Yumi pressed a green vending machine. The shopping page displayed various categories of medicines and medical supplies. Yumi tentatively tapped on the disinfectant section. "A bottle of iodine is 100 points."
Just as Yumi clicked to buy, a line of text appeared on the screen: Please insert card to use points for purchase!
"As expected, it requires points to buy, but," Yumi turned to look at Jing Minghe, "how do we get these cards mentioned here?"
Jing Minghe rubbed his nose and analyzed after some thought: "The large stand in the lobby mentioned 'reward cards.' I guess if we meet certain conditions, the system will issue rewards to us. These shopping cards are probably the so-called rewards."
"Maybe," a hint of disappointment crossed Yumi's face. "It seems we can't buy anything right now, and it's not mealtime. Let's go back to the room and rest."
Jing Minghe agreed and then asked Yue Yang, "Mr. Yue, would you like to look around elsewhere?"
"No, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to see. Let's go back to the room together."
After Yue Yang spoke, he turned and walked towards the elevator.
Jing Minghe followed behind Yue Yang, his eyes narrowing slightly. He sensed that Yue Yang wasn't so much here to check out the shopping area with them as he was using it as an opportunity to observe him.
Because while he and Yumi were studying the vending machine, he could clearly feel Yue Yang's gaze never leaving him.
Even if he were looking for a partner, would he go to such lengths?
Jing Minghe felt inexplicably curious. Was there something about him that attracted Yue Yang?
The elevator doors opened, and the three took the elevator to the fifth floor together.
Outside the elevator was a long corridor, indistinguishable from an ordinary hotel. The only difference was that instead of numbers, names were displayed on the nameplates of each room.
Walking down the corridor, Jing Minghe found the room with his nameplate. Chi Hao was in the room next to his, and Yumi was diagonally opposite.
Yue Yang quickly found his room, bid farewell to Jing Minghe, and went straight inside.
Jing Minghe didn't enter his room but continued walking forward for a bit. He said to Yumi, who had been following him, "I counted. There are eleven rooms with nameplates."
"Which means," Yumi finished Jing Minghe's thought, "there will be eleven players in this rest area."
"Eleven again. I suspect these eleven players will go to the next instance together." Jing Minghe then turned and smiled at Yumi, "Alright, go rest quickly. You need to be well-rested to face the next challenge."
"Mm," Yumi was truly tired and didn't force himself anymore. "You're right."
After watching Yumi enter his room, Jing Minghe stared at Chi Hao's room next door for a moment. He hesitated but decided not to provoke this influential figure for now, even though he really wanted to discuss things with someone.
Jing Minghe entered his room and casually turned on the light.
The interior structure of the room was no different from a typical hotel room. It had complete bathing facilities, and there was a set of clean clothes on the bed, prepared from inside out.
"Heh."
Jing Minghe let out a cold laugh and took the clean clothes into the bathroom to wash up.
Having not slept well during the few days at the villa, Jing Minghe went straight to bed after showering. When he woke up, it was already noon the next day.
He vaguely heard a knock on the door. Jing Minghe got out of bed and went to open it.
Opening the door, he saw Yumi standing outside, holding a bag containing food.
