Are you fucking insane? I've been fishing all day!"
The plane tree cursed angrily.
"Fish? Where would fish come from?"
Liu Zheng felt the tree was the crazy one, and seriously so.
"Who told you fish only exist in water? The fish in soil are the truly fresh ones. I spent the whole day pretending to be one of my idiot brethren to lure a school of soil carp. Your shouting scared them all away."
The plane tree looked at him with murderous eyes.
"Ahaha, the weather's really nice today."
Liu Zheng looked up at the sky.
"You'd better have something good or good news. Otherwise, while I can't kill you, I can definitely make you suffer."
The plane tree said viciously.
"No good news, but I brought you something good to drink."
Liu Zheng set down the skeleton and prepared to take out the drink he'd prepared.
Suddenly, he saw the plane tree's expression change dramatically.
"Li! It's you!"
