"Oh," was the only response Lu Yang received from the Insectoid Queen, a cool, detached remark.
The Insectoid Queen gazed at Lu Yang indifferently. "You sought me out just for this?"
Lu Yang frowned. The Queen's placid expression made it difficult for him to discern her true thoughts.
"What we have between us has nothing to do with Qingqing," Lu Yang stated again.
The Insectoid Queen merely watched him, remaining silent.
"What exactly do you want?" After a long pause, Lu Yang said, his voice laced with frustration.
The Insectoid Queen finally spoke, her tone apathetic. "I told you the rules. I want Lu Wanqing to survive on Earth for one year."
"And during this year, you guarantee you won't harm her?" Lu Yang pressed.
Given the current circumstances, they weren't worried about Lu Wanqing's survival capabilities. Their sole concern was whether the Insectoid Queen might suddenly change her mind.
"When you left our main star, did you ever consider you might anger me and cause me to change my mind?" the Insectoid Queen questioned coldly.
Lu Yang's brow furrowed so tightly that a mosquito could have been crushed. In his entire life, he had never felt so powerless. He knew Wanqing was on Earth, yet he was utterly unable to approach her, or even guarantee Qingqing's safety. This helplessness made him want to erupt, to slaughter every single insectoid.
"If you have nothing else, I will return to Earth now," the Insectoid Queen said indifferently. She turned to leave.
"Wanwan!" Lu Ming rushed out from behind Lu Yang. He ran to the Insectoid Queen's side, pleading, "Can the third brother and I accompany you to Earth to see Wanqing? We promise we won't interfere with her life. Everything on Earth will be up to Wanqing herself."
Lu Yang grew anxious at this. The hand he kept by his side clenched slightly. Would the Insectoid Queen… agree?
The Insectoid Queen's steps faltered only slightly before she let out a cold snort and returned to her spaceship.
The next moment, the Insectoid Queen's ship turned, re-entering Earth's atmosphere.
Lu Yang, desperate to follow, was blocked by insectoid soldiers.
"The Queen has ordered that no humans are to approach Earth!"
Lu Yang raised his hand and sent the insectoid soldier flying with a single palm strike.
The surrounding insectoid soldiers recoiled in shock. They raised their weapons, and nearby warships even aimed their cannons at Lu Yang.
Lu Ming's heart tightened. He quickly returned, grabbed Lu Yang, and explained to the insectoid soldiers, "It's a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding. My third brother is just too anxious. We won't force our way onto Earth!"
Lu Ze also hurried over, pulling Lu Yang back.
"Third brother, calm down. Wanwan won't harm Qingqing. Qingqing is not in immediate danger," Lu Ze urged anxiously.
They absolutely could not openly clash with the insectoids unless it was a last resort. The giant star cannon was still positioned above Earth. If the insectoids fired, Qingqing would truly be doomed, and Earth would be destroyed!
Lu Ming and Lu Ze escorted Lu Yang away. Federal Marshal Zhong Li Xing also arrived, and together they took Lu Yang back.
Upon returning to his spaceship, Lu Yang departed in a small craft.
He intended to investigate with the Federation and enlist the help of the people of Tianxing to research a way to enter Earth, similar to the methods used by Zhong Li Feiyu and others.
Lu Wanqing and Cui Cui awoke to a new day.
The main framework of the house had been erected yesterday. Today's primary task was to construct the roof.
It hadn't rained since they arrived on Earth, but no one could guarantee it wouldn't rain later. If it did, having a roof on the house would be beneficial, at least to shelter them from wind and rain, preventing the interior from getting wet.
The wood required for the roof frame was different in size from that used for the overall house structure.
Lu Wanqing directed the archaeological robots to begin another round of tree felling.
The trees to be cut this time were much smaller, allowing for faster progress. The archaeological robots could almost fell a tree with a single strike, quickly trimming the side branches.
Even Cui Cui could drag these smaller trees to the house. With an extra person helping, efficiency increased.
By noon, they had felled a large pile of logs, each about the size of an adult's arm.
As it neared noon, Lu Wanqing took Cui Cui hunting. This time, however, she was lucky and encountered a rabbit, just like on the first day they arrived on Earth.
This rabbit wasn't entirely black; its fur was a grayish-black, as if it had eaten the purified green grass and had its own body slowly purified.
Lu Wanqing refused to pass up this rare opportunity to vary their diet. She picked up her bow and arrow, aiming at the rabbit.
Cui Cui's heart pounded, a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
The next second, the rabbit fell!
Cui Cui leaped up with joy. "You hit it!!!"
Like a little cannonball, Cui Cui dashed over and retrieved the rabbit.
Lu Wanqing felt a surge of happiness watching Cui Cui's delighted smile.
"Mom, this rabbit is gray," Cui Cui said happily, carrying the rabbit back.
"Mm," Lu Wanqing replied with a smile.
"It probably ate the green grass we watered with our abilities, which purified it somewhat," Lu Wanqing explained.
"Yes!" Cui Cui nodded emphatically.
Back home, Lu Wanqing began to clean the rabbit.
They now had knives, making the task much easier.
In the live stream, everyone watched as Lu Wanqing skillfully prepared the prey. Finally, she placed the cleaned rabbit meat into a basin and soaked it in ability water.
"Ahhh, I really want the goddess's water!"
"Same here! What the heck are the insectoids doing? Hurry and release our Goddess Wanqing! I have a premonition that the goddess's water can change the entire interstellar era!"
"We hope the Federation and the Empire find a way to rescue the goddess soon."
On the human side, many lamented.
On the insectoid planet, some insectoids were secretly contemplating trying to reach Earth.
Lu Wanqing's water seemed incredibly potent. Even the grass purified by her water, when eaten by animals, could purify them. They desperately wanted to acquire some for research.
However, while some coveted it, others feared it. Purification, after all, could be good or bad.
During the ancient Earth era, their insectoid ancestors were relatively primitive, unable to speak, their cognitive abilities lagging. It was precisely because of this that they were bullied by humans to such an extent, leading to the extinction of countless species by human consumption. How detestable!
They also worried what if their own evolution over many years was purified away? What if, after eating a blade of grass, they reverted to the unintelligent, ordinary creatures of over three thousand years ago, only to be bullied by humans again?
