Chapter 960: Chapter 960: Is He the One Behind It?
He never thought that deep inside these two children, there were so many worries.
Because of the antidote issue, ever since he left the clinic, he’s been struggling internally.
He even somewhat deliberately avoided Lu Wanwan, not wanting her to take this risk, yet unsure if he should be doing so.
Unexpectedly, in their view, his demeanor seemed to indicate something quite different.
“You’ve been worrying about this all along?” Gu Annan’s tone finally changed.
In a normal family, even if parents quarrel, children wouldn’t worry about being abandoned right away.
In these years, they seemed to have grown well, yet this kind of worry always lingered.
Even if they reunite and return to his side, they might still be constantly anxious, fearing this family might change at any moment.
“She worries, I don’t worry that much.” Little Momo shrugged, “I think you wouldn’t do something like that, right?”
Gu Annan raised an eyebrow with slight surprise, “Why do you think I wouldn’t do that?”
“Although I don’t know why you and Mommy were like this before, I think you are not such an irresponsible, uncommitted person,” Little Momo said word by word, “Besides, you wouldn’t treat Mommy like that.”
He stared at Little Momo for a while and let out a light laugh, “Come over here.”
Little Momo walked up to him, and Gu Annan patted his head, “You’re right. You all mean more to me than my life. No matter what happens, I would never let any of you leave me.”
“No matter what happens, it won’t change?” Little Momo widened his eyes, “What if Mommy makes you angry in the future?”
Gu Annan curved his lips, “She often makes me angry, yet I always let it go.”
“Swear it!” Little Momo stared at him, eyes unblinking.
“I swear!” Gu Annan said solemnly, then added, “But do you believe in swearing?”
Little Momo thought for a moment and shook his head.
“Rather than believe in swearing, believe in your own judgment. You yourself said you think I won’t do it, so naturally, I won’t do it.” Gu Annan continued, “Next time, I’ll make sure not to bring any personal emotions home.”
Little Momo nodded and sensibly said, “Daddy, are you troubled by something? I can help you!”
“You help me?” He smiled, “The best thing you can do for me is not to casually hack into my computer or phone in the future.”
“Daddy, I can do a lot of things.”
Gu Annan was about to say that if it was about his skills, he had better people for the job.
Before he could speak, the computer suddenly beeped.
He turned to look at the screen and saw that Paul, who had not received his reply, sent a very angry emoji, looking exceptionally furious.
“Is that Brother Paul?” Little Momo widened his eyes, “Daddy, you know Brother Paul?”
Frowning, Gu Annan noticed that Paul felt deeply hurt by being called a creepy, voyeuristic, and unscrupulous shut-in who leads children astray.
“The guy who lives next door and taught you to use a computer, that’s him?” Gu Annan stiffened his face, “Paul?”
“Yeah, how do you also know Brother Paul, Daddy?”
“This unscrupulous guy, you should call him Uncle! Damn it, he found my son so early and didn’t say a word. He better not think about getting a long vacation again!” Gu Annan immediately typed out a similarly angry line in response.
As he was about to say more, the computer screen suddenly went black.
