Chapter 247 Xie Sui's Biggest Taboo

This girl was A Fei's fiancée. He'd forgotten her name, which was really awful!

Xie Sui felt a pang of sympathy for the poor kid. He'd given his all to her, only to lose his money and get cheated on. Truly tragic!

But how was he supposed to tell him?

Xie Sui was in a dilemma. As he walked out of the restroom, he saw Guan Zhizhi. "Hello, Miss Guan."

He offered a greeting and left. Guan Zhizhi gnashed her teeth in anger. She'd never met a man so indifferent to her, and he didn't seem to be faking it; he genuinely wasn't interested.

Guan Zhizhi came out of the restroom and went straight to Xie Sui, her face a mask of fury. "Mr. Xie, this is someone's private space. Can you show some respect for the host?"

Xie Sui asked, "Where am I being disrespectful? Please explain. Miss Guan, you can't just slander me because you're pretty."

Guan Zhizhi threw something at him. "This fell in the restroom. Please clean up after yourself when you're being gross. It's disgusting!"

It was a pair of panties, a thong at that. Xie Sui immediately threw it back. "Are you sick? Who throws something like this at someone? It's such bad luck!"

Some superstitious people really avoided this. Being hit in the face with a woman's undergarments could bring three years of bad luck!

Xie Sui was starting to dislike this woman. Her beautiful exterior couldn't hide her overbearing and unreasonable personality.

"Why do you assume it was me? You need evidence, Miss Guan. Please apologize to me!"

Xie Sui was genuinely angry now. His eyes were cold and disgusted, which made Guan Zhizhi feel both ashamed and furious. "You just came out, and this thing was inside. If it wasn't you, who else was it?"

"The restroom is public. My going in doesn't mean I did anything indecent. I could say it was yours. Want me to check if my little brother is clean?"

"You, vulgar!"

Guan Zhizhi hadn't expected him to be so uncouth, and her face turned red with anger.

Xie Sui: "I'm a scoundrel, and I'd rather be vulgar than be slandered by you!"

Seeing them arguing, Du Feiyang and Tang Ling quickly came to mediate. "What's going on? Why are you arguing?"

Du Feiyang tried to pacify Xie Sui. "Don't stoop to a woman's level. We're men; there's no honor in winning against them. Maintain your dignity!"

"Dignity be damned. Do you know how outrageous she was?"

Xie Sui couldn't stand it. She'd thrown a used pair of panties at him, and he felt completely defiled.

Guan Zhizhi was surprised by his strong reaction. However, she, who had always been flattered and praised, would never apologize, nor could she.

Xie Sui was eventually pulled away by Du Feiyang. After a few stiff drinks, he recounted what had happened. Du Feiyang stifled a laugh. "What a coincidence! No wonder she misunderstood. But you didn't have to overreact like that. I always thought you had a good temper."

Xie Sui: "That depends on the situation. Just because I have a good temper doesn't mean she can bully me? I'm telling you, men are most averse to being tainted by such filthy things; it brings bad luck.

Forget it, I'll go to a good incense-burning temple in Hong Kong to pray for good fortune."

The older generation was very superstitious, and masters with real abilities were highly sought after, charging millions for their services. The younger generation wasn't as keen. Du Feiyang found it amusing, thinking he sounded like an old man.

After the incident, Xie Sui decided to get some fresh air and go sea fishing. A while later, he felt a tug. When he reeled it in, it was a broken leather shoe. Enraged, he tossed it onto the deck. "See? See? I told you it would affect my luck, and look, bad fortune has begun. Let's go back, we can't stay here. It's too dangerous.

What if we encounter a tsunami, a typhoon, or pirates? We could lose our lives."

Xie Sui was determined to return. If they wanted to play, they could, but he'd rather go back alone in a lifeboat.

Du Feiyang and He Mengchao, his two close friends, decided to accompany him. It wasn't easy to go out to sea, and they didn't want to spoil the mood for everyone.

And so, the three of them, plus a driver, returned home. It was completely dark by the time they arrived, past ten at night.

Xie Sui washed up and poured himself a drink. That night, he had nightmares and slept poorly.

He was woken by the phone ringing early in the morning. It was Lin Wanwan. He hadn't called last night, and she was worried, wanting to check up on him.

Xie Sui rubbed his temples, feeling a bit dizzy. "Wanwan, I went out on a boat with some friends yesterday and got some wind. I didn't rest well, and I have a headache."

Lin Wanwan expressed her concern. "Is that so? Then you should take some medicine and drink some ginger soup to sweat it out. Don't push yourself. You rarely catch a cold, but when you do, it's hard to get better."

"My wife really cares about me. I understand. I'll go buy medicine right now. Is everything alright at home? Don't hide any bad news from me. When I get back, I'll settle the score with you."

A trace of worry flickered across Lin Wanwan's brow, so she decided to tell him the truth. "There's a small issue, but I didn't want to bother you. Since you said that, I'll tell you. It's my sister. She still has the nerve to come to our house. I chased her out with a broom.

But she wouldn't leave and stayed in the county town. She tells everyone she meets that she's our sister and is hanging out with Yan Xiaoliang and his gang. I have a bad feeling about her."

Xie Sui narrowed his eyes. How thick-skinned could this Lin Shishi be, to dare show her face again?

He didn't have time to deal with her, and she was pushing her luck?

"Leave this to me. Don't worry, and take good care of our daughter!"

"Didn't we say it was a son?"

"If I say it enough, maybe it'll become a daughter? It's not decided until the baby is born."

Lin Wanwan couldn't help but smile. Everyone else longed for a son, but he wished for a daughter. Madam Xie was speechless. Wasn't having many grandsons a good thing?

Grandma Xie was overjoyed. Their Little Sui was truly blessed to have a wife who was educated and beautiful, and who had given birth to so many grandsons. They couldn't stay in the county town and wanted to return to the village to show off to her old friends.

However, worried about Lin Wanwan's health, she stayed to oversee things. Madam Xie, Xie Lan, and Xie Min took turns cooking delicious meals to nourish her. Lin Wanwan felt like she'd gained a lot of weight.

They chatted for a while, and Lin Wanwan hung up first, telling Xie Sui to go buy medicine. Just as he put down the phone, he heard Du Feiyang's voice. "Little brother Xie, no, Brother Xie, something big has happened!"

"What is it? The market hasn't even opened today, so it can't be a stock market crash, right? Impossible. Don't say anything unlucky. I'm very sensitive about that now."

Du Feiyang said, "It's not that. The yacht from last night had an accident. It was hijacked, and they're demanding ransom. The whole of Hong Kong is buzzing about it now."

Xie Sui let out a yelp and dropped the receiver on the floor, staring blankly ahead.
