Chapter 63 Lu Wanqing's Inspiration

Although the matter seemed resolved, Lu Wanqing still felt uneasy. She knew that if the Mu family's issues weren't completely settled, Mu Lan's situation wouldn't improve, and the child might continue to be bullied at school.

Mu Sijie also remained silent, escorting them home. After a long hesitation, he finally spoke, "I'm very sorry about what happened this time."

Mu Sijie hadn't slept properly for days and nights. Bloodshot lines were evident in his eyes, and he looked exhausted.

"Rest for a while," Lu Wanqing said.

Mu Sijie paused slightly, looking at her.

Lu Wanqing continued, "I know this is a troublesome matter, but it's useless to not rest properly. Only when you're well-rested will you have enough energy to deal with everything."

Mu Sijie gazed at her deeply for a long time before nodding. "Alright."

Mu Sijie was truly, utterly exhausted. He returned to his room, showered, and then went to sleep.

Lu Wanqing also took Xiao Mu Lan back to the third floor. The little one, as usual, needed to attend class on the star net, continuing his study of mecha manufacturing. However, their minds were too disturbed for this lesson.

"Mommy," Xiao Mu Lan finally couldn't hold back. He turned to Lu Wanqing and said earnestly, "There will definitely be no problems with the Mu family's mechas."

Lu Wanqing was taken aback by her son's words. She looked at Xiao Mu Lan, her mind going blank.

"I believe in Daddy," Mu Lan added the next moment, his voice firm.

Lu Wanqing blinked and eventually smiled, nodding. "Yes, I believe in your Daddy too."

Lu Wanqing hadn't been sure before, but looking at her son's determined eyes, she suddenly felt that she should trust Mu Sijie. Even if she didn't understand the Mu family's mechas, she trusted Mu Sijie's character. Mu Sijie was now managing everything in the Mu family, and she believed that with his integrity, he wouldn't allow problematic mechas to be released to the market.

"Let's continue with our lesson," Lu Wanqing reassured the little one and led him back to their studies on mecha manufacturing.

Lu Wanqing was diligent, watching her son learn while her own mind couldn't help but wander, thinking of many things related to mechas. Many ideas that were usually hard to come by now seemed to appear like sudden inspiration, concepts naturally emerging in her mind.

Lu Wanqing couldn't help but pick up the drawing board and brushes beside her, recording the inspirations that appeared in her mind.

As Xiao Mu Lan was learning, he suddenly noticed that his mother seemed to have entered a peculiar state. She was staring intently at the drawing board, her brush strokes smooth as she sketched, the outline of a mecha gradually appearing on the board.

After sketching the outer silhouette, Lu Wanqing began to add the internal structure: the energy core, the cockpit...

Time ticked by, but Lu Wanqing seemed oblivious to its passage, her hand never stopping as she continued to draw. Her pace wasn't fast, but her hand was constantly in motion.

After an unknown amount of time, Lu Wanqing finally stopped. She suddenly looked up and saw Xiao Mu Lan watching her. She snapped back to reality, realizing she was supposed to be accompanying her son's studies. What was happening?

"Lan Lan?" Lu Wanqing asked.

She glanced around the study room and saw that the lesson had long since ended. She looked at her son. "Is it over?"

Xiao Mu Lan nodded. "Yes."

Xiao Mu Lan looked curiously at the design Lu Wanqing had drawn and couldn't help but praise, "Mommy, is this a new mecha you designed? It's so beautiful!"

It truly was beautiful, with a powerful and cool appearance.

Lu Wanqing also came to her senses and looked seriously at what she had drawn. After a moment, she smiled and nodded. "Yes."

Lu Wanqing felt she had found her inspiration. She saved all the half-finished drafts and sent them to her personal terminal. Then she said to Xiao Mu Lan, "Let's go offline. It's time to rest."

It was late, and the little one should be bathing and sleeping.

Xiao Mu Lan nodded in response. "Okay."

They went offline together. Lu Wanqing bathed her son, read him a story, and then saw him to sleep.

After Lu Wanqing finished everything, she turned to head back to her room. But halfway there, she suddenly didn't want to sleep anymore. She had excellent inspiration now and felt she should seize this opportunity to finish drawing the mecha design as soon as possible!

With that thought, Lu Wanqing turned and headed towards the top floor. She didn't want to waste her current inspiration at all.

She walked quickly and soon reached the top floor. Once inside, her mood improved significantly. She immediately accessed her terminal, forwarded the saved drafts, and began to continue refining the design with the drawing board and brushes on the top floor.

Time passed, and the night deepened. The lights on the top floor were still on, as Lu Wanqing remained inside, working on her design.

Butler Mu seemed to sense something was amiss and cautiously came up to check a few times. Seeing Lu Wanqing engrossed in her work, he hesitated and ultimately did not disturb her.

As time went by, the drawings on Lu Wanqing's board became increasingly complete, from the overall structure of the mecha to its internal components, with one detail after another being refined.

The sky began to show the first light of dawn. The night had passed, and daybreak was imminent. Lu Wanqing blinked her tired, slightly sore eyes and looked out the window, suddenly realizing she had stayed up all night without noticing.

She looked up and saw Mu Sijie standing at the doorway, startling her. However, she quickly accepted it.

"What are you doing up here?" Lu Wanqing asked with a smile.

Mu Sijie's complexion was much better than yesterday after a night's rest. He walked in and said, "I saw the light up here, so I came to take a look."

Mu Sijie walked to Lu Wanqing's side, glanced at her drawing board and brushes, and then asked, "You were drawing design drafts all night yesterday?"

Lu Wanqing nodded, feeling a little sheepish. "I suddenly felt inspired last night and seized the opportunity to draw everything. I didn't realize how fast time was passing; it's already dawn."

Mu Sijie opened her design drafts and looked at them. His brow furrowed as he studied them for a long time. In the end, he said nothing. He merely put down the drawing board and told Lu Wanqing, "Learning mecha manufacturing isn't something that can be mastered in a day or two. You need to pay attention to your rest and not stay up so late."

"Okay," Lu Wanqing replied with a smile, knowing that Mu Sijie was comforting her.

After this, they didn't know what else to say. There seemed to be a lack of common conversation, and the atmosphere grew somewhat silent.

"You go rest. I'll take Mu Lan to kindergarten in the morning," Mu Sijie said after a pause.

Lu Wanqing froze and looked up at him.

Mu Sijie looked back at her and smiled. "Don't worry. No matter how busy the company is, taking care of Mu Lan is my responsibility."
