Chapter 718 Harvey Is Asking for Trouble

Weiwei stood there, quietly watching her mommy and daddy.

Lu Wanqing felt a pang of heartache and walked towards Weiwei, reaching out to pick her up.

But as Weiwei saw her mother approaching, she was terrified. She couldn't be touched, couldn't be held. If they got close, if they hugged, daddy and mommy would disappear, the dream would end!

Weiwei suddenly recoiled in fear and quickly ran away, "Don't come near me!"

Lu Wanqing froze, staring at Weiwei in shock. Had something happened at home in the year they were gone? Why did Weiwei… no longer like her mommy and daddy?

"Weiwei?" Lu Wanqing called Weiwei's name cautiously, moving towards her.

Weiwei continued to back away, fleeing, and shouted, "Don't come over!"

She knew this wasn't her real mother, but her mother from a dream. Yet, even in a dream, she wanted to spend a little more time with her mother, she didn't want the dream to end so quickly.

Lu Yang was also startled. He looked at Weiwei, his expression filled with apprehension, "Weiwei, what's wrong?"

Weiwei, whom they had personally nurtured and raised, was reacting in a way that worried them.

Lu Yang also walked towards Weiwei.

Weiwei retreated frantically, soon finding herself cornered. She looked at her parents, anxiously saying, "Daddy, Mommy, don't come closer. If you come any closer, you'll disappear." Then Weiwei wouldn't be able to see you again!

She didn't voice the last sentence, but her heart ached.

Just then, someone suddenly entered from the door. It was Cuicui.

Cuicui's eyes widened in surprise and then joy upon seeing the situation in the room, "Mommy? Your Majesty Daddy?"

Cuicui's voice startled Weiwei. She opened her eyes wide and looked at her sister Cuicui at the door.

For a moment, Weiwei was bewildered. Why had she even dreamed of Sister Cuicui this time? Was it because Sister Cuicui was usually so good to her that she had brought Sister Cuicui along in her dreams?

Lu Wanqing and Lu Yang also turned to look at Cuicui. After a year, Cuicui seemed different. She stood there, lacking some of the childishness she used to have, replaced by an aura of independence and strength, like… a queen?

Lu Wanqing thought this and walked towards Cuicui. She reached Cuicui, then extended her hands and gently pulled Cuicui into her embrace.

The moment she leaned into her mother's embrace, Cuicui realized it was real, not a dream. It was Mommy!

Mommy and His Majesty Daddy were back!!!

Cuicui's heart raced. Excited, she quickly reached out to hug her mother, then looked at His Majesty Daddy. She couldn't bear to be parted from Mommy and His Majesty Daddy and wanted to be with them forever.

Weiwei stood in the corner, her small self shocked as she witnessed Sister Cuicui hugging her mother.

How could this be?

How could the Sister Cuicui in her dream hug Mommy? She couldn't hug them; if she did, Mommy and His Majesty Daddy would disappear!

Lu Yang had been keeping an eye on Weiwei. The unexpected estrangement after their long absence worried him. Seeing Weiwei staring with wide eyes at Lu Wanqing and Cuicui, he subtly walked over, bent down, and scooped Weiwei into his arms.

The moment Weiwei was held by her father, her pupils dilated in shock.

They didn't disappear?

Was the dream she was having this time so good? Both she and Sister Cuicui could hug Daddy and Mommy, and Daddy and Mommy wouldn't disappear?

With this thought, Weiwei immediately extended her small hands and tightly hugged her father's neck. At the same time, she stretched her head forward, looking towards her mother.

Lu Wanqing quickly noticed Weiwei's longing gaze. She released Cuicui and looked at Weiwei, taking her from her brother's arms.

A few minutes later, Weiwei realized the truth: what had just happened was real. She wasn't dreaming. Daddy and Mommy were really back, and Mommy hadn't died. It was wonderful!

Lu Wanqing and Lu Yang also understood Weiwei's thoughts. Weiwei had thought they were just a figment of her dream? As a mother, Lu Wanqing's eyes welled up instantly.

"I'm sorry, we made you worry," Lu Wanqing said, hugging Weiwei, her voice choked with emotion.

Weiwei's small hands clung to her mother's neck, unwilling to let go. This was her mother, her real mother.

Half an hour later, Harvey also received the news and rushed back. The first thing he did upon entering the palace was to look for his mother!

Only when he saw his mother did Harvey believe that Sister Cuicui hadn't lied to him. Mother was truly back!

This young man, taller than his mother, suddenly had red eyes, but it was only for a moment. He quickly smiled again, looking a little silly but very cute.

"Mommy, you really didn't die? That's great!" Harvey exclaimed joyfully.

Lu Wanqing's lips twitched slightly. She was speechless. Wasn't Harvey usually very emotionally intelligent? Why did he sometimes say such infuriating things?

"Harvey, that's not how you say it!" As his own son, Lu Wanqing couldn't help but scold him.

If she didn't discipline her own son, someone else might later.

"Don't say 'you didn't die' when you first meet someone. It's very impolite to speak like that," Lu Wanqing said.

Harvey: "???"

Xavier, following behind, heard Lu Wanqing's words and looked at Harvey.

Harvey looked bewildered, "I can't say it?"

"This isn't a pirate crew," Xavier said succinctly.

Among pirates, speech was always direct. They didn't beat around the bush. On the contrary, "death" and "killing" were terms of bravery in pirate circles. Many people liked to hear others say they hadn't died because it meant they had won, survived, and were the victor.

"What's the difference?" Harvey asked.

Lu Wanqing laughed, "Of course there's a difference. In the ordinary world, Harvey, speaking like that could get you into trouble!"

Harvey: "..."

"Ordinary people are so complicated," Harvey grumbled.

Lu Wanqing's forehead twitched slightly, and she felt a sense of helplessness.

"In short, be mindful of how you speak in the future. Try to be more polite, especially concerning matters of life and death. It's best not to directly say you're dead or not dead," Lu Wanqing said.

Harvey hesitated for a moment, then agreed, "Okay, I'll be careful from now on."

"Mommy, His Majesty Daddy, you actually… you're back, that's great! Are you alright now?" Harvey's eyes sparkled as he said, overjoyed.

Lu Wanqing: "???" Why did this child seem to know they would be alright all along?

"Yes, I'm fine now," Lu Wanqing replied.

"Let's get a check-up first," Lu Yang reminded her.

Although She Wancian said she had collected the Zerg's genes, Lu Yang was still uneasy and wanted a thorough examination.
